With attentive and friendly bar staff, this place is great for all ages. The food is always piping hot and delicious. Lovely clean place (no sticky tables!) and the outside area is a great sun trap!

Great calm atmosphere today Dario made me very welcome 🤗.

Their page stated they served until 9pm which was verified 2 weeks ago. This is not true. We arrived at 8.35 and were told they stop serving at 8.30. They did agree to serve myself and partner as it was my birthday. My 18yr old son and his 3 18 yr old friends son were refused drinks as 1 only had his college pass. Unfortunately I can't comment on food as we cancelled and left. They need to update their serving times.

I went there on Sunday, and it was lovely. The food was great.

I waited 2 hours for food. And it came not properly cooked and horrible. When I got home I was sick everwere if your out with your family like I was do not come here it’s vile. 🤮🤮🤮🤮

First time we've been here & it was fab. The menu has so much to choose from & the food was unbelievable. The rib a saurus meal was massive & the prices are amazing. We'll definitely be eating here again.

You could have built a brick wall with the mash and used the very salty thick gravy as mortar. Sausages were ok.

Such a shame to give this review but I'm so glad my 7 month old didn't eat any think had a cheese burger was not cooked was pink in middle so had another one was the same my partner had millionaire burger didn't cheack his and today he is paying the price so glad my baby didn't have any burger the staff was lovely over it been so many times first time we hve had a problem

Lovely atmosphere. Lovely helpful staff. Been here a good number of times. Once with my family for a birthday meal treat. 15 of us. Food was lovely and really good value. Special offers on through the week. Parking is free ,but you have to give your reg number at the bar on a tablet. Going back tomorrow for my husbands birthday meal.

Went here before the tranmere v swindon football match & can recommend it to any away fan visiting tranmere football club. As you can see in the photo it is very close to the ground.

All was fine, not sure about having to pay for the parking though, only one machine, only takes coins and a very hard to read screen, would hate to see how it works when there is a rush on...

Brilliant visit to this pub. We arrived for the quiz night after seeing some promotions on Facebook. So glad my wife and I chose to spend our rare date night here. When entering the building we were met with a bright clean and busy pub with many families with young children having meals and socialising. We were greeted by the manageress Sadie, and promptly served our first drink and who then gave us time to check over the menu. Food was delicious and enjoyed. My wife and I really had a great time and will definitely come back.

Cant fault the staff at the Clipper very freindly and welcoming. We come regularly as always have lovely experience by the freindly staff and the food is great value for money when feeding the family and always very enjoyable.

Great family pub. Great tasting pub food, great friendly service always happy to help any needs. The Management team is impeccable no problem is to big any needs met to make you visit a special one no matter if its your 1st visit or 500th.

The pub was great loved all the staff especially a women called Jade who was super helpful and very attractive, thank you for the amazing food and great night guys.

Food was served quickly, very tasty. Staff very polite and helpful. The people in my group enjoyed the food also and mentioned how nice and chatty the staff was.

Typical pub food. Burgers are good. Daily deals so good for a midweek treat. The biscoff cheesecake is amazing but they run out towards the weekend.

Food and service spot on. It's just a bit dated and a little smelly. The carpet needs a deep clean and freshen. Staff were lovely, and the food was really tasty.

Dogs are welcome here, so that's an automatic 5 stars from me...hehe. Very very very clean. The food is awesome aswel I got the enchiladas and they came with nachos & it was delicious & not the cheap nachos like most places. They took my mums order back also and changed it for her without any issues. Lovely, clean and tasty place.

Doesnt cater for regulars, only interested in food, bar staff are hit and miss, its a chore nowadays just to get served,place is like a play ground,full of kids screaming after a sniff of the barmaids apron,nothing like pub,won't be back anytime soon

Lovely pub. Love the decor inside, really cosy vibe to it. Didn't try any food on this occasion but plenty of people were eating and the food looked great. TV at every angle so doesn't really matter where you sit. Toilets were nice and clean.

We have had food at the Mersey Clipper for years, even going for Christmas Dinner but I can assure you we will never return. Service - young staff very rude, rest of staff not much better. Food - Sunday Roast not available on a Sunday, 14 of us booked in and only told when we arrived that they had decided not to do a Roast that morning? Apparently Liverpool ladies were playing at home so food eating families are not in the equation. Goodbye the Mersey Clipper it won't be long before you are closed and the site will be a housing project. Regards Ray

Absolutely love coming here. Whether it's with a mate, my wife or the fambo, it's always a great place to go. Staff are brilliant and the food is awesome 👌

Food was good but we were there before a Young Lionesses match, food was slow to arrive. Tip -if you order on the app, chase it up as orders can get missed or put down the list.

Came here for a pre match meal and pint. Rude staff. I asked if we would have time to eat and the woman said “I don’t know”. Considering the pub is next to the football ground, I would assume she’d understand the wait times for food and business etc. I went up to the counter to ask how much longer it would be, as had been half an hour, and was given a rude response back saying you can see how busy we are. After walking away, waited another 15 minutes, and then my dad went up to the counter and asked. The man dealt with him, and said we were told it was a 50 minute wait (we weren’t told this) and got a refund. I understand it’s match day, however it is a women’s international under 23s game. The pub wasn’t crowded either.

Why have a phone and not answering what a joke

This pub cheap and cheerful. Staff very pleasant especially Sue and Dario. Food scrummy, good menu. We go there most Thursdays for lunch. Always made welcome.

Called in for lunch with my husband and our dog. We had a chicken sharing platter for two really good would have fed three people comfortably very tasty. Plenty of seating and staff very friendly will definitely be returning.

Nice pub but beware you have to pay for parking but not at the machine in the car park. Inside the pub see one of the staff and they will authorise you stay . I did know about this and a couple of weeks later got a debt collectors letter. I spoke to the staff at the mersey clipper they told me if I go back in they will cancel the fee. Don't let that put you off a very nice place

Cheap & cheerful Spacious & good atmosphere

Large, busy pub. It was 5 pm, so the pub was busy with families eating meals. Bar staff are friendly and efficient. I had a pint of Green King IPA which was obviously not used much or the barrel was on the turn, so it tasted like vinegar. Tried to take it back, but it was so busy, so I gave up. We left and moved to another pub. Not many bitters on offer, but lots of lagers to choose from.
