The Nab Bar in Isle of Wight

A very mediocre restaurant with ok food. The opening hours are not when food is served! This varies depending on if it is in season or not. Breakfast was only Fri, Sat & Sun and only til 11. Lunch was 12 til 3, and dinner was 5 til 8. Not the most convenient times, so did not really make us want to stay and eat with much better offerings in the area a short drive away.

Located in the Away Resorts campsite catering to the captured audience of those staying allows the venue to charge 15-20% above other local pubs and restaurants. Although saying that, food and service was excellent, staff very friendly. Food service times are quite limited (despite being open for drinks). £6.35 for a pint of madri. £4.50 for a pint of lemonade.

Nearly £12 for a soft drink and 2 packets of crisps. No food served between 1500 and 1700! Disappointing visit

Nice place but they really taking advantage with prices - 4.10 for a j2o, 6.50 a pint.

Had breakfast here today, really tasty and freshly cooked. 😋

Either overlooking the pool or views of the cliffs and sea its always lovely in the Nab. Food is nice and service fast and friendly too.

I had a sirloin steak and the quality was very good and reasonably priced. The restaurant was clean and tidy and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. All in, a very pleasant place to go.

We stayed the holiday park for a weeks holiday and on the first night we visited nab bar on our arrival we decided to sit outside and enjoy the sun when The table we was sitting next to had a DEAD MOUSE ! On the table that looks like it's been there for a while this was absolutely disgusting that table checks wasn't done and the fact no staff had noticed the dead mouse I would not recommend this place!😡

It's a lovely place with for me 1 of the best views in the whole world at its door. But... a few things for me are not quite right. Closing the bar too early. We were sat down at 9.30 and the lights were turned off by staff. So we got up and left otherwise we would of all stayed for more drinks after our meal. Decking area had a very poor feel to it. Maybe time to relay it all, as my father stepped on a new piece that was relayed and the bottom support beam was rotten, his foot went through and fell about 8inches. Staff were told & placed a chair over the broken part. I hope it's been fixed since. Closing the pool at certain times during the day causes kids to become impatient and families to up and leave. No food served whilst pool is closed in the afternoon, is lost money. The ordering of drinks from the kiosk outside causes confusion for some people as you have to wait for your drinks if your sat by the pool , and if your on the decking they're bought to you. It's a little weird and also for me doesn't work. It seems a little covid like to me. But brush up on all of these things and you have a very good resteraunt pool and great place to stay. Brilliantbforndogs and dog lovers as they are allowed inside also.

very bad experience，bought the breakfast package from the resort and was still asked to pay for £2 surcharge for classic English breakfast, I explained and showed them nowhere in the booking mentioned the £2 surcharge, but I was told this is not their business and we have to buy, for argument, we need to go to resort customer service. Fortunately, the resort customer service agreed to refund the surcharge in the end, but this is definitely very bad experience for holiday

Very disappointed, didn't have half the menu available, only offered burgers,would not recommend it

We stopped in whilst on a walk, but unfortunately they were still preparing for the April opening. However the staff were friendly and kindly let us use the baby change facilities and pointed us in the direction of a local pub. Hope you all have a fantastic season!

Very poor choice of food on the menu. Very highly priced meals of poor quality food.

Food was ok, but out of 8 dishes ordered at the same time, 4 meals were so delayed, that the 4 meals delivered first were eaten before the remaining 4 were on the table. Complained about the late food twice, but it didn't help speed it up at all.

We've eaten here before on previous stays and the food was good. This time it wasn't. Limited menu which was a surprise as I had looked at the menu online first so disappointed to find that what was available was different and it was mostly burgers. As it was late and there was no where else to go we stayed. The food came really fast but wasn't very fresh. It was dry and tasteless. Portions were really small about 5 chips on the kids meal and the chicken nuggets were hard and dry. For the price which wasn't cheap we felt very disappointed. The drinks are also very very expensive. The only good thing was the service, the staff were lovely very helpful and friendly. We wouldn't eat here again.

£Expensive£. clean restaurant staff are friendly. Food came far to quick . I believe it was re cooked we ordered and with in 4 minutes it was brought to the table very dry and tasteless for the price not worth it save your money. Drink prices expensive 5 pound a pint for a caravan park bar is dear and not much choice.

Overpriced food, horrible customer service, there are lots of bars and restaurants in the sandown area, about 10 minutes from the park, just go to that area for food and drinks...

Very pricey menu for what was on offer. My dinner was a dry burnt burger amd my partners was a very dry and chicken curry. Drinks really expensive and table services was very slow.

Food was very poor, very expensive 😢. No where else to visit without driving, so we were very disappointed. Its a shame because the site was lovley and clean, A very disappointed customer 😒

Astonishingly poor service. Total chaos with the ordering service. Had the Grandchildren with us so had to stay. 2hrs 35 mins from arrival to departure for 1 course.....certainly won't go back again this year.☹☹☹

Great Food friendly welcoming staff

Lovely gorgeous bar and restaurant as myself and my mum were staying at White Cliff Bay Holiday Park, last year, with our puppy jack Russell, ( and were coming back this year) can't wait. Love the surrounding area and coastal path, but the steep, hill down to the beach is a killer, The Nab Bar is brilliant, lovely meals and really polite staff. Always on hand to help out. See you all later in 2021!!!

Good food only let down by staff never looking at tables to see if customers need anything. I considered spilling a drink to get their attention and there were 3 or 4 tables with people only, not a busy evening so no excuse. Please train your staff in customer service.

Decor wise is lovely and the staff also brilliant. The food however is something else. For the price! It's bland dry and has no taste. Disappointed at the most.

Ate outside here twice whilst staying at the park and the service was excellent. Very good covid measures in place and staff really nice and helpful. Food was good, probablly overpriced but you have to expect that when staying at a park like this.

Lovely setting but £2.75 for a soft drink is a bit steep!

Second time we’ve been this year and both times something was left off the order despite it being read back and checked. Mushroom linguini was not pleasant, quite bland and tasteless and greasy, chicken wings tasted like they were microwaved from frozen (a member of our party is a chef), hunter’s chicken was over cooked and dry, the bacon was cremated and the salad couldn’t have gotten more limp. Cheesy ciabatta was greasy and not very tasty at all. Also, the tables being made out of poorly fitted planks of wood meant that there was salt and things left behind from previous diners such as pieces of batter etc in the large gaps, not great on a hygiene level Think they knew were were unhappy as not once were we asked if the food was ok. Only reason the food was eaten is because we travelled all day and were tired and hungry. Plus side is they are dog friendly

Looks nice, retro pinball machines are the best part of this place and the toilets are funky having tin buckets as urinals. Prices are expensive for an on site restaurant. Drink prices are ridiculous go Yarbridge Inn up the road. Home cooked food and better value for money

The food is disappointing. The Pizza is a Chicago town 4 cheese Pizza, slightly underdone. The side salad comes with no dressing. Halloumi salad consists of only a green leaf base, maybe half of a red pepper, two cherry tomatoes and 2 shredded slices of halloumi, all drowned in Cheap balsamic vinegar. The The pancakes with Nutella were some readymade pancakes that they did not even bother to heat up. Admittedly- they looked great, but we're not enjoyable for over 7 GBP. Even after they took it back and maybe put in the microwave, it came back cold. They refunded the money without a fuss, which was nice. Overall a nice place to enjoy a drink, but not to eat ready made meals that have been badly heated. Minigolf is 2 pounds per ball and stick and quite enjoyable

100% better with the refurbishment. Very modern and themed perfectly! Staff friendly. Great range of food/ drink at affordable prices. Seating areas next to the pool and out front over looking the green/ cliffs. Lots of different well thought out areas including a games room. Didn’t eat here hence only the 4 stars.
