Been here with my daughter tonight great value for money food lovely and fresh and staff were amazing would definitely recommend to anyone will be going back

Food was amazing loved every single bit of it defiantly recommend food fresh and very hot very good service well worth the money will definitely be visiting again.

I have been visiting the Milon restaurant since 1976 and was there last night. It was a fantastic meal as usual with great service and a lovely ambience. We can't wait for our next visit. And the prices are very reasonable for the quality that is served. Gem of a place in our area.

Came here yesterday around 20:00 for dinner, food was lovely, price was great and overall service was great. 100% will come back here for my next Indian.

Just cancelled our table for 2 for friday 14th.we booked it almost a week ago but strangely had a call from the restaurant tonight 11 feb asking if we want to book a table for the 14th..I explained that we already have..he confirmed this and then said he needed a £20 deposit over the phone..I told him to cancel.he then said I could call in the restaurant to pay the deposit if I wanted.i again told him to cancel..he asked me to hold the line but I ended the call.i have previously been called by a restaurant a few days before our booking to confirm we are still dining there on the arranged date but never been called for a deposit a week after we had actually booked .haha

Visited on New Year’s Eve as a last minute change of plan, although it was a little busy we did wait a long time for them to take our order. Waited over half an hour to even be acknowledged and had to ask for them to take a drinks order and get a menu. Not the best service! No ice in the drinks, my beer seemed a little flat. As I said they were a little busy so just left it at that, starters arrived which were to their usual decent standard. When the mains came 1 of the party ordered a sizzler which I’m afraid to say was not sizzling, all the rest was ok. This is not my first visit to this restaurant and it’s just little things that keep just letting it down from being a good place in my opinion. The service and issues will not stop me from going again I will give them another go as the owners are really pleasant.

We visited The Milon this evening for my mums 60th birthday and there was a party of 11 of us. The service was excellent with nothing to much trouble for any of the staff. The food was excellent quality and the portion size was perfect. The staff sorted out a cake we had provided and my mum was treated to a complimentary drink for her birthday which was a nice touch. This place has been here for nearly 50 years and you can see why. Overall i would definitely recommend The Milon.

We booked a table, on line last minute for New Year's eve with no problem. The food and service was excellent. Brilliant menu, extremely tasty food good portions, highly recommended.

We all enjoyed the food I had tandori chicken some of the others had steak but everyone enjoyed it the staf were very helpful and friendly

We popped in, no table booked tonight for two. I have problems with spice and eating. We explained I can only eat a soft diet. Nothing was too much trouble Husband had poppadums and chicken pakora starter. He had chicken balti. The waiter advised mild fish curry no spice, lots of sauce ... it was beautiful I ate more tonight than I have in a long time. I ordered the chocolate and vanilla ice cream along with a baileys coffee and husband had Jamaican coffee ... throughly enjoyed it. Thank you to all the waiters. The owner came over to say hello which lovely. We will be back

Really poor service and food. I know it's petty but it's the only Indian I've ever had where I didn't get poppadoms, the pakoras were dry, the fried rice was just boiled and they forgot my drink and had to come back to deliver it. They refused to refund my delivery as they said the system wouldn't let them despite it being an hour late (90 mins after I ordered) and forgetting my drink which turned up a further 20 mins later. They handed me £2.50 at the door for the J2O which cost £2.55.

Outstanding service Came here 5th july for my partners birthday. Beautiful quiet place Staff are excellent well mannered polite. Food was excellent beautifully served and plenty in portions. All round an outstanding. Highly recommended.

Visited here as a small group recently and were the only ones in all night. The food was really good and tasty with good sized portions. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially in relation to allergens. The curry wasn't as spicey as I'd expect for a balti, but it was well presented and tasty. The food was served quickly.

Would strongly reccomend this restaurant to anyone looking to enjoy some excellent food. Service was great as staff are very friendly.

By far the very best Indian restaurant I have ever had the pleasure of using. Had curries in all parts of the uk and various parts of Europe and USA and no-where compares. Keep up the good work!

This place has been running for years. The food is absolutely gorgeous, the staff are lovely. You couldn't ask for a better run family business. I couldn't "big it up" anymore . Visit don't takeaway for the best experience of lovely food and service. X . Don't get me wrong takeaway just as good but you need to meet the owners. I am now 40 and my first visit was when I was 13 .

Ordered a take away on line where you pick delivery or collection. We choose to collect. Food was ready on time. And still piping hot when we got home. Very friendly staff and always welcoming weather you are eating in or taking away.

We go to the Milon as a group of friends, we try every couple of months cause of schedules of folks works, let me tell you we don't have any issues. The staff are great and allow us to split bills if we like and even methods of payment.

One of the best in Staffordshire been going for years now always bang on . Very friendly. Great place. Great staff x

My hubby was 60 and has been coming Milon since the 70s. Staff were very attentive food was super Good we were made to feel relaxed whilst there.

After a arriving as a table of 8 (2 families of 3, and a couple of 2) we were told that it was “company policy” not to split bills between the families.... never heard of this ridiculous rule in my 54 years. We offered to leave if it was an inconvenience to them however the manager swiftly said it would be ok!

I can honestly say this is the worst customer service I've ever experienced. The waiters and manager were extremely rude and insulting. A small complaint was met with an attitude of 'that's not our problem'. I wouldn't recommend this place unless you like your curry with a side order of attitude. If you're after food in the area then I advise to visit next door.

What can I say watery rice, cold, cooked and delivered in 20 minutes complained to the manager and he said I was a lier I put water in the rice lol my advice don't waist your hard earned money

We waited for everything and the staffs attitude was really poor. It’s a shame because the. Food was good. But we’ve all mov d on from 1971

We where on phone to cancel order as food arrived 2 hours later, all we received was an apology due to how busy they where tonight. Food needed to be reheated and was a let down for us and ended up in the bin, waste of money. The best of it we received a text offering us 15% off our next order. I somehow i don't think we will take you up on that offer.

I do not recommend this place to anyone. We ordered at 20:30 and our food did not arrive until 22:15, after being given a delivery time of 21:15. I received a text around 21:30 to say the order was on the way, after waiting a while I rang the takeaway shop to be told 'the driver will be leaving soon', he couldn't provide me with any time estimate, just that the driver would be leaving soon. I at this point asked to cancel my order and just get a refund to which I was told no and again, 'the driver would be leaving soon'. When our food finally did arrive, we had ordered a peshwari naan and a garlic naan and both lacked taste so I just assume that they were plain. The rice was stone cold and hard, completely inedible and it just was not a pleasant meal to eat - the majority ended up in the bin. I was not offered any form of compensation and neither the man on the phone nor the delivery driver even apologised. I can understand waiting a little longer on a Friday night for a delivery, but just make this clear when people are ordering and don't try and over estimate, a two hour wait is pretty ridiculous.

Visited the milon on a Saturday night with a few friends at the end of a reunion. My partner & I ordered 2 completely different curries as always so we can share & get to try other dishes. The service was pleasant & eventually the rogan josh & the panin arrived looking lovely.

We regularly order a takeaway from here. Unfortunately when our latest order was delivered there was a meal missing. We telephoned to be told it would arrive in 10 minutes. After 20 minutes, it had still not arrived. We asked to be refunded for the missing meal, which did eventually arrive, to be told they don't do refunds! I will admit the food was good, but the customer service was terrible!

Attended tonight with some friends serving staff were a little stilted so I asked if we had done something to offend as it was that bad. No was the response, yet the service continued to be miserable. One of my friends was so annoyed he left, we stayed ... Unfortunately, different waiter even worse attitude, food was ok but not brilliant price was very expensive. Anyway been there done that never again.

Todos pedimos nuestra comida, que tardó un poco teniendo en cuenta que éramos los únicos en que tuve que era pollo tikka masala pollo era nada excitante estándar por debajo del estándar. . marido de mi amigo tenía jalfrezi que parecía y estaba asquerosa y mi amigo tenía un curry de gambas con el cuarto de gambas que he visto. . . Nunca nos preguntó si todo estaba bien por cualquiera, así que gritamos que alguien más dijo que no había nada malo con lo que estábamos comiendo y se enojó bastante con nosotros. . terminamos por conseguir 15. 00 bajó de la factura pero no se ir allí de nuevo. . . La comida por debajo de y cara. . Aléjate.

El restaurante indio ha sido en Milon Longton para ya que puedo recordar. Es un restaurante justo en mi puerta que nunca ocurre muy rara vez. Siempre nos parecen ir más lejos. Fuimos para un curry con mi amigo, que era muy agradable. El servicio era excelente, la comida estupenda, muy bien preparado y a un precio razonable. No una selección enorme en el menú como en algunos restaurantes, el menú abarca todo el platos populares, así que había algo para todo el mundo. A veces me dan un poco abrumados por menús extenso y encontrar que es difícil elegir. Sin duda volveré de nuevo.

Comida de navidad no es bueno en absoluto. Sopa de pan servido con Nan.

We ordered a takeaway to the Holiday Inn Express.Although the taking of the order was a little unprofessional in that the person I was talking to was clearly doing several things at once and talking to other people.I wasn't sure if our order arrived whether it would be correct!However, not only did the food arrive only 5 minutes later than advised, it was amazing!The best Indian food we have had. The portion sizes were huge and the nan bread super big!We would not hesitate to order agin and the next time we are in Stoke we will definitely visit and eat in!

Took 2hours to come it was cold phoned up said it was on the way 50 minutes later food was bland and the chips well I've never seen anything like that before never use them again

I went have a meal with my partner we had a 5 course meal each was served quickly and was lovely only let down no1 was in thereAnd it felt abit like the spotlight was on us as it was completely empty which i cant understand because its lovely food.

Group visit after the Gladstone beer festival. Easily accommodated in this busy restaurant. Some great recommendations on draft beer options with cobra for the men and Italian beer for the ladies. Both went down very nicely. The suggested chicken pakora starter was lush as were all the starters. The hotpot was really different with a sweet and spicy flavour and the spinach chicken curry was another favourite. The poppadoms and dips were lush and fresh. The naan bread wasn't greasy and the rice wasn't clumpy. All plates were cleared or doggy bags taken home for a fabulous extra meal. Worth a visit, clean with friendly staff and pleasant decor.

Been for a family meal tonight 21/6/16. Can't fault the place at all. Friendly staff, fantastic food. Best curry I've had in years. It's the only place where the curry doesn't go watery. Recommend it to anyone

My husband and I both had chicken tikka musala, the sauce was nice I felt that there wasn't enough chicken. We also had onion bjhas which weren't the best I've had and saag aloo was nice. My husband thought it was a bit pricey.

The best chicken korma and garlic naan I've tasted in 17 years......... Just amazing. Five stars. Delivery spot on time that I was told and food piping hot. Well worth a go.

Very poor customer service. When I asked if poppadoms were free on the phone I was told yet. On my receipt I get charged £2.95 for 3 poppadoms and 0.90 for each tinny minuscule dip - mango chutney, mint sauce and yoghurt. Only to find they forgot the poppadoms. No apology from restaurant and very rude on the phone. Prawns were tiiiiiny and it many for over £8 a prawn dish. Feel sorry for the delivery driver - seemed like a nice guy. Won't be ordering again.

A dozen or so of us visited 04.03.16 as a send off for one of the group. I only asked 5 people about their food and all said that it was warm at best. Mine was stone cold, I asked the waiter to have it heated up but got no response.

Visited with my partner my mum n dad for my birthday.We had the 5 course 12.99 meal deal and it was well worth it...food portions were whoppin and presented beautifully..really tasty and filling ..we had read the reviews before so were optimistic about coming...but so glad we did.We will certainly be paying a regular visit to the milon from now on ....would defo recommend without a doubt ..Staff were really friendly and didnt stand watching over whilst you eat which is my pet hate!! My dad had the prawn cocktail starter then the tbone steak (obv not 12.99 for this) it was huge and he said it was beautifully cooked .Well woth every penny

Good and attentive service in decent surroundings, and my partner who likes indian food was very impressed with the actual food served, I had a mixed grill which was average at best, the lamb and steak were both overdone and hard to cut, I do like my steak well done but not to this extent. Perhaps somewhere to go if you don't want to have the English dishes on offer.

order was already very late when told 50 minutes wait. it arrived over 80 minutes later. Rang to see where order was met with a unprofessional manor from the owner. poor food when finally arrived, this is common practice recently, chicken was burnt and hard, when rang again was told to "go away" by the owner

What a great way to round off a visit to the 5th Longton Beer Festival. My party of 7 were seated quickly enough to benefit from the £12.99 five courses special offer - although we did only have seconds to spare! very kind of the management we thought!There was a good choice of starters, mains and accompaniments for all of our palettes. The food came piping hot and beautifully presented.The flavours were good and the service was prompt and unobtrusive. Well done Milon, the drinks were pricey but the 5 course offer is well worth a visit for - we'll be back.

We went for a curry here early on a Friday evening. There were only a couple of tables occupied at this early hour. But we were told the resturant does get busy later in the evening. We received a very warm welcome, and the resturant has nice decor.We ordered popadoms, starter and main meal for 4 people. A bottle of wine and a couple of beers.The food was not only very nice but the portions were very generous as well. The bill came to £88.00, which we thought was very reasonable for a meal of this quality and quantity, with drinks.Would certainly go again.

Me and my girlfriend visited the milon on Friday, we entered at first just to look at the menu, when we walked in that day i asked just to see the menu as we might have been going for a meal that night so we sat down and read the menu now the good thing was that he didn't try to persuade us to come back, later that night we returned when entered we then got taken to a table, the waiter then placed a candle on the table, we decided to have a five course meal each which was £12.99 each on offer deal, it was a lot of food but tasted great the only thing that put us off a little bit was that we were the only people in there on a Friday night i have know idea why as we had a fab meal

Decided to go to The Milon for a mates birthday and we were very pleased with all aspects of the meal. Service was quick and friendly and the meal was delicious. Great value for money!

I was passing through Longton, after a road trip with some friends. We were really hungry. We spotted the Milon and thought, 'why not?' We proceeded to enter the restaurant, where we were welcomed with open arms. The service was quick, however was to a really high standard. Yeah course, we went in without any knowledge of the place, but we were glad to find a real Jewel in the Longton area. Great Night all round.

Don't visit here very often as we have a very good curry house around the corner from us. But it is very nice in here & the food is very good, especially the chilli naan!!!!!!!

Nothing else to say, its the best of the best if you want a curry night, Thats why its been doing good business since 1971 (44 years, best and oldest indian reastaraunt in stoke).

The Milon is a classic Indian restaurant very clean and well decorated with subdued lighting and the food is second to none with very polite,pleasant, and helpful staff and you will not break your bank.

I have not eaten here for many years and have heard from friends that this was a great place to eat. The decor is modern and up to date and service was excellent. A very good choice of dishes and the family sized naan breads lived up to their name...family sized.We were a party of eight and all our food came out at the same time. The wait between courses was just right. Plenty of time for us to chat but not so long that we were staring at other peoples plates. A great place for a good curry. wouuld come here again.

We visited on a friday night and found them to be really busy. However we weren't disappointed. The starters were quick, but we did have to wait for our main, due to the sheer amount of customers they had. It was delicious and very filling and I would heartily recommend it if you're fancying a decent curry and are in the longton area.

The Milon restaurant, in a sentence, is an excellent place to stay and eat. This establishment, which presents the customer with a fine ambiance and decor the moment they enter the doorway, offers huge amount of curries, ranging from a mild korma to an eye-watering phal, each of which can be selected with a variety of meats, chicken, beef etc. The staff are friendly, and are on hand to provide any assistance to a customer, such as extra drinks, as well as spices, if things don't quite meet your heat threshold, or yogurt, if you're out of your depth.Delivery of food is prompt, with a 3 course meal having only a medium wait after ordering to receive your starters, and shorter still to get mains and dessert.Eating with friends or family, The Milon is definitely recommended.

The service was decent, pretty friendly waiters. I liked the food, im not a big curry person but I really liked the chicken curry and the rice was very nice and fluffy. I thought the value for money was excellent for such a nice looking establishment and good food. The atmospheres was good, the surroundings were pretty sleek and modern. Im confused at some of the bad reviews of this place, its pretty good compared to A LOT of places in stoke. I do agree with some other reviews that waiting times were quite long sometimes but it didn't bother me so much as it wasn't ridiculous times.

I turned up late for the meal and I got my starter at the same time as everyone else. I found the food to be nice and well presented. Defiantly recommend the chicken curry!

Went for a birthday meal, was prompt service and gorgeous food. Would go again. Just be careful if you order a madras, it's fair hot!

Usually the food is quiet nice, however I have ordered from here tonight and it has taken 1 hr and 55 minutes for a small delivery! When I rang them and asked after an hour and a half after being advised my order would take 40 mins.. I was informed of another 20 minute wait!Food wasn't even hot when arrived! Not happy wont be ordering again!!!

We visit Milon quite often as its only 10 minutes away. The staff are very welcoming, food is brilliant and you can't go wrong with prices! Staff don't rush you to leave like most places, they give you as much time as you need to let courses go down. If you don't eat all of your meal you can take it home in take-away trays too! I would recommend this curry house to any body!

OK, not sure what the picture is but it definitely isn't The Milon! We have been coming here over 20 years, more out of convenience than anything else. Food is generic Indian restaurant but it just lacks something that other restaurants have, service is however, usually good. Out last visit was June for my husbands birthday and we booked in advance, although it wasn't busy when we arrived it soon filled up. We had poppodums, a starter and main course each naan and rice, including wine and beer the bill came to £80 which I thought a little expensive for the quality of food served. If you are used to standard "curry house" meals then you will probably like it but there is better for less money.

3 of us visited the Milon we all had different meals and they all tasted the same and had too much cumin

We booked a table for News Years Eve and although the restaurant was busy the food was first class Although it seems slow at times it is nice to be able to relax and take your time with your meal and not feel rushed. Every thing was well cooked and hot the drinks were fine Will call again

I find I difficult to understand why this restaurant is not full every night. The food and service is great so much attention to detail and a comprehensive menu with a five course inc coffee just £12.00 a head.

I find it hard to believe that this restaurant has had such poor reviews previously. I am addicted to my curry and have used most of the restaurants in the local area at some point, and this is certainly one of the best. The decor is beautiful and the waiters and owners that greet you are very attentive and i feel they often go the extra mile for you. I made it my new years resolution this year to try a restaurant phaal, and having overheard this the owner of the restaurant brought me a phaal sauce with my vindaloo main free of charge. It was hotter than the sun. We are always well looked after and i would recommend this restaurant to anybody!

Lots of attention to detail when preparing tables....I watched a waitor taking great care to set up the table next to us when it became vacant....but the food was just really average, nothing special, certainly not authentic....not bad either, just no different than any other middle-of-the-road Indian restaurant in the area....nice restaurant though, smart and friendly staff...

Staff were like snails... taking food out/ dirty plates in on a trolley in a restaurant that small was laughable. Staff were slow, food took well over 1 hour, despite having a starter that took over 25 minutes!!! curry was bland! Not worth the wait at all. Manager didn't crack a smile.

we go to this restaurant regularly and always leave happy and stuffed full after enyoying a lovely meal. As stated in the previous review it is pretty quiet if you go early but that suits us as its nice and relaxing. We have NEVER had bad service here and always find the waiters very attentive and polite if you speak to them politely too. Plus they are constantly sending the delivery driver out with orders so they must be pretty popular.Can't wait to go again. See you soon Milon,

I last went to this restaurant a few years ago and I wasn't much for it then but after it had a refurb I took my partner to see if it had improved. The only reason for trying it again was that the restaurant is the only 1 within walking distance of my home.1.Friday night at 830 and it was atmosphere sucking as there was only 1 other couple eating yet there were 5 members of staff which makes next point unbelievable2. We couldn't get anyones attention for another drink even though 1 waiter was sitting down reading the paper whilst 2 others stood there with their arms crossed3. My garlic chapatti was swimming in oil so much so I had to take a picture (I will post after this review4. My chicken jalfrezi had the most pitiful amount of chicken I have ever seen. I have had more pieces of chicken in a starter!5. The food was more expensive than a curry I had the previos night at the mumtaz in Leeds. I live in longton for petes sake. Almost £9 for a jalfrezi is scandalous!6. I went & spoke to the person at the bar (only because nobody came to collect our plates) and I said I did not enjoy the meal for the stated above and his reply was 'u still have to pay for it'.I will never go there again. Lesson learnt. I will take the taxi fair on the chin so I can go to a curry house with great food, service and a fair price. The Milon had none of those!!
