The Meze in Bexley

Nice food - but nothing special. Tables are so squeezed in the waitress could not get to our table easily to deliver food or drink or to take plates away. We we’re eating our starters and our mains came. It was very rushed and not relaxed at all. Asked for coffee at the end of the meal and was told they had none. It was like they wanted us out and it was only about 10pm. Found it hard to talk as the music was so loud - but maybe I’m older than the usual clientele. Been before but in the week, wouldn’t rush back at the weekend. 12.5% service charge added too!

Having visited twice with work colleagues in the last two weeks, I have to say that everyone was genuinely impressed and enjoyed the food here on both occasions. Rarely have I had so many positive comments from a large group about an evening dinner venue. The staff and kitchen also did very well with a group of 18 which is always a difficult task trying to serve everyone their food at the same time. Great job!

Most awful service ordered a takeaway for my boyfriend and calling up to check an issue with our delivery the girl on the phone was so rude and had zero customer service skills. Won’t be ordering a takeaway from there again. Once finally receiving the takeaway, the portion was tiny - however, when I’ve ordered the same thing in the restaurant before it has been good. Overall really disappointed.

Where do I start? Cocktails were bang on, (absolutely loved the pornstar as had real passion fruit in it) all the food was delicious with great presentation, portions were more than adequate, I had the red Velvet prawns oh wow, my personal recommendation for the sun is the lamb Shish, OMG the lamb was so tender and melted in my mouth, service was great, cannot comment on the deserts as we were so full up we didn’t get that far, highly recommended

Reading reviews below had to comment - Went here for my birthday and have been many times previously, hence why we chose this venue for my bday. Firstly staff all very friendly, food amazing no one had a bad meal, atmosphere amazing, DJ played some tunes, Manager on point, never once been rude always greets us as we walk in, if you were treated 'badly' probably because your actions to his staff reflected his behaviour to you. In all, lovely place, toilets are clean, food good, service good - You cannot go wrong.

Terrible place crap service got up twice to get served over priced for the food they serve Although they had a shisha menu with several flavours only had 2 available again over priced and couldn’t even get a coal change I had to go find someone to request one by the time someone came the shisha was out! Better places to go for Turkish than here! Lazy staff toilets very dirty too!

Food is good but the service is terrible. If you raise an issue the owner will take it personally and lose his mind. Toilets right by the kitchen. Toilets are vile. Rude rude manager who will fight with you. Dangerous place.

Food is extremely vile. It only looks nice to photograph but not to taste. Cocktails are ok but not worth the price. Service is very slow, staff are rude and stole a bag and phone from the birthday girl whilst we were being attacked by another party and therefore we were distracted. Find my iPhone showed the phone was still in the venue after all guest left but staff denied this. Staff informed the bag had been recovered over the phone but when we went to pick up the bag we were informed the bag was not found. So why was find my iPhone showing the phone is in the venue? They refused to give access to cctv. Honestly we travelled from far and the food was not worth the hustle at all, it’s disgusting to say the least. I am unsure the people providing these positive reviews because it’s honestly not a true reflection. I have realised that the manager comments on all negative reviews with a defence. Sort out the issues, get a better chief. Take the feedback on board and do something about it. Don’t let the pictures deceive you!

We went for my friends birthday! We booked the wrong date by accident, but the staff and owner was so helpful and squeezed us in on a busy night the food and cocktails was a 10 out of 10 we honestly had such a fantastic night and I couldn’t recommend it enough!

I came here for my birthday celebrations. The staff were completely rude and lacked customer service! I ordered a pornstar martini and was given a white wine shot instead of Prosecco, when questioned I was told that it was Prosecco but had been poured out an hour ago why is was flat! This makes absolutely no sense not to mention the health and safety of leaving food & drink out for an hour. My party ordered the pan fried garlic prawns which came over cooked, were not cleaned and did not taste pan fried or of garlic! There were many errors of the night which ultimately ruined my birthday meal but one could not help that underlining racism played a part. The staff were so rude and dismissive from the start. I was so excited about celebrating my birthday here which was a huge disappointment, if I could go back I would have chosen to celebrate at Cocos! I will not be returning again that’s for sure!

Nice looking restaurant, however the food I ordered (chicken thighs) were not cooked and still pink! The waitress took the food and bought it back, still uncooked! When paying the bill no one asked if the meal was ok, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant from my experience and opinion.

Another restaurant that focuses on social media rather than getting things right. The food is ok. Ok at best. Don’t order the chips, they are deep fried…then deep fried again, then again and again. Either that or the chef puts them in a fryer, goes on holiday, returns from holiday, then takes the fries out the fryer. If you order falafel, there’s a chance you’ll get small sausages on a bread and hummus bed. What they do have going for them outside of providing food which IS their USP, is they have a cocktail served in a porcelain mug shaped like a boot!….not a massively redeeming attribute when a vegetarian is served 3 little meat sausages, in lieu of falafel. The restaurant did say they would call us back for a refund…which is yet to happen. I assume…like the chef…the refunder has booked a jolly. X P.S. it’s £1 for roughly 15ml of chilli sauce…totally fine if you’re a borrower but if you are of normal human size, you will feel short changed, bordering on robbed. Say something positive I hear you scream….I’d be more than happy to order from here again, if covid ravages my sense of taste.

I booked this restaurant for a works colleagues 18th birthday for 25 of us For the Martin and Prosecco Drunch The food was delicious and the drinks were coming out good which was mostly Prosecco only 22 turned up when the bill came out they charged us for 22 Martinis Drunch because some of the girls mixed them as they were finding the martini’s too sweet so most people went on to have the Prosecco but what I found was when the bill arrived it was over £ 1000.00 for 22 people was extortionate as they charge 12.5% service charge which worked over 100.00 service charge It’s a lovely place don’t get me wrong we was on the terrace which was closed and made it very hot with no air conditioning which is why I booked it thinking the roof top would be open on a hot June day but I wouldn’t recommend this place for a large number of people because they rip you off with the service charge which I wished I had refused to pay

Visited The M Kitchen with a group of friends. Cannot recommend this place enough! The food was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Tried some signature cocktails, again, presented brilliantly! The music was great and the DJ was more than happy to play requests. We tried the shisha too, which new to us, but a lot of fun. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, especially our server, Niko. He was very attentive - almost like he had a 6th sense that we were about to call him over! He couldn’t be any more helpful and he helped make our night one of the best ever! We will definitely be back and we’ll be asking for Niko!

Had a wonderful evening in the terrace area. Atmosphere was chilled, food was really enjoyable and presented with care and attention to detail. We had a go at Blueberry Shisha,complete novices, but it definately added a special touch to the evening. The cocktails were really impressive and we drank a fair bit because they were pretty delicious hahaha. Our server was Niko. What can I say? Adored him. Was really attentive and fun and made sure we had a great night. All staff were in fact,very friendly. The DJ was a nice touch and played some good tunes. There was no pressure to leave early so we just stayed,relaxed and laughed all night until we sadly had to go home!! I cant recommend M Kitchen (as its now called) enough. Thank you to Niko and all the hard working staff. We appreciate you!

My partner and I had a lovely date here for their Saturday Martini Drunch (sometimes I get paranoid that the drinks/food will be rushed or not as good as dining a la carte but here is was perfect!)Great value for money as the food portions were big and the cocktails were delicious, cannot fault the service and bringing my friends here in a few weeks :D

They have updated the decor in the resturant from our previous visit. This is a great improvement. From the start we were welcomed by friendly staff, who were attentive but not obtrusive. The food was excellent and very good value for money. Thanks very much for a lovely evening

We ordered from this poor excuse of a restaurant for the first time today. We spent a lot of money. The food arrived. Wow! So gutted. It was measly. I rang the restaurant to let them know. Wow! How rude the gentleman was. Not bothered at all. Aggressive. Unhelpful. Vile. AVOID THIS AT ALL COSTS ( and it costs a lot!)

Extremely bad service! I called twice to make a booking and the lady did not tell me we need to be wearing masks till we get to the table. We were three people and only I did not have a mask. The doorman was extremely rude, it turned out he could give us a mask or we could just go to the store nearby and buy one. Instead the man started shouting at us that the rules were such, no mask no entry, he started offending my friends calling them a bunch of idiots, which is absolutely unacceptable. I like the food there, but the customer service was extremely appalling. In the current situation, you can spend your money somewhere where you could be treated well.

We booked a table for today, but we were very disappointed with the aggressive black man at the door who claimed to be a security guard. Unfortunately, when you have to communicate with people of low intellectual level, speaking in a high tone for no reason made us look for another restaurant, because it is a pity to spend your money in such a place after you are greeted with disrespect from the door. I booked a table here for 6 people to celebrate my sisters birthday. The booking process was amazing and the woman who I spoke to on the phone couldn’t of been more accommodating. When entering the restaurant my initial thoughts thought it looked modern and trendy. We was shown to our table and drinks ordered quickly. The drink selection for the bottomless brunch is quite varied and the pornstar martinis come with a Prosecco shot. You have to finish the drink you already have before you are allowed to order another round which was quite annoying. The first 45 mins we was being checked on every 5 mins or so and had a constant flow but the last 45 minutes we was completely forgotten about. We went to the bar to find out what was going on and simply got the reply back “everyone is waiting”. Now I’m not stupid, I can appreciate it was at maximum capacity but maybe for future reference don’t book so many people if your staff can’t accommodate. Perhaps a staff member per table for the busier times? People who are going to a bottomless brunch want to get their money’s worth. The food was AMAZING. The chicken was so moist and tender, halloumi and honey so tasty and the hummus- I was eating it by the spoonful! I will definitely be returning but perhaps on a less busy day.

A lovely restaurant for a meal with friends, not a great experience with my Dad who is 74. Loud music meant he could not hear much. Service was fantastic, very friendly and polite staff. A good selection on the menu. Food was well prepared and tasted great. Garlic and chilli sauce was also great. Value for money, higher prices than what I would have expected. £20 per head with no alcohol. Though would be a good evening out with friends.

At a time when money isn’t to be wasted we treated ourselves to a platter for 4 !!! We were bitterly disappointed! 1 skewer of eachChicken , lamb shish and 1 lamb kofte and 1 chicken kofte 2 lamb chops . NOT a sharing platter for 4 !!! We called ahead of our order and asked for extra bread as our children like bread and was told oh it comes with 4 or 5 breads we got 2 !!! And as you can see the salad wasnt for enough for my 8 year old . We paid £3.50 for that portion of chips !! They were cold and wet and my son ate a few and we binned the rest . We also paid for a small pot of chilli which surely should have come with the meal .I was so shocked at the state of this meal I rang up and complained and got no apology Infact I had to say I haven’t rung up for an argument !!!! They were trying to tell me they haven’t changed their portion sizes !!!!! Utter waste of my extremely hard earned money to be told when you next come in ask for me and I will make sure you are looks after !!!! All I wanted was a meal which was worth £65 !!!

Couldn't cope with a large party. Went there for a friends party and service and food wasn't good enough. Food missing from orders. Wasn't being listened to. Service slap dash.

Brought the Mrs here for a date night last year and she immediately wanted to book her birthday here. Today was the day and oh boy they did not disappoint us. The food once again was fantastic and the team were all incredibly professional, and once again Nikola gave us an amazing service and made sure we had everything we wanted.Thank you Meze team for giving the Mrs a perfect finale to the day. We will be back.

We booked a table for 9:30, arrived on time and we waited to be seated, tick tock to 10:15pm - we were seated and we ordered, they did not have any Doner Kebabs left (yep a Turkish restaurant minus the kebabs smh) we ordered something else but were surprised that the Doner had finished!. Starters arrived and we tucked in, before we had finished, the waitress was trying to find space on the table for the mains. When we asked where our fries were that we had ordered, we were told 'the kitchen is closed! - never in all my years have I eaten at a restaurant and been told the kitchen is closed, 2 of our group went without their fries. Not the end of the world but the evening felt like they could not wait to get rid of their customers. Just glad the company I was with was nice and understanding - not ideal at all. Perhaps if we had been seated on time it would not of been an olympic race for us to finish our meal. Avoid at all costs.

We booked a table on Friday night the food was amazing we had a selection of cold and hot starters and a massive meat platter for 4 of us Service was excellent.I definitely recommend that!!!!

Food is bad..so expensive, very rude host, didnt even get a cup of water until we finish our food only when I asked the waiter for the 3rd time. Ambience good at the back but too crowded in the front and honestly not worth it for the money we spent

I cannot believe the number of stars Meze bexleyheath has got. Very expensive (£14) for 4 peices of standard chicken shish. They gave a tortilla wrap to start...which frankly was like it was brought from the nearby off-licence.No dips or anything to go with it. Honesrly... if you want good quality food for a lower price and better service, go to Istanbul just opposite the asda. The only good point is it looks decent.

Visited the meze on the 29th December 2019. If your idea of a good night is an overpriced kebab ( 5 pieces of chicken and a plate of salad) then definitely visit this establishment. The service is just about ok, until you have something negative to say about the food. The beer is even more of a rip off!

Food delicious and drinks really nice, had outside seating which is under cover but it was cold and some customers were smoking gongs which i didn't particularly like whilst eating.

A bit quiet with just me and my Mum although someone had come in later. Lovely bunches of hay in the middle of the restaurant gave a sense of well being. The beef kebabs were humongous proportions so was the fish with a generous amount of salad which was healthy. All halal too as this was a Turkish place. Critically acclaimed and it lived up to its reputation. The staff were polite and unobtrusive. Will definitely go there again.

Fantastic food at Meze. Great service and a superb experience. Three couples met up for a great dinner and we would happily go back anytime we are in Bexleyheath

Went to The Meze last night and had a lovely meal. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the atmosphere was fab. The food was delicious and well presented.

Enjoyed a very nice meal in a large family group tonight with 7 kids & 6 adults.

Very nice food ! But far to expensive for what you get ? I paid 14 pound for chicken and it came out only 4 bits ! And the starters were far to small !

My son and his girlfriend had been here a couple of times and she really wanted to go there for her birthday.

We came to visit last night and it's safe to say it's one of the best nights out we've had.

Food was delicious but it is overpriced for what it is - just a nice environment / posh decor and good name meaning they can charge more for what is a kebab. My chicken shish was £13 not toooo pricey and delicious but other meal (combo of both chicken and lamb shish) was £23 which is quite expensive. 2-4-1 cocktails on a Thursday were very nice and tasted lovely and made it better value for money. Service was quite slow but the food tasted good so made up for it. Good music, decor and atmosphere.

I very rarely leave bad reviews for any place as I think criticism is so much more easier done than positive reviews however the quality of the food at the meze was beyond poor. We ordered cold and hot starters and we received them as a platter all on the same plate (which is inconsiderate for vegetarian people). Nothing was actually fresh and it all lacked in taste. The cheese pastry were still white and were not fried properly. Calamari over fried and dripping in oil. Hummus was bland, grilled halloumi smelled of meat (maybe cooked on same grill as meat?).

Decent food. Decent Dessert. Decent service. The whole dining experience was decent. It is a decent place to go.

Had good food. It’s was very busy there and I think the portions could have been a little bigger, but we all enjoyed our food. Nothing memorable about the staff, so can’t say either way if they where good or not.

First of all it took 1 hour and a half for our mains to come and then they got the order wrong also after waiting for so long for our food, very disappointed with the service provided ....

I have come here a good few times now and every single time I cannot fault the food, drinks or staff! All the staff are so friendly and will do anything they can to make your experience the best they can make it! The food is absolutely lovely and the cocktails are beautiful! Thank you for always giving me such a pleasant experience whenever I come, whether it is a prime time and busy or it is quiet!!

We visited here with my daughter and her partner - on a Tuesday evening so not too busy. My daughter had extensively looked for a local restaurant that would cater for her being Vegan and had even telephoned other places to check their menus. Meze was the best as had most choice for her. Our waiter was brilliant as soon as she mentioned being vegan, he made sure she made the right choices and that her meal was cooked separately and she had her own 'bread' without butter. We all had a lovely evening and the food was excellent. We have visited before and enjoyed our food then but had to mention that I was very impressed with our service during this visit. Well done Meze for your excellent choices and service.

We go here often, the sea bass, salad, chicken, lamb and big prawns are amazing! Sweet potato chips and spicy rice is nice! Cocktails are good and staff are amazing x

Have been to the meze many times now, visited yesterday with my partner and mum and this was the 1st time of bringing my mum. We ordered the chicken platter which my self and partner love to get as we love the rice and chicken, this time it arrived with chips instead of rice, which I wasn't too happy about as we wasn't even told it they had run out of rice and was going to be given chips instead, only until I queried it.

I went to the resturant one evening midweek and it was rather quiet.

I booked this restaurant for a group of 10 for my wife’s birthday. The restaurant is very easy to find on the high street and there is a public car park 3 mins walk from the restaurant. When we arrived our table was ready and there were staff readily on hand to take our drink and meal orders.

21/07/19 - Myself and my friend Jade spent 6 hours in The Meze restaurant, a good old catch up of 14 years worth of memories as friends. The hospitality was amazing, we went there for a few drinks and ended up having a chicken platter which shares between 2 to 4 people for £35. Our host was Niko from Greece, but born and raised in Albania, he is such a lovely, genuine guy. Niko was very attentive and he made us feel very welcome, he made us laugh the whole time we were there. We will definitely be returning and recommending this restaurant to our friends and family. Thank you soo much for a wonder afternoon/ and evening :)

I absolutely love the meze every time I come the food and service is unreal!

Came here with a couple of my friends the other day and had a lovely time! There were plenty of options to choose from and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. The staff was friendly and provided us with anything we needed. Would recommend and will be back!

Don’t be put off by some of the reviews. We went on a busy weekend and the service was great. Food was everything we expected considering the price and more. Will definitely revisit again.

Arrived with excellent service, very attentive and brilliant! However, as soon as a large table arrived behind us we were completely ignored and forgotten.. got fed up trying to get drinks or deserts, very disappointing, no tip given, shame really...

I tried to book a table online. It does not allow you to exceed 6 people. Tried ringing, constantly going to voicemail. Tried emailing. Finally the next day I got through to the office. Was quoted just short of £400 for a group of a dozen adults and 5 kids, half of them under 5. Due to our religious beliefs we don’t drink alcohol.

my daughter really wanted to come to this restaurant, i booked online but then i needed to amend the booking so spoke to a lady twice - she was great to deal with. we arrived and booking was well organised with my daughter going to the outside bit with her friends and i stayed inside with some family members. sadly they had no lamb shish, so my husband and other daughter went elsewhere (this daughter had tried the restaurant several times and only really likes the lamb shish). i stayed. service for us was not that great so i did speak to a person who looked a manager type and he resolved as best he could. i’m grateful for that. i enjoyed my doner

Heard about this place from a few friends and decided to go.

Booked for a birthday meal. Really welcomed and looked after by Nico. Food was great. Cocktails amazing. All staff friendly. Given a cute corner out the back to chill after the meal. Cant fault the night to be honest.

What a lovely place, friendly staff and the the food was amazing. The meat was succulent, everything was marinated with delicate flavours. Don’t over indulge there is plenty of food and leave room for the desserts . A variety of cocktails, beers and hot/soft drinks too at reasonable prices.

The atmosphere was great. I was taken to the back area where my friends were already sitting. Was surprise at the amount of space at the back and how well presented the place was.

8 of us went here for a birthday. Our average age was about 48 and i must say we did look old in there. That aside it is really busy with a buzzing atmosphere. They serve cocktails which is always a great way to get the evening started. I think the way forward is to order the big mixed kebabs to share amongst you. Some of our party did but was very dismayed when they were told that there was no Donner!!, come on a kebab without NO DONNER!!. Two of us opted for the lamb chops, they were cooked to perfection. Burnt and crispy down the bone, fat burnt and the meat still red. Yes the portions are not the biggest, especially when you are paying top money. So a mixed review from our party in general. Good food though and good atmosphere.

Booked this restaurant for a very special 18th birthday as a table of 8, we originally were going to book sheesh in Chigwell but thought we’d give this place a go as we have heard sheesh is abit over rated and “the meze” is just as good for less money. We really wish we payed that little bit extra and didn’t bother with this place. We called and booked months in advance and asked for the best possible spot in the restaurant. When we arrived, we were in the “insulated” terrace. We were sat in the right hand corner and the breeze was exactly as if we were outside for the people sat in the corner. Not a great start! The pornstar martinis are £8.50 and not even filled all the way to the top, we then were interrupted by a bar tender while we were trying to order our mains asking us if he could make us all a special cocktail, we agreed and later found out they were at a whacking price of £11 each! When our food came out there were two that were a bit delayed, so we asked someone to chase it up and they said it would be 1 minute without even going to check with the kitchen. Another 5 minutes went by and we asked again, and the same thing happened. When a further 5 minutes went by i went to speak to the kitchen myself and found a waiter to speak to, he was listening to my query whilst pausing me occasionally to walk off and shake someone’s had to say goodbye. He done this 3 times which i found majorly rude. When he had finished shaking hands with the more important people in the restaurant he came over to our table and apologised. Admittedly he did take some drinks and the two meals off the bill but two people still had to eat once everyone had finished their dinner, and we did firstly be asked if we could be seated in the best area. The whole way through our meal there were children also running around. Baring in mind this was 9.30 at night and they were running round, screaming, getting changed and fighting all over the Vip booth areas. We just felt as though the restaurant just cares about taking pictures for Instagram and pretending to be more upmarket than they actually are.

Fantastic meal at The Meze as usual. Took parents and kids as a birthday treat and everyone enjoyed the food and drinks. Fabulous service from the waiter who looked after us, as ever, and recommended a lovely bottle of red. Busy even at 6pm on a Tuesday, which highlights its popularity and for good reason!

Went at early evening. Had the baby in the buggy with us. No reservation, but they had no trouble booking us in. menu had plenty of options. Serving staff friendly and helpful. Good came quickly and was really delicious. I’d go again.

Had a very nice lunch with friends and we shared the main platter. This consisted of chicken and Lamb shish lamb chops chicken wings Kofte and doner meat. All in a bed of rice accompanied by a salad. Great value for 3 people.

Great birthday part for about 13 of us last Sunday, great sharing starer for two - cold meze, enough food for 4 really ! The doner was great and a lovely salad. Barman was great and would make any cocktail you would want. Prices are very reasonable and the food really fresh and top - highly recommend

We went here for my birthday and the restaurant has tables on top of each other, the food was nice but they ran out of lamb shish at 5pm and we asked for no doner meat in our shared platter and more chicken shish which we never got, I had to ask 3 times for it.

Our visit at The Meze was one to remember. This is the second time I have visited. We booked for Saturday evening at 6pm.

Visited the Resturant on a busy Friday night with a large group of friends for a special birthday. Table was very tight for the large number we had booked, service was a little slow at times having to chase the staff for drinks , the food and cocktails were lovely as was the music and loud atmosphere.

First visit for me (my son had been before) and I will definitely be back. Prompt service, nice food and generous portions. My only criticism is that I would prefer more traditional Turkish music rather than dance music but I can live with that.

Waiting staff are a little wooden, could be friendlier. Service is far too quick as they are pushy to take your order, our waitress came to our table 3 times in 5 minutes trying to take the order. Go away! Whilst food was great and it really was, main course was very small, could have been doubled up to make it acceptable as only 1 solitary skewer of meat with a few blobs if salad. Come on guys, increase the portion sizes! Address these issues and you have the makings of a great restaurant.

Me and my girlfriend visited The Meze on Christmas Eve. Unfortunately for us we were seated at the terrace, this particular area of the restaurant was extremely cold and I would not recommend this area to anyone who visits this restaurant.

Went here for the second time tonight and I must say it is so much better than I remember.

My wife and I went to the meze for the first time you get a time slot which was enough time for two people but not sure if it was a big group you may be rushed. Food was very nice we had a platter it said for 2/4 people but was to much food for 2 people but they kindly gave us a takeaway bag for the leftovers if you like this kind of food you won’t be disappointed very enjoyable night

Our first time here and would definitely go back. From the minute we arrived to the minute we left (and there were 10 of us) we were very well looked after by all the staff but especially Niko the Manager. It was my twins birthday and they had a table for 8 people. My friend and I chauffeured them there but were keeping our distance so we were able to sit ‘outside’ which is a bit like a marquee/covered area with heaters and cosy booths and fairy lights etc. The cocktails were delicious and the food portions large and nicely served and very hot (I can’t bear luke warm food). The Staff very attentive and friendly. Complimentary cheesecake portions (with candles) were served for my daughters. Nothing was too much trouble. Good value, great food, fab service and a very enjoyable night thank you.

Great value for money! Would definitely advise to book on an evening or weekend as they are busy. Staff are great, always ready to advise on the best cocktails to have :)

We came to this a restaurant as it's Sister branch which is in Bromley has now closed down. The branch in Bromley was amazing had a lovely experience and the food was excellent. Coming to this branch we expected the same but boy was I wrong

Food here really is tasty every time we go. We often get the sharing platter so we can have a bit of everything, which works out very affordable. Love to eat here. Highly recommended. So far the best restaurant in Bexleyheath that I’ve tried.

Have been to The Meze in Bromley before and really enjoyed the food and the service.

I've been The Meze about three times now and have to say that the food is always good, although not superb and definitely doesn't justify the prices charged.

Came here for a birthday party with friends, food was delicious meat so tender and side portions huge. Will try it again

4 of us went and all enjoyed our food. Was very busy and service was a bit slow which I expect on a busy Saturday night. Drinks took a while and had to ask a few times for everything. Overall a lovely evening although quite expensive.

I ordered a lamb shish and chips for delivery and was really looking forward to it after looking at the pictures on the website, to say I was disappointed with what arrived is a massive understatement. For £22.45 I received 5 small pieces of lamb, a handful of chips and ‘some’ salad, I have attached pictures to prove my point. I contacted the restaurant who were totally unapologetic and didn’t seem to care, they just stated that this is their portion size so basically bike it. I will be attending the restaurant anonymously and ordering the same meal to see if it is indeed a normal size portion (which is ridiculous for the price), I will compare and then walk out as this restaurant will never take money off me again due to their poor service and awful after sales care

Me and my boyfriend came here tonight (8th sep 2018) for our anniversary meal. We hadn’t visited before but saw lots of pictures online. We had the hot sharing starter (£15). The cheese pastry was SO salty we couldn’t eat it! Along with the sausage, halloumi and even mushrooms being salty!! The calamari and prawns were alright. For mains my boyfriend had lamb kofta (£10) which was nice but once again salty. I had the combo of chicken and lamb Shish (£23). Along with two sides, rice and chips. The meats were all salty, nothing amazing or out of the ordinary. Just typical kebab meats! The rice was plain long grain rice with a bit of salt and the chips were average. The salads were the best part! Overall with a glass of wine and a cocktail our kebab came to £72... This is an absolute joke! We could’ve got a kebab from our local shop and a bottle of wine for £20 and been much happier! Wouldn’t recommend as the food wasn’t outstanding. The restaurant was small with tables cramped in and the staff were a bit pushy to get you out and the next person in! Simply a restaurant you go to to post on social media.

I have been to meze many times and always had a good experience however I went with family for a birthday and was yesterday and was disappointed. The food was lovely but the service was awful. We waited at least 20mins for our drinks, had to keep reminding waiting staff to bring drinks, food came out at different times and the birthday girl had to wait about ten mins after our mains had come out for her main meal. Overall a really disappointing experience when in the past it has not been. Not sure I'd go back which is a shame.

We enjoyed our food. The tables are very close together so you have to squeeze through to get to your table. Service was good and the portion sizes were generous. We will be returning
