The Mezze in Arun

We went there tonight and were totally disappointed with the service and the food. No effort was made to welcome us to the restaurant, and the staff were disinterested. The food arrived and was very bland and unauthentic and looked like it had been bought in, we left most of our meals, and staff never asked if everything was ok with the food .When we got the bill, the member of staff never said a word during the payment process, and we left. Would not recommend this restaurant.

What a fantastic meal here at Mezze. The service is just perfect from the attentive staff. The starters were delicious, I had the hummus and my wife had halloumi, both dishes were super tasty. Then for mains I had the mixed Kebab and my wife had the Imam Bayildi both of these were good sized and delicious. The meat on my main was so tasty and top quality, I ate it slowly to make it last longer, delicious and cooked to perfection, the food and service here is tip top.

We were a very large group and therefore had a large variety from the menu, everybody was very pleased. The Food was excellent, service was timely and polite. There was parking nearby (council at a cost). I would recommend Mezze to anybody

Great place for dinner. Tasty food, same you can find in Turkey but without leaving England. Meat prepared at highest standards. Highly recommended for anyone who likes Mediterranean food.

This place can not be faulted for anything! The service was incredible, food was insane! Honestly the best restaurant in Bognor Regis by far.

I only popped in for a quick drink and a hello with friends who were having an evening out in the restaurant, but went home £30 lighter! I had a starter, three very small (even though tasty) calamaris rings, two pints of lager and a portion of baklava to take home. My friends main meals whilst tasty, (one let me have some of her lamb kebab), at £17.50 for a main meal, seems sadly the price of any food in a non-chain place these days. The service was excellent and the staff worked really hard to make sure everyone was pleased. They are a credit to the restaurant. I rarely eat out due to the prices these days. It was tasty food, but not in my budget range. (The money I did spend was a one off treat.)

Stopped here for lunch. The food was very lovely and the service was quick and friendly. Great range of cocktails, too. Most of the dishes were a good size, but the halloumi starter was tiny.

Lunch menu amazing. Lots of choice, big portions. Delicious and very good value for money. Staff lovely and can’t wait to return.

Fantastic food and friendly service. We got the two people sharing meal between 3 and it was smoke as the portions were big Friendly staff as well makes this a winner I will definitely be coming back here It got busy so advise booking or getting there early

Beautiful restaurant, deorated for Christmas, amazing delicious food and outstanding service. This restaurant is so child friendly and the most sophisticated cocktail menu. Perfect 🥰

We came here as a large group of families and children. We were wearing easily within the main area of the restaurant - which was appreciated. The food is of standard fare that you would expect from a Turkish sit in restaurant, and grill restaurant. The food came out quickly, and amends and substitutions were easily catered for. The kebabs are good, and the starters are average but still a good menu of items on offer. It is a Bognor Regis gem that cuts through the seaside repetition of fish and chips and fried foods. If you are local or staying in the area it is worth a visit. Would I go out of my way to travel to this restaurant, probably not but I would return again if in area!

We chose this as we were staying in Bognor for just the one night. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the staff welcoming. The owners of the B&B that we were staying in said that it had been re-done recently. The food was great with plenty of choice. We shared a Cold Mezze starter which was very generous and had chicken shish and adana as our mains. The quality of the food was great and we were so full that desserts were a no no. The wine list is good and we had a lovely bottle of rose. Would definitely recommend.

Now we’ve come here many times before, and it’s always been good. However the last two times have really gone down hill. It seems that the portion sizes are smaller and the service is SO SLOW. The food was tasty but due to slow service this put a downer on the evening. I didn’t order pudding due to how slow it was, and the restaurant wasn’t even busy. Hope it was a one off and will improve as we love coming here.

This is the best Turkish i have ever eaten. The lamb is to die for. Pity its 260 miles away. Please open a restaurant in Manchester guys !!!.

We were on holiday, my parents and niece had booked on a Saturday night. We arrived at 1800 only to find out I had booked for one person only!! My error, blame it on rubbish WiFi not there booking site! They went out of there way to squeeze us in…as they were very busy, and deserve to be. Meal was amazing, great service and portions very generous so much so we couldn’t eat it all.so they packed it up for us to take home. Highly recommend! Loved the complimentary pitta and dip at start…Turkish red wine very tasty! Great atmosphere, great food, great restaurant

I can't rate the food because I didn't even have the chance to try it even though I really wanted it. I made a reservation at this restaurant three days in advance and to my surprise when I arrived on time I had to wait outside for 15 minutes for a table which makes my reservation completely useless. After the wait, they finally call us in and they finally seat us. 20 minutes passed and at no point were menus, cutlery or anything brought to the table to the point where I had to ask for them myself. Finally, after a wait of more than half an hour from the initial time of my reservation, my girlfriend and I were ready to order and unfortunately no one ever came to our table to take our order, so we had no other option but to get up and leave. All of this occurred while other tables that arrived after us were being seated, given menus, served with wine and going for a second round of drinks while we had to order our own menus. It is worth mentioning that it was my partner's birthday and being the parents of a baby was the only time we could afford to leave our baby with someone for no more than 2 hours to be able to have dinner as a couple since almost a year ago which we didn't, in other words, it was quite a special dinner and one we really wanted to have, which was why I booked in advance. I live 5 minutes walk from the restaurant and I am very sorry that we will be ignored in such a way, so I will not recommend it to anyone in the area. Terrible service and good looking food although I can't rate it 100% as we weren't given the chance.

Staff very good and comfortable seating. We had the mixed cold starter and a grilled Hallumi, good sized portions and very tasty. One main course was the Kleftiko Lamb which was very large, well cooked and extremely tasty. However the Lamb Kebab and Mixed Kebabs were a disappointment, good sized portions but the meat was hard to cut and eat, left most of it on the plates.

Ordered the hot and cold mixed starters as a family pre-Christmas treat. Everything was delicious as usual. This combination works well for our family - something for everyone!

Called here on Friday early evening, very very average and that is being kind. The waitress really didn't know the menu as what we ordered we didn't get, waiters no service skills what so ever. Will not return, ever.

Food was delicious and the staff were friendly. We dined outside in the Arcade as we didn’t want our tinies disturbing other guests.

This place used to be our absolute favourite restaurant but has changed hands. The portions have shrunk and do not fill rumbling tums. The Turkish bread served with the main is now a tortilla wrap, my salad was just iceberg lettuce with cucumber and tomato, although my husband had grated carrot and red cabbage in his. Cheap cheap food with a ridiculously high price tag. No atmosphere and slow service. Complained and waiter apologised, but this was our last visit

I enjoyed a substantial vegetarian supper for £18 without drinks. Falafel were crisp and tasty but otherwise everything seemed a little bland, and I'd call it a safe option rather than an exciting one.

Such a shame that when we came on a Wednesday night the place was full of screaming kids and loud Middle Eastern music. Not much the restaurant could have done about the kids but please no more music. The dishes were neatly presented and cooked to order. The starters were lovely and the mezze for 2 plentiful (roughly £40 for both) and tasty. As far as Mediterranean food, this restaurant will be probably the best locally. Worth a visit.

This is a beautifully decorated restaurant in the centre of town. We had the hot mezze mix plus hummus and stuffed vine leaves for three people. Everything was delicious and we didn't really need any more but the choices were too tempting to ignore. I then had lamb shish - absolutely gorgeous. The friendly, hard working waiter was always on hand when needed. Would definitely recommend and would love to return.

True authentic Turkish mezze, the staff very friendly and the food is delicious :-) definitely worth checking out if you are craving Turkish food

Vegetarians need to bring a packed lunch! only 2 vegetarian options on the mains menu. I had the misfortune of choosing the Vegetable Kebab, it was vile! Vegs were bitter and drowning in oil. My refusal to pay was accepted thankfully. They really need to rethink the value and quality they are bringing to their customers, as it's really not great!

Newly changed hands. The food was very tasty but I don't know how they are getting away with charging so much money for such small portions, terrible value for money, an absolute RIP off. Will not be going back.

We did our research,then found this restaurant in town.We we’re on holiday for a few days.Amazing food have to say.we had the big sharing platter,more than enough for us.Also hummus was delicious.All in all a great night and great service too.Well done you guys.

We’ve always wanted to visit here on our trips to Bognor Regis and we are glad we finally have. We had the mixed mezze platter which was delicious. The service was excellent, quick and efficient. The drinks menu is extensive which a variety of cocktails. The restaurant is decorated nicely with lovely Turkish lights which added to the ambience.

We have just enjoyed a family birthday meal here. Good service, friendly staff and good food. We have eaten here before and always had a good time with nice food.

This place is absolutely terrible went there with my family after visiting the beach and had a terrible time. First of all we had to wait around 15 minutes for the waiter to come up to us even tho it was completely empty. second of all the food was heavily over price for example they charged us £5 just for humous to go with the dipping bread. Also after they gave us the food they gave us no plates we had to literally ask for plates and we had to wait around 5mins just for them to bring the plates to us by the time that came ate food was practically cold.They even charged us £9 for 4 cokes.it was just bottled coke poured into the cups altogether the amount we got wasn't even up to one 2litre bottle and the charged us 9 pound. Overall don't go here it messed up are whole day I literally felt violated while walking out and was literally laughing at how little the portion sizes were for the price. Rip off. Little portions for the amount. Bad customer service.

Nice restaurant that does very nice food but don't bother booking you are wasting your time.I booked a table at this restaurant for our Wedding Anniversary, we have eaten there before and the food is very good.Unfortunately the owner had overbooked, we arrived to find the restaurant was very full, with people also waiting at the bar.When the person running the restaurant had time to speak to us, I told him we had a reservation, he checked his appointment book left open on the bar. Then made a point of walking around the restaurant, (the couple at the bar said they also had made a reservation for the same time and they thought he had overbooked) the manager/owner then asked us if we would like a table outside, we declined. He asked us what we wanted to drink, I declined, I asked how long the wait was, he said it didn't look like anyone was getting ready to leave, so I said but we made a reservation which you accepted, he said that the people in the restaurant had over stayed their booking and he could not tell them to leave. Which would have been fair enough if the people in there were not waiting for food or eating starters.So to wrap it up it is a nice restaurant that does very nice food but don't bother booking you are wasting your time.

We went to the Mezze for an evening meal while staying in the Bognor Regis area. Service was very polite and friendly without being over-the-top. Atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable, though Covid protocols were all reassuringly adhered to. Complimentary flatbreads and dips were a nice start. The rest of the food was well-cooked and well-presented, served in a timely manner. Three courses each for the two adults and a shared bottle of (very pleasant) wine, two courses each for the children + soft drinks all came to just over £90 which I was by no means unhappy to pay given how much we enjoyed the experience. Would certainly return if we visit the area again in future.

Wow. Staying at butlins and wanted a meal out. Amazing, fresh, authentic food. Was given bread and dips before ordering, had the hot mixed mezze starter between 4 of us which was brilliant and for mains had a mixture of mixed kebabs, house specials and children's chicken shish meals. My toddler is gluten intolerant and they accommodated amazingly so was very impressed that he had a meal that was prepared and cooked separately without any issues. The portions were big and filling and to end we shared a baklava, so good! Was thoroughly satisfied and would easily recommend to anyone, great value for money when looking for fresh quality food.

Found this nice little Turkish restaurant on Saturday afternoon, tucked away down a small walk thru arcade. What a great find. We saw that it was quite busy and as we were looking for somewhere for our first evening meal while visiting bognor regis, we decided to book a table for that evening. We were glad we did as when we returned later, it was very busy. We were greeted with a very warm welcome by the staff and quickly shown to our table. We were very soon attended to with menus and drinks.We were spoilt for choice when trying to select one dish each from the menu but I think whatever we chose we wouldn't have been disappointed. It was all very enjoyable and very tasty and at a reasonable price.Will definitely be visiting here again before we travel back up north. Thanks guys!!! See you soon.

A nice, cosy Turkish restaurant with great food. It just didn’t seem as welcoming as it could have been. No-one asked us once how the food was, we weren’t offered the desert menu after our mains and when we left the manager wasn’t around, so the waitresses were happily chatting in the corner looking at their mobile phones and didn’t acknowledge us leaving at all. Perhaps it was because it wasn’t very busy they felt they could socialise between themselves but it was disappointing.It may have been a one off and this score could so easily have been a five, so we will go back there again.

As a family we had a great time. Staff was amazing and kept making sure we are ok. Food was amazing never been somewhere so nice. The restaurant was a beautiful atmosphere. We will defo come back again.

We visited today and had high expectations as the place was busy, that soon because apparent that it’s only because of the help out to eat out scheme! We were seated quickly and the drinks were ordered and came within a good timescale, we also got some bread and some dips but after that it all went wrong!We basically sat for over 30 minutes without any attention, all our drinks were finished, and then finally when our food arrived our mains came before our starters! My sons meal didn’t come out at the same time, and he got it half way through us eating our mains and then our “starters” arrived! My meal was ok, my partners was cold, no apology as such for the starters not coming out as a starter, just told they were busy! The young girls were seen numerous times walking round with plates full of food not knowing where they were going and then returning them back to the kitchen area.The manager in the black suit came across as rude, not just once but numerous times. The other manager was quite nice. The bill at the end was also messed up and we were overcharged by almost £5 but couldn’t even be bothered to query as we wanted to get out!

First visit to Bognor and we decided to escape the high winds and find somewhere for lunch. We stumbled across Mezze - what a find: warm soft flatbread to start, beautifully cooked authentic food and friendly service. Our 2 children enjoyed everything! We sat in the arcade outside as inside was full...clearly a popular place. Super!

After feedback from family and friends we decided to make a visit. We came on a weekday evening, despite being very busy we were quickly seated and had our order taken. The waiter recommended the special meal for two and we were not dissapointed, it was very plentiful and incredibly tasty. The service was really attentive and friendly. Would definitely recommend to others and will be returning soon.

We had a lovely meal with friends, very relaxed and thoroughly enjoyed by all. It was our first visit, we had been wanting to try The Mezze for some time and we are so glad we did.Some reviewers have complained about the service but perhaps they are not used to the term Turkish time, there is an unrushed atmosphere, that some people can not get used to. In Turkey they do not have hurried cattle stations, food is to be enjoyed whilst talking and you never feel as you are pushed out of the door to get the next bums on seats. This can be a challenge to people in a hurry, at lunch or just used to a faster pace of life.We will definitely visit again and probably on many occasions, both mine and my wife's new favourite place to eat and our friends who have never been to a Turkish restaurant were raving about it and they can not wait to go back.Thank you and well done to everyone at The Mezze.

We have been meaning to try the Mezze for a while, and finally got there for lunch this week. Had a great meal, and being vegetarian we sometimes don't have a lot of choice but there was plenty to try here. The staff were attentive and friendly, and we will definitely be going back there sooner rather than later.

Last night was one of the warmest I can remember in England, so we ate outside in the arcade.We chose to eat latish but the staff were still running around and always with a smile. We didn't have to wait too long for anything and the place was really busy! As it was hot inside the restaurant they were bringing out more chairs and tables for customers to join us outside in the arcade! The food was wonderful, fresh and plentiful.Because of using contact less card payment, we didn't think to add a tip and then realised we didn't have any cash to leave one either ( don't seem to use cash anymore since Covid) So huge apologies from us both, we really enjoyed our evening with you all

First visit back after lockdown. I love this restaurant. The staff are attentive & efficient. The Lamb shish is delicious & melts in your mouth! It’s always busy..which is a good sign! But no matter how busy the management always make time to stop & have a chat. It’s my favourite restaurant in Bognor by far & if you haven’t visited it yet..you definitely should!

I visited the Mezze this weekend with my family. The staff were very accommodating and welcoming. The service was excellent, quick and had great attention to every detail making sure we had everything we needed. The waiter helped us with our menu choices, he was very knowledgeable, the food was delightful. It was lovely to be able to see the food being cooked in the kitchen to, with smiling staff. GREAT food at a great price. We will definitely be back very soon. Highly recommended. They were very busy so I would recommend booking to save disappointment during the school holidays.

Tried this place for dinner during a visit to Bognor. Wish I hadn’t. I’m now up at 1am with a very upset tummy. I contemplated walking out of the place when I had been sat at my table for nearly 20 minutes before being asked about a drink or given a menu. It was busy but they should have been able to cope. I witnessed several orders being messed up and people not getting booked tables when they arrived. The service / waitresses seemed very disorganised and chaotic.

The Mezze Turkish Restaurant.When we were last in Bognor the virus was just kicking off and restaurants were starting to close down. We phoned The Mezze and checked that the restaurant was open. On being told yes, we booked for the next evening. However, the next morning we received a text telling us that the restaurant had indeed closed that morning. So, on this, our latest sojourn to Bognor we phoned and booked again. The Mezze restaurant is in a small pedestrian precinct which its self is just across the road from the town’s small theatre. The restaurant is quite large and the floor plan is basically square with a bar at the far end.On the left as you go in is a large grill area for cooking the barbecued items. The walls are “Turkish” red and the ceiling is high. The floor, tables and chairs are plain polished wood. At floor level all is very plain. However, the walls are covered in paintings of Turkish scenes, various Kilims and prayer mats. From the high ceiling hangs a plethora of wires supporting light bulbs. Each of these light fittings is adorned with a genuine Turkish glass shade, each in a myriad of colours. This gives the whole room a warm, bright, welcoming, “Turkish” feel.We introduced ourselves to a waiter and were seated at a table of our choice.Drinks and food menus were offered and we sat comfortably and decided what to eat and drink.Jean, as usual, asked for a tonic and for me it was a no-brainier. A bottle of Efes please.There were two other tables of two guests and as we sat and sipped our drinks a further four people arrived. Not too bad for early on a Thursday evening.Jean did not want a starter so I ordered the Sucuk, spicy sausage. This arrived on a plate with a large portion of mixed salad. The sausage had been cut into four lengthwise and grilled. It was juicy and succulent with just the right amount of spice. A basket of lovely, thin, grilled Turkish bread was placed alongside of two small bowls. One containing a garlic mayonnaise and the other the usual spicy tomato dip. Absolutely yummy.Jean had decided to have a break from meat and so ordered the Imam Beyaldi. For me it was my all-time favourite, lamb chops. We were given the choice of rice or chips and both asked for rice.When the dishes arrived, they looked a picture. In front of Jean was placed a large Oval ceramic dish. This contained a very big aubergine. This had been split lengthwise and hollowed out. The resulting cubes of vegetable sautéed with onion, tomato and spices before being stuffed back into the shell. It was topped with more tomato sauce and a large handful of cheese. The whole had been baked. On the side was a mixed salad and a mountain of rice.On my plate was a similar salad and mound of rice. Plus, four, large, thick chops. These had been spiced and grilled to perfection.As they were rather large, I was wondering how tender they would be. I had no need to worry as they had been cooked slightly pink inside, the way I like them, and they were like eating a good fillet steak. In fact, I thought of them as “fillets on a stick”! Wonderful.I had a second Efes but we were far too full for a desert.The service had been, as you would expect, excellent.If you like Turkish food and are ever in Bognor, seek out this gem of a restaurant.At a total of £44.50 we thought this very good value for money.Peter & Jean. :o)

It is nice to go to a restaurant that advertises it is Turkey's and sticks to it, not adding lots of food from other countries. Restaurant and staff nice and friendly, but can be a bit cold if you get put by the door. All the food is fresh and made on site, good for them.

Got a delivery from here during lockdown . What can I say other than stunning food across the board. Kebabs spot on burgers spot on. Fully stuffed and vert satisfied indeed. Will use this place all the time. Keep up the good food.

Went for a meal for sons birthday after a very long wait I pulled a waiter and said can we have some drinks then he said to me order your meals now I said not got a drink yet but they insisted we order our meal at the same time so would not go again it was one big muddle nobody knew what they were doing

Light, bright and airy interior with excellent service from the staff if you want a grazing lunch then this is the place for you. Warm and friendly greeting on entering with that all important smile, well laid out restaurant with excellent decoration and spotlessly clean, food was well presented, tasty and great value.

Spontaneously went there for a quick lunch - what a surprise, food was amazing, super hot and delicious. Great value for money. Definitely worth a visit if you’re nearby.

Two couples, staying at Butlin’s but fancied eating out on a Sunday lunchtime, happy to have found this great place. Staff were excellent, food brilliant. Cooked fresh and the bread was amazing. Well worth a visit if you’re in Bognor

Tracey and I have travelled extensively in the med and the food here rivalled that. . Simple fare, the freshest of ingredients. Prepared in front of you and cooked to perfection on a charcoal grill. Absolutely excellent in every way. But it is the attention to detail in for example the rice with peas and little explosions of different flavours of mint etc. Unleavened bread superb. Home made garlic and chili dips phenomenal. Cacik stunning. Sucuk fantastic. Tracey had a chicken shish for main and I had a mixed shish really well done. Friendly pleasant table staff. Well run tight ship. Reasonably priced. Will eat there again soon.These guys get it right really know how to cook. Superb.

Popped in on the off chance, early on a cold Tuesday evening in January. Only one other couple when we arrived but it quickly filled up so probably best to book if you want 7pm onwards. We ordered a Mezze Special for two and barely finished our crackers and dip before it arrived. We had Lamb Chops, Lamb Shish, Lamb Ribs, Chicken Wings and Adana Kofte, accompanied by Rice, Salad and Bread. More than enough for the two of us. The service and the food were excellent. The food is cooked by the full length front window so, great to watch from inside or outside.

After 2 days eating badly at Butlins a good meal was badly needed and this find was just what we was looking for. High end Turkish cuisine with great service.

I came here with my extended family for dinner and had a really nice time averaging 35 pounds a head including quite a lot of alcohol.

We went to this restaurant when visiting my bfs Mum and nearly went into Chichester but last minute thought we should go out locally instead. My bf and I have eaten at quite a few Turkish restaurants but after seeing all the positive reviews we thought this is definitely one we have to try, and we are very glad we did, as it is 100% the best Turkish restaurant we have been to! We couldn’t fault the food or the service. It is great to be able to see into the kitchen and watch your food be cooked, as well as taste really good quality food, and all served with a passion. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to go back!

Decided to eat here instead of the hotel and it was the right choice. We had The Meze sharing platter which came with a salad. Fresh salad ingredients and really juicy meat. Perfect.

Just returned from the Mezze restaurant in Bognor Regis and would highly recommend.

We were a group of 4 staying at Butlins and passed this restaurant and decided to give it a try. The food was really good and big portion sizes, the prices were reasonable and we received excellent service. Will definitely return when we are next staying at Butlins

Found it on the back of Trip Advisor and we weren't disappointed. Empty when we arrived which was a concern but within 20mins regulars and walk ins had started filling up the place. Mixed share ordered and I baulked at the size of the portion when it arrived(in good time).

Me and Mates we been to the mezze for the first time, I heard many good things about this place so we decided to try it out on Saturday. I can’t explain with the worlds how beautifully meat was cooked . We will definitely be back highly recommended

Me and my boyfriend had a lovely meal at mezze in bognor, we had the mezze special and the meat was so fresh and tasted amazing, we loved watching our food cooked in open kitchen, also lovely turkish decoration on walls and lights the staff was so friendly as well, we will definitely be back soon!!

Having been told how wonderful this place was we decided to give it a try on a Monday lunch time.

Originally came here a year ago when it first opened and it was ok, a year later and the change is amazing. Food is delicious and the service comes with a smile and a dash of Turkish charm. I’d totally recommend this to anyone.

I enjoy coming to this restaurant. Nothing is too much trouble for the waiting staff. A lovely place to eat and enjoy the company of friends.

Fabulous food. Delicious starters and bread to die for. Generous portions of a whole variety of meats, all beautifully cooked on an authentic barbecue. This is the best food I’ve had outside of Turkey. Easily the best restaurant in Bognor and surrounding area. Even Brighton and London can’t compete. Can’t wait for the next visit.
