Once the Jolly Sailor Pub owned by George+Kit Heslop. We were brought up here late 60s-70s so holds a great deal of memories. Every Sunday Salvation Army band marched past on way to Byker. 60's band Lindesfarne were regulars then and formed here. ITV's newsmen Mike Neville and George House came to one of their parties. If those in here now look after their customers as well as they were looked after then they're doing a great job!

You get exactly what it says on the tin. Decent food, decent prices served by decent people.

I've just got back into the meeting place (through work and different events) however the best breakfast in Wallsend by far. We tried the Sunday dinner (and delivered) absolutely out standing. Well done to the staff for quality and efficiency. Brilliant service and wouldn't go anywhere else. 5 starsx

I decided to go here at a friend's request, I just had coffee, but my mate had a breakfast and what I found was this place is cheap, (not many places like this left) breakfast and two drinks cost less than 5.00.There is a vast array on offer and I'm sure if you have any food requirements such as pigs breakfast then I'm a very sure they accept your request, if you have food allergies then just ask them ! There is plenty of seating with easy wipe table cloths (reminded me of the 60/70's cafe commonly known as a greasy spoon but these places are a diamond and I love them, smoking area out back if you feel the need, definitely worth a visit I know I will.

Called in for takeout Sunday dinners for the family, during tier 4 restrictions, as we were having work done on the kitchen. Absolutely excellent home cooked dinners. Choice of chicken, beef or lamb and small, medium or large. The medium size would feed two people and only costs £6.00. My family were really impressed! Yum

As Ned Flanders would say about this place, it's 'scrum didly doo!' Called in on Sunday (15/4/2018) with the Mrs. One Cappuccino, one tea and a small breakfast, which had 6 items on came to £4.10. And it was fabulous. Looks may be deceiving but well worth popping in. Staff are so warm and welcoming, nothing was a problem. I'm defiantly going back there and my niece who lives nearby swears on their Sunday roasts as being the best around!

Staff are great food is great prices are great, only probelm is the decor and floor plan.

Was there today 15/09/2017 had a daily special for £4.00 which was a lamb chop and veg with a cup of tea not a bad dinner give the place ago canny food and cheap.

Get a Great value bacon sarnie. And judging by its sit down busyness its meals are good and value too.

Turned up for a Sunday lunch as I was working in the area and it was the only place obviously open on a Sunday. Absolutely blown away by the service. Friendly staff, good coffee, amazing sized portions coupled with extremely cheap prices - and there's both WiFi and a handful of arcade machines in the place! Absolutely Brilliant =)

Pop in regular when im in wallsend for a take out bacon sarnie...big and beautiful just like me missus. My laddie loves the place... Friendly and accomodating and gets a good regular buisness for there sunday dinners. Good grub
