The Masala Boyz Indian Takeaway in Tamworth - Phone Number, Reservations, Reviews

Not sure who these people are or how they got my number, but I live nowhere near Tamworth so wouldn't be ordering a takeaway!

Tried calling - Number not in use. Tried emailing them - nothing. Tried their FB page - nothing. Its been over an hour and half and the order is still in the "preparation stage" per their website. Accidents and isolated incidents happen. But you cannot run a delivery service *without* something as fundamentally basic as a working phone or customer contact system. (Update: The food arrived 5 minutes later. It was hot. It was well cooked. tasted good. But the wait (they advise 45mins and we were over double that) & the lack of contact (No telephone number is a red flag), meant we already ordered elsewhere and ended up with two takeouts... Have revised initial score from 1 star to 3 stars. Food good, but the telephone and delay thing is not great)

So first thing is 1 negative, we did wait a long time past our eta time, I called and was told not long then again and told a few minutes. Maybe pause online orders while its so busy........ HOWEVER when our food arrived if was hot, huge portions, tasty and cooked to perfection! The delivery driver was very nice and apologised for the delay. We are human and understand its Christmas and its good you are very busy. It was well worth the wait though ✋ 😊 xxxx

Don't even think of using this place the place is is still delivering but we waited 3 hours and and the place is closed so not sure where the food is coming from.

Used to be our favourite takeaway but recently weve waited longer and longer for our deliveries. Ordered at 9pm tonight and waited until 10:30pm before calling the restaurant. No one answered the phone after multiple times. Went round to the place and they had closed early without delivering our food. I would like a refund please :(

This used to be our favourite take away and fully understood why they received the award they did. However we ordered tonight and the food took over 2 hours to come. The food is completely different to the many times we’ve ordered before and things were missing from the order. We will not be ordering from here again

Absolutely gutted to of been completely let down tonight. I've ordered many many times from here and always had great service and outstanding food but tonight has been a massive disappointment. I ordered direct through the website, ordered was accepted as many times before after an hour I gave them a call to be told that they had my order and it would be on its way soon. After another 30 minutes I track the order online which stated my order had been delivered but I still not had any food. I try to call again to only get an answer machine so I leave a message. After going back on the Web site it had updated to the takeaway being closed until 5pm the next day. I decided to drive to the shop to find it in darkness, Payment has been taken and a claim on the web my order had been delivered. I hope to receive a full refund.

This is the worst takeaway in Tamworth. I read that they had received an award so tried to order 2 weeks ago through justeat...after waiting an hour the restaurant cancelled my order. I gave them a second chance tonight and downloaded there app. I ordered at 5.11 to be delivered at 6.05, its now 8.00 and I still haven't received the order. I have called the restaurant 3 times and every time they have said its on the way...be there soon. They have totally ruined my night. I advise you don't use this takeaway as they are totally unreliable. Now for trying to get my money back!!!

I came to stay in near hotel and decided to order food cause of good reviews , I had to call 4 times, no one answered for first three times, 4th time, the guy Manam, said order online, I chosen few dishes , but couldn’t do online payment near £40 called the takeaway to order on phone, the guy was very rude, sarcastic and did not understand my order properly, he didn’t know the hotel address and said he’s new , when it came to payment he said we sent you a text,I told him Iv not received any text, he started behaving rude, persuading that I had text and I’m not checking my phone properly, I have explained several times that my phone is on speaker and I’m checking I have not received any text message, he’s become loud and disrespectful, that you might not have good phone or checking it (I was using iphone11 pro max) my children could hear him, I asked him to behave himself and pass the phone to his manager, he flipped and said I’m the manager, he would not pass the phone to anyone else, At the end of 10 mins dispute Iv decided to cancel the order and hang the phone down, I would not recommend or order food from here again,

At nearly £3 for a vegetable samosa I would have expected to receive more than 2 Doritos sized samosas. Appalling value. On the positive side the curry was nice and the food arrived hot.

Terrible service over a hour late on expected called up no help on the phone still no food ! . Staff on the phone not helpful I work in a customer service environment and I would not speak to people this way at all ! ! It’s ok being late and overwhelmed with orders but this should not differ away from customer service all I got was yeah so what it’s a hour late just wait ! So I will and never use your service again !!!

Not at all the usual standard.. not too sure whats going on with you guys. But have lost a customer with tonights meals. 2nd time items missing. Order incomplete. Order requested no coriander and all dishes have coriander, food is now in the bin as I don't fancy the possibility of having an allergic reaction to this every Order made has the request of no coriander not sure why this has been forgotten. Can't be bother to call back and argue over it again!! Sorry guys you have gone from a* who i have highly rated in the past and recommended to many, to very bad service and a customer who will find another curry house for my weekly biweekly curry! Front house needs to go back to the original guy as the older gentleman your using now isn't very good at customer care!

Ordered takeout last night and phoned 3 times to chase up my order but the food never arrived. Staff on the phone were unhelpful and rude. Terrible customer service.

Nice food but every item in my delivery needed 2 minutes in the microwave as it was so cold. App showed it set off for delivery at 6 and it was delivered at 6.42 You need more delivery drivers so food isn't driving about for so long going cold.

4th time we have ordered from these boyz. Had 3 excellent tasty meals but sadly we were a tad disappointed tonight. Starters 5/5 but lost points on the main which was very watery and the Keema naan had burnt mince meat and the bread was cremated. Don't let this put you off from ordering as we all have an off day. Well, 2 weeks on (28/11/20) and we ordered again. We were given a 45 minute wait time for delivery which is the norm. However, after 1 1/4 hours we phoned up to chase our order. We were told the driver was on his way. 1/2 hour later and still no delivery, we live 8 minutes away. We telephoned again and was told the driver had left. I can only assume the driver went via Gillingham to Wilnecote! 20 minutes later and the meal arrived but by this time we had all gone past looking forward to our meals. So after ordering 5 times from Masala Boyz and gaining 395 loyalty points we have decided to stop using this place. 10/12/20 just received feedback on their own website saying..."don't order from us again!" 🤔 Ok then I'll go somewhere more reliable

This is the second time I have ordered from Masala Boyz. First time they were about 30 minutes late with the food warm at the most. This time over an hour late. We had to ring them twice and both times they told us they were on their way and no show for 35minutes, when we live 10 minutes away. Safe to say will not use them again due to poor service and not very warm food on arrival. The man on the phone just laughed at the fact the food was late. Not impressed at all!

Food arrived an hour late and was cold. Poor service had to call 5 times to get an update. Do not order.

Absolutely the best Indian food in The Masala Boyz has got good flavour, top quality meat, and tastes incredible. Plus arrives very promptly. Highly recommended.

The food is delicious just finished our honey chilli chicken with the jasmine rice and salt and chilli chips can highly recommend this dish.two happy people thankyou The Masala Boyz

Never eaten from here before, but I think I’ve got a new favourite! The Masala Boyz has Amazing quality food. Not greasy or packed out with veg to make it look full. All freshly cooked and really generous portions of meat. Came on time, really quickly. Would 100% recommend

Passing by Pixies Grotto, spotted Masala and thought of giving it a shot as I always heard that Indian food is spicy. However, not only the prices are affordable, I enjoyed the meal and felt the indian style of food. Massive vouch, love it! Keep up the good work Masalas! A+

These guys are just plain rude. Mess up orders and blame the customer. Place is a joke. They can try to become threatening too. Which they can't deliver on that either.

Started using you guys instead of our usual Indian, first order was great, second order was missing items and not as tasty then today again order missing items and later than expected, I don't mind waiting the extra time if the foods good but really wasn't upto scratch I'm afraid, sorry to say don't think we'll be using you guys again.

The masala Boyz is one of the best Indian I have tried the masala was out of this world My partner head a balti we really enjoyed it the staff area friendly will definitely be coming back

The masala was very bland and watery, you only get two tiny oil covered veg samosas for £3 but the keema naan was okay. Wasn’t worth the money for a mediocre curry.
