The Mermaid Clapton in Hackney

We were a family of 8 who went for Sunday lunch. Only two of us ordered the roast, with two others going for the fish and chips, two for the mussels and two for the vegan burger. Service was excellent and friendly. The food was good particular thumbs up for the lamb, the mussels and the chips. The fish was a weird shape (think savloy), the batter was beautiful and soft however the fish was rather bland. All in all though a very good menu, very good service and lovely atmosphere.

Mi novio y yo hemos trabajado en pubs durante años, así que salir y disfrutar de un asado de pub un domingo es una rareza y elegir a la sirena fue una elección perfecta. ! Comida increíble, bebidas increíbles y Connor fue muy servicial. ¡Lo hizo muy difícil irse! Gracias por un hermoso almuerzo del domingo. . . Volveremos al 100%!

This is a real gem, the type of pub worth travelling across London to, with excellent craft beers, a satisfying food menu and young hosts who know the meaning of true customer service. The pub has a new licensee and has been completely redecorated a few months ago. The atmosphere is great- there’s a real buzz about it, a great vibe. I happened to be there on a Tuesday and so the menu (still being developed by the new management) was tacos - Tacos Tuesday. They were superb, great flavours. It all bodes well for this pub’s future. How I wish we had small pubs like this in Sydney. I’ll certainly be back while I’m on this extended stay in London.

Este es un excelente pub en Clapton, tiene una gran sensación al respecto y los propietarios realmente lo cuidan, excelente comida, excelente personal y un ambiente realmente agradable.

Fuimos a The Mermaid para el almuerzo del domingo con amigos y no nos decepcionó. El personal es amable, sonriente y charlando. De primera categoría, Bloody Mary y la comida realmente sabrosa: ¡la salsa de médula ósea debe embotellarse! ! ! Buen ambiente, precios razonables y retrocederá muy pronto.

Excellent Sunday roast. Great cracking on the pork. Great veg too. Very informal for Sunday family food. Children and dogs welcome. New screen installed for the sport and they have got a rid of the awful head banger music. I have wish to it were my local. Pretty cool.

This is a gem of a find. Upon entering you recieve a genuine welcome and are made to feel at home. The 2 chaps now running the place are extremely knowledgeable about the craft beers they sell here and openly promote the local smaller breweries that provide some of them. It’s a really relaxing laid back atmosphere, the pub is very clean and cosy & im told is getting a refurb in January - can’t wait to seethe changes :-) After the refurb they will be providing food and given the standard and dedication to the beer I will definitely be eating here! I challenge you to go here and come away without having a positive experience!! Great job guys, keep up the good work 🙌🏻
