The pub was great. The Italian food was a little salty for my taste unfortunately. Calamari was not great.

Always friendly and helpful bar staff, dog friendly a big plus as not always welcome elsewhere and always a friendly atmosphere would reccomend if visiting or walking in the area

A traditonal type pub, can be a little noisy at times (but locals are a good bunch) can be quite loud!----- I'm a lager man and never had a bad pint of Tennants on the many visits I have (and will have again) in the future.Staff are good and always remember what you drink even if you've not visited for a week or two. An additional 'big' bonus is the Italian restaurant (all part of the pub) at the rear part of the establishment where you can have a 'proper' Italian meal (or other) which is served by really nice staff or, if you're in the bar you can order a meal to take away 😉!! (I think i've made my point 😁!)

Really good village pub. Good service, very competitive prices, well kept beer / lager. Cocktails. 3 sport TVs. Occasional band on Friday nights.

My my girlfriend and I went for two courses, which was £19.99 each, we both went for chicken breasts with peppercorn sauce, chips & seasonal veg. We weren't guaranteed chips as we were notified if chips were available we could have chips , fortunately we got chips , the chicken breast wss ok , the peppercorn sauce was watery, and the vegetables were hard and we both left them untouched on the plate. We had a bottle of wine and ordered a whiskey for myself and a cosmopolitan cocktail for my girlfriend. We were both gobsmacked when the cocktail arrived at our table in a PLASTIC glass . The bill was £71.75 , I wish we didn't bother heading to bar one 0 eight as this was a real letdown, and it was something we were both looking forward to. I, for one, will certainly not be rushing back, and I'm gutted. I wasted my hard earned money on this . I can go a mile up the road and get real quality food and service for the same as my bill at one 0 eight, which is real value for money . I was too upset last night to do a review as I felt I just got mugged.
