Meet with friends who l haven't seen for a a while. Service was excellent and it had a good atmosphere. Barman very helpful. A good few hours very enjoyable. No idea about food didn't eat there.

For 12.99 and then delivery this Sunday roast was good. had the lamb and wasnt sure what to expect;would it be them thin slices of meat? - nope, thick tender slices and a good amount too, this dinner did me 2 days(but did do new roast pots on 2nd day) defo will order again-And it was hot,lots of veg,Good homemade Yorkshire...decent gravy....and it was after 4.30pm I ordered, I was happy and full...thank yoy x

Awful, put custard on sticky toffee pudding when it should be in a separate container fish is undercooked and soggy, put straight on top of the chips which has now made the soggy, never again from here!!!

Very nice lamb roast however no mint sauce which is very disappointing as it says it comes with it, mine definitely didn’t have any

Went to the nags head to watch the 5 o'clock England game today. Don't really go to pubs. What a pleasant surprise. As a local pub with many regulars it was a gem. Landlord was so accommodating and chatty, locals were such nice people, I would thoroughly recommend this pub. Come on people support your local, keep this pub going. Del boy and Rodney needs you. Best meal I have had for a long time

Such a lovely little pub now! Huge difference to what it used to be known for. The staff are friendly, it's warm & really inviting. Good selection of beers on tap, will need to try the food next time!

not the best experience , gravy like water , potatoes rock hard, roast turnips if thats what they were? hard to tell, meat was ok but apart from that nothing to write home about

Visited again on 30/11. It was steak night with steaks for two and a bottle of wine for £25. Fantastic value and the food was excellent. I especially loved the homemade onion rings! A DJ started at about 9pm and with the pub's impressive sound system the atmosphere was great. If you haven't been to the new Nags Head, I'd highly recommend it - it's a great find! First review: Very friendly with good food, great beer, cocktails and coffee. They have late night dancing on Fridays and Saturdays too. Would definitely recommend.

Don't bother. It's a "regulars only" type bar without them actually saying it is. Sadness and bitterness governs the attitude of the punters and they'll try to provoke you out of nowhere. Bar staff seems slow and unexperienced but hey ho, gotta start somewhere. Close it down and put up another rat infested chicken shop in its place. At least you'd know what to expect with those.

The bar staff a young lady was rude to my friend a polish national she served some one she knew before us even though we were waiting before them not just one person but at least three other people and then the bar man as there were only two serving he was out the back and said I was serving you witch he was after he was disappeared for a while and then said he was already serving us well no you wasn’t she should have served us before her regulars , very rude will not go there again didn’t deserve that sort of service will not go back again

I didn't have food so can't rate that but the menu did look good and the prices were reasonable

Due to last minute changes to my travel plans I ended up staying over night in Dunstable. Rather than sitting in my room bored and alone on a Friday night I decided to leave my hotel and venture out to see what was happening on the Dunstable High Street. It seemed very quiet, probably because it was the middle of the month and the weather was miserable! However I decided to keep walking hoping to find some sort of night life going on. eventually after a 5min walk I saw a pub called the Nags Head, there were a few ppl outside and I could hear the music blaring inside, (old school garage tunes) that I instantly knew and took me back to my younger days, I was hooked, and was straight away drawn in. The bouncer on the door treated me warmly and was cool to exchange some lighthearted banter. Walking through the doors I saw the pub wasnt huge, but the 80 / 90 so people were clearly having a great time, which meant I instantly felt comfortable in my surroundings, everyone was friendly and there was an inviting vibe present. The bar area wasn’t crowded with loads of people waiting to order drinks, but rather everyone was having a great time dancing to the music or chatting to one another. Not being a local or a regular here , I thought i would feel awkward just randomly going into a pub and talking to people, but straight away I got chatting and everyone seemed cool, non judgemental or hostile but just all out to have a great time and were happy to exchange a few friendly words, or to have a little banter or to have a brief, light hearted silly dance off with me. The DJ that night was the daughter of the owners, which gave it even more the feeling this was a family run pub, and well managed so all guests felt comfortable enough to let loose and have a great night. I could not fault anything at all. Deciding to go for a walk was a good decision in itself, but finding the Nags Head and walking through the doors meant I had the best Friday night this year! The bouncers were friendly and respectful and I had a real laugh with them as well as meaningful heart to heart chats. The DJ was open to requests and played tracks that kept everyone dancing and having a great time. This is a long review, hopefully I’ve articulated my opinion and made my point clear as I have only just come out of the Nags head at closing time (3am Friday night) and am writing this review at 4am… if you live in Dunstable, passing through, or stopping over, get yourself to the Nags head asap, otherwise you have missed out! On the main corner and crossroads in the heart of Dunstable, you can’t miss it! I hope you get the chance to have a night out at the Nags head and your enjoy yourself as much as I did! 👍

Put down my local, wonderful people wonderful staff good service everyone's is friendly

Great pub, great welcoming Staff and Great locals who talk and make conversation. Full of stories and laughs. Well worth a visit if passing through. I stopped a few times now and it's the same quality with different people. Good pub.

Absolutely fantastic atmosphere. It was great music from the DJ, even got me making my way to the dance floor rounded up with great prices too... felt super safe, too, with all the staff there keeping an eye literally at every corner. It's rare I feel safe, so a huge thank you to who makes the decisions for that many security to be present and having the presence they hold there.

The ownership is still new, I think they could do with a bit more variety of spirits and mixers. But overall, it's cosy and has a good night's atmosphere. They are all very welcoming, the bar staff are brilliant and so are Wayne and Theresa (owners and DJ's)

Felt a bit more like a night out time of pub. The staff were really friendly and there was a good range of drinks. The music was a bit intense and quite loud. Wouldn't recommend for a quiet drink.

Incredible Steak and Ale pie. Lovely Bradfield Brewery Beers. Limited seating, so best to book at busy times.

Great place for a night out, quiet during the week, but Thursday, Friday and Saturday the dj plays some great music, staff are very friendly and the beer selection is good as is the wines.

Absolutely disgusted at this pub!!!!! Me and my friends have drunk in here for 25 years plus and it has gone down hill dramatically in last 3-4 years...and on Friday night it was disgraceful, dirty and vile staff!!! The young girl with long dark hair threw a drink over my friend!!!!!!! We will never ever return to this place!!@ Very sad for a lot of people in dunstable.

I would like to say a Big thank you to the door staff Pauline n Liam when ever I come out for night I no I can feel safe n secure...Last night my friend went home leaving me on my own and there was a man who kept trying to get me to go home with him I spoke to door staff and they said they would keep eye on me so I would be safe...So just wanted to say Thank you..You really are great people...
