You must go and have a Sunday carvery. Tender meat, lots of veg and roast potatoes to die for. Also hubby's favourite, proper onion gravy. Ice cream 🍨 and raspberry sauce throughly recommend for dessert.

Pleasant enough but as several others have mentioned it needs a good clean and spruce up. The people were delightful to me so I’ll thank them for that. It could be a real winner if simply tidied up and cleaned thoroughly.

We were made most unwelcome when we popped in for a drink upon moving here. Said we had just moved to the area so thought we'd give our new local pub a try & ordered a drink each. The response was literally a grunt, no welcome to Toftwood or anything. We never returned and have no desire to after the welcome we received there. Beer was pricey too, only got a few coppers from a tenner for 2 pints and it was 18 months ago.

Unfortunately 1 star is the lowest I can give. Two visits several months apart and both times they have run out of ales. Without doubt the worst boozer in town.

Can't argue with this place it is definitely value for money food wise. The pub is more average local than country pub so people shouldn't expect frills and fine dining. Great place to catch up with friends and family and have a bit of tasty, good size and low priced food.

I’m sure the place is really friendly and welcoming, as long as you are their type. Came for carvery, was not welcoming at all was told to go to bar just bad vibes and horrible smell. Asked nicely for 2 carvery and wasn’t provided or accommodated for so just left

Veggie Burgers from Big Boi's are very tasty, mine was cooked to order and perfection. There are many choices of fresh toppings. Such a brilliant idea to have the burger unit sited in such a spacious area in these tough times! Well done The Millies 👍

Met with a friend for lunch. Lovely venue, lovely food (but rather pricey!) When we came to pay,the owner was rather abrupt! Perhaps we overstayed our welcome?! 🙃

Went for breakfast! What breakfast? No pastries, just bread and fruit. Slow service when it came to replenishing the cooked breakfast buffet and lots of empty dishes and basket. Not impressed and won't be going back.

Stopped here today after finding this on Tripadvisor. We were warmly welcomed and given the option of sitting in the bar or upstairs (very steep stairs) for waitress service. We chose the Ploughman's Lunch, where you have the options of choosing 2 options from: cheddar, Stilton, brie, prawns, beef or piri piri chicken. The plates were full of colourful & tasty food; the beef was plentiful and tender. It took us ages to get through and unfortunately didn't have room gir a dessert. Another customer couldn't manage her lunch, and she was offered the option of having it packaged up and taking it home. We will be back next time we are in the area to try something else off the menu!
