I don't think I've ever had a worse experience in hospitality. The experience of having to cross the bar to get to the room is already special, but so be it! Let's get past the slightly sticky floor and go to the bedroom. On the ground floor, we are promised that there will be no noise. The mattress is of such poor quality that you can feel the springs all night! The soundproofing is non-existent, we heard the antics of other visitors and their comings and goings the 3 nights we were there. Not to mention the noise of the cars, and the noise of the bar customers... The bathroom is basic, but above all it smells very bad. I had a feeling of uneasiness most of the time. I had an exhausting stay not being able to sleep. The cider in the bar tastes funny, and the staff aren't particularly friendly... In short, I would really like not to repeat the experience.. It's a shame because, on paper, it's rather typical and it could be charming and welcoming...could.

The location is great for a night in Birmingham, it had value for money, clean and everything worked fine.

Bar man was excellent, hospitable and knowledgeable. Had a lovely evening would definitely recommend this bar, especially because of the service

Everything is fine, staff were good on arrival, barman was cool, bar woman was cool, the breakfast was great everything was ok, stayed on top floor everything ok with room really comfy, couldn't hear any noise, only thing disappointing was England lost, amd the location if the pub was somewhere else it would be better place to stay but would happily come back here. All staff were amazing will happy say which room we stayed at do you know who has wrote this

Very tired, stinky rooms and very grotty bathroom.. Would not return - especially for the price charged.

Like the pub, very nice on a Sunday for me O.A.B, and gets me out as local.

The only positive thing was the price. Otherwise not recommended.

Just an overnight stay with Family . My single room on ground floor ;- good ..Sunny room , comfy bed - 2 singles . Could get noise from bar ,but wasn't late. Easy parking Helpful.staff...

15mins walk from Central. Surprisingly busy and lively. rooms are modest, showers are nice and hot and the beds are so comfy (I could sleep all day)

Very nice pub, nice room. But the soundproofing is a disaster, especially on Saturday evenings when there is a concert at the pub. It's live in your room. But 15 minutes from the city center, quiet area. We'll come back. is on the pub to eat too but you have a lot of restaurants nearby too and not expensive

Staff member was miserable and I felt like a nuisance. Was going to deny me a room unless I provided photo ID, luckily had old licence in car. Room was clean enough, miserable view, WiFi worked ok. In a rough bit of Birmingham. Parking free. Was cheap but wouldn't rush back. No breakfast.

the walls are thin as paper you can hear everything. they have loud music in the bar and the people don’t keep the corridor doors closed so you can barely get any rest. the bed is uncomfortable and you can feel all the arches in the mattress. the bathroom was dirty especially the shower. wouldn’t recommend to even an enemy. never again. and for this poor quality the price is really high.

This was an absolute delight- our mate was down for the night and is a lifetime goth so we thought we'd give the goth night a go on a whim. What a great night we had - area is a bit sketchy but the venue is very nice and felt safe... clean, good size, good doorstaff, good crowd, quick service and good prices despite being busy, clean toilets, excellent music and a huge outdoor space. Really enjoyed ourselves and would go again. Can't speak for the venue day to day, but we enjoyed this event.

Great location for the city centre with free parking for residents. Within walking distance of the o2 institute or less than £10 by taxi. Considering the location it was quite quiet at night apart from the occasional noise from other guests. It could be a much better experience with a little more care. The room was cheap but the beds weren't comfortable, lumpy pillows, no mattress protectors on the beds and a flat sheet that didn't quite cover the whole mattress. There were plenty of plugs and mirrors in the room. The extractor fan in the bathroom was broken, with no window, so the bathroom smelled damp as soon as you walked in. The grout in the shower was turning black. No hooks or rail to hold your towels in the bathroom. The finer details in the room were missed, things like crumbs in the drawers and a toilet brush I'd rather not describe. Whilst it wasn't a problem for us, there are a lot of stairs to tackle to get to some of the rooms. The staff on arrival seemed like they couldn't really be bothered with customers but the morning staff (sorry, only caught Tracey's name) were all very friendly and helpful. The whole area where the rooms are was hotter than hell with no way of turning the heating down in the room. We had a wall mounted heater in our room that we didn't use and had to open the window. Towels, soap and body wash are provided, as well as a tea tray. It did the job for one night but I don't think we'd have tolerated those beds any longer.

Perfect for where I needed to be, the rooms are lovely and clean and I love the bar. Only teensy issue is no food fri-sun. I am looking forward to getting a cooked meal when I get home.

Great place for a beer and catch up. Dj was playing on arrival and had a great evening.
