So-so scampi and chips, small pub in a small town, so it was pretty standard fare.

One of the happiest places I have ever visited. Quite by chance, while holidaying in Scotland, we happened into this pub desperately trying to find an evening meal. The place was packed and noisy as...but we were desperate. Nowhere to sit but the amazing friendliness of people on one table soon saw us squeezed in. The next couple of hours was a blur of Scottish friendliness as we dined on beef roast with Yorkshire pudding. A great meal with great company. We will not forget the Maybole Arms.

We had the pleasure to visit from South Africa on 22 December 2023, and had a wonderful time, enjoying good food (steak pie is recommended), cold beers and welcoming Scottish hospitality. Also pet friendly.

Very much a local pub but it offers excellent value, good simple food and welcomes dogs. Very pleased we came off the A77 in search of something to eat.

Well worth a visit to see a decent Scottish pub. When we no visited there was a core of locals at the bar and seated at the tables. A decent range of drinks, with one good real ale, a bit of a rarity in these parts. The landlord was a quintessential old school landlord. A little reticent at first but then very friendly and welcoming as soon as we got chatting. If you are used to flashy, busy modern city pubs then this is quite different and worth a visit.

We popped in here for a quick bite to eat and it was amazing. Both our meals were delicious. The staff were brilliant especially Loki, the pub's dog, who was a true delight and gentleman 🥰 If in the area, I highly recommend this place.

A great wee pub......i often frequent this wee pub on my visits to Scotland. The landlord and his staff are always very pleasant and welcoming. Although Maybole is less than a vibrant wee town there are always characters who spin a good yarn. I will be there next week for a few pints of Scottish Cheer.

This is a beautiful find, the bar is a classic Scottish style, with a log burning fire and comfy sofas. The bistro has seating all the way back into the beer garden with incredible views of rolling hills, churches and countryside! A great menu of pub classics and plenty of beers on tap, with a separate Gin menu and perfect selection of whiskeys, you can’t go wrong with stopping by! This was our second trip and won’t be our last!

good car parking and staff very helpful. Dog friendly. Food was very wholesome and cheap and whilst the Pub looks rough, externally inside it was fine. Not exactly fine dining but food cost wise was very reasonable

We were staying locally for the night and decided to wander down and get a bite to eat with the kids. You’re definitely walking into the local but we found a table and our order for our food and drinks were taken. The food came quickly enough and each of our meals were excellent. Really great value for money. We enjoyed a couple of drinks and some attention from the pub dogs. Cash only. Would definitely go back if we are back in the area.

The Maybole Arms now has real ale on tap and is rotating the ales week by week. Personal favourites are the Ayr Brewing Company beers, brewed just 9 miles up the road. This is a friendly community pub where everyone is welcome and lively debate is enjoyed. Nothing fancy, certainly not the prices which are hard to beat. There is a public car park (with toilets ) adjacent to the pub so it is easy enough to stop off if you are travelling through Maybole, Home of the legendary Carrick Rugby Club. The local characters and staff always make visitors welcome and traditional pub grub is available.

Located about 5 mins from the top of Maybole high street is the Maybole Arms formerly called the Masons Arms, this is a small modern public house with a good selection of ales and spirits, it is very handy for people who wish to take a short break when heading for the Irish ferry as its right on the doorstep so to speak.

Went here with some friends after working up an appetite swimming. Food was absolutely stellar and all staff gave an excellent service with a smile. Great range of food and very accommodating to dietary needs, it can be a struggle to find somewhere with as many options for dairy/gluten free diets. 10/10 will definitely be back regularly.

This is a real hidden gem. Set off the beaten track it takes a bit more effort that some of the more bouge cafes in Troon, but if you're looking for honest food and a fair price in a cafe you can get a seat in....its well worth the extra 3 min walk.

Went here for breakfast, before getting the train. After checking out previous reviews, we were pleasantly surprised. Good food, freshly cooked to order. Staff are also willing to swap if you don't like certain items. Only thing I didn't like was, the toast comes buttered. Friendly staff & decent price. Will definitely visit again.
