The Moonraker Hotel in Wiltshire

We couldn't have chosen a better venue for our wedding than the Moonraker Hotel. We initially stayed at this beautiful stone manor house back in 2016 for a one-night stay and were immediately enchanted by its charming rural setting. When we decided to get married, it was an easy decision to book the Moonraker for our wedding. The communication throughout the planning process was excellent, and the wedding taster was a fantastic opportunity for us to try the food that would be served at our wedding breakfast. On the big day, everything went brilliantly. The staff worked tirelessly to make our day special and did not let us down. The team was absolutely fantastic, making us feel truly valued. The exclusive use of the hotel grounds for us and our guests made the day incredibly private and special. Each room had so much character and uniqueness. We are beyond pleased that we chose the Moonraker Hotel for our wedding and are incredibly grateful to the Moonraker team for making us and our guests feel so special. If you get put in room 4... good luck to you. The walls are paper thin, its horrendous they can even sell a night in this room. After a long days work, im exhausted and trying to sleep. I had am elderly gentleman in the room above on the phone until 23:00, then decided to move every piece of furniture in his room until 23:30, he manages to fall asleep and i can hear him snoring through the roof the entire night, theres absolutely no1 to raise this to, as they close the front desk at 23:00. Im not exaggerating you can hear everything.

Expensive pints but the beds make it all worth it. They are so nice

Unfortunately the rooms in the oldest part of the building are just awful. Very cramped, difficult to reach by very steep stairs, low head height and overcrowded with poor quality furniture. Not even cleaned properly and very cold. Difficult to recommend these rooms to anyone however the rest of the hotel ( newer rooms) such as the dining area was comfortable and pleasant. Food very good and staff very helpful and friendly. My advice would be to avoid the old rooms if you can.

Great wedding venue, we had a great time. It is definitely an oldy-worldy Inn, lots of charm and a cosy atmosphere. It has some gardens and a courtyard and the buildings look beautiful. The main Manor House is beautiful with a number of renovated buildings around, a lovely setting for a wedding ceremony and evening event. Than you.

Great hotel the people were wonderful.

Lovely courtyard garden but overall needs quite a lot of tlc. Staff and very pleasant and helpful. Rooms are tired, bathroom bleak. Food quality good with reasonably priced wine list.

Lovely quaint hotel with loads of character. Only stayed for one night as I was away for work but could happily have stayed longer. The staff were really friendly and accommodating, making me a sandwich when I arrived too late for dinner. My room was in a separate building, which has its own lounge area. The bed was very comfortable, always important, and it was nice to have sachets of hot chocolate along with the usual tea and coffee in the room. The bathroom was a good size, I could have swung plenty of cats in it, had I found any available for such a jaunt. A very nice find and good value for money. I shall definitely stay again if I'm in the area.

Charisma went above and beyond to ensure that every detail of my couples wedding was absolutely perfect. Keeping everything on schedule, she handled it all with grace and style. Her passion for her work and dedication to her clients truly shone through, making the event a seamless and unforgettable experience. The staff at the Moonraker Hotel – they were all amazing! Each member of the team was friendly, professional, and went out of their way to make sure that everyone had a fantastic time. Whether it was serving drinks with a smile or helping guests find their way around, they were all absolute stars. As for the hotel itself, it's simply stunning. The historic charm combined with modern amenities creates a magical atmosphere that's perfect for any event. And the surrounding countryside is breathtaking – the perfect backdrop for a wedding! My experience at the Moonraker Hotel is always nothing short of incredible, If you're looking for a venue for your next event, look no further – the Moonraker Hotel has it all. We stayed here to celebrate a birthday. The food and service were excellent. Very comfortable rooms and friendly staff.

Booked overnight stay in one of their superior rooms the room we were allocated was far from it, nothing like the pictures on their website I went to reception thinking this was a mistake to be told the hotel was full and we couldn't be moved and it was one of their superior rooms this was really disappointing as the only thing superior about the room was the size of the bed. The decor was tired toilet seat had paint flaked off it & the ceiling lights all had the lenses missing so a draft was coming from them from the roof space above.Food was fine and the staff were lovely but wouldn't stay again if thats their idea of a superior room.
