My partner and I always make a point of stopping off at the Marquis of Granby whenever we're in London - it's such a great pub in the centre of town that feels like your favourite local. The food menu is really extensive, tasty and affordable, whether you're looking for a small snack or a full dinner, and there's enough variety to suit even the pickiest eater! The manager Santha is so lovely, and special shout out to the brilliant Ishan, Shemal, Farhaz and Nidhi, who are all so kind and attentive, making every customer feel welcome and going out of their way to help. I'm very fussy when it comes to cleanliness and hygiene, but the pub and amenities are always absolutely spotless, with staff taking the time to clean tables regularly and thoroughly. Great selection of drinks too, and they know how to pour a decent pint! All the staff are super friendly and welcoming, and I haven't got a bad word to say. Will absolutely be back next time i'm in the city! Thanks Santha and her amazing team!

I been to the British museum earlier and I wanted a place I could have dinner with some beer. Great food I'm stuffed but it's shame that the staff don't understand the term Real Ale and this is for Nicholson pub. I had to go up to bar to see what Real Ale they had on which they only had London pride on. It seems very strange to only have London Pride on when they only recently re-opened again but that I mind London pride but strange.

Went here for a quick snifter as have been walking by it for ages. It was very crowded, popular and hot despite the chilly temps outside. Service was snappy and the tables were cleared with reasonable regularity. Had a very passable Merlot. The food menu seemed good although we didn’t stop for it - the fish finger sandwich plus drink for £8- seems a good idea. I would have said that this place really shines in the summer given the large outside space, but it’s nice enough to merit a return in the winter.

We ordered our first round of drinks at the bar, but after schmoozing with the staff, they served us at our table. Great selections of beers, ciders, gins and tonics! Not that far from tottenham court road station which sits at the start of Oxford street. Being a little bit out of the way it makes this a nice quite and cozy not touristy pub. It's got a nice atmosphere. One thing to note is, as you will see in a photo that I took, the stairs leading to the toilets are very steep and has narrow steps. For a normally able person this obviously isn't a problem but might be if you are not.The drinks are well priced for being in central London! Although I have to say I had pretty much the worst old russian ever. The whisky itself was rough. The main problem is that whoever made the drink at the bar dumped a load of melted water ice in with the ice which ruined the drink. It was watery and unpleasant. If not for that I would probably have rated this 4 stars instead of 3 stars. All in all I enjoyed the pub and if in the area I would go back... maybe just stick to the beers & ciders though.

Worst customer service ever! Staff was very rude. The blonde lady who claimed herself to be the manager on duty at lunch time (1:30pm) on Friday 26th of Aug is the rudest manager I've ever encountered in my life. My work involves customer service and I can say that she doesn't deserve to have that kind of job with her disgusting attitude. Me and my son was seating outside while my friend was ordering the food when my son complained about being too hot so we moved inside. My friend was in the toilet when the food came, the "manager" gave me a rude look and said "you cannot sit inside with a kid, kids aren't allowed inside", so I said "we have been sitting here for a while and no one told us, I didn't know because I've been to some pubs and he was allowed inside" then she said "yes some pubs but not this pub, we don't have the licence to have kids inside", i said "maybe there should be a sign outside or something" and she said "don't argue with me, this is London, this is the law, don't break the law in my pub", I said "oh you own this pub?", "she said "yes", now please someone get back to me to show me the picture of the owner of this pub to confirm that she is actually the owner of this pub because I want to know. Then we went outside to see there weren't any table free for us so she said "so what do you want me to do with your food? It's really busy in the bar I need to get back there", I said "there's no table, what do you want me to do?", she said "I don't know, I'll leave your food by the bar", and walked out. Luckily when my friend got back he spoke to the ladies on one table outside to respectfully asked how long they will be staying there and explained the situation and the ladies kindly moved inside after 5 mins. This kind of people shouldn't be working in a customer service oriented industry as it can affect and even ruin the day of people who just wanted to chill and have a nice meal with thier family. I will be waiting for a response from my questions. Thank you.

Lots of glass keeps the setting bright on a rare sunny London day, and the steady stream of smart looking customers makes this a solid choice for an insider's retreat.

Solid London pub, with the usual selection of local ales. Some dodgy pop music playing and quite a big area to stand outside and observe the beautiful people in Charlotte street.

We wanted to try fish and chips before leaving London. After conversation with a pub without food options, we went to this place. The fish and chips were good but maybe to expensive for pub food.

Located at the bottom of Rathbone St in the heart of Fitrovia this is a very popular pub with outside seating available. There are also overhead heaters for those chilly days and nights. There is a great selection of beers on tap, the toilets are very clean and modern and it looks like a great place to eat although I was only there for a drink.

Have passed by the Marquis on the way to and fro in Fitzrovia but never ventured inside. This time made it through the doors attracted by a breakfast deal. Once inside and despite the morning hour it was 'rude not to' and a pint of Guinness ensued to accompany said breakfast.Service was friendly, pub was clean and had bags of atmosphere, even at an early hour, toilets spotless. Breakfast itself was more than adequate, special mention for a rather tasty sausage and a decent sized portion served in a steel skillet that my Grandma would have approved of. As do I.

Popped into for a drink. The location is in Fitzrovia, so lots of competition and lots to see. It is close enough to Oxford St, and Bloomsbury to get a good crowd. I was served very quickly, with a really friendly smile.Had a large glass of wine, which was very good. Not cheap but in this area you do not necessarily expect that. The advantage was that this is a nice venue, the service good and lots of history to soak up. Writers such as Dylan Thomas drank here and it still attracts artistic characters.Food looked good, I will return and try their food.

We had two great dinners at this pub. Atmosphere was just as we expected an English pub to be. Food was well presented, fresh and local. Staff were really friendly, especially Beverly. Enjoyed the experience.

First time i had been here and greeted by a very friendly and attentive barmaid who immediately asked us to sample Trooper a promotional beer. We did then as a result of this decided to stay for what turned out to be a very pleasant working lunch with that same barmaid recommending a good red wine. Good atmosphere, good food and beverage and good staff. I booked my office Christmas lunch there on the spot as a result of my experience

This is a 'Nicholson's pub, nicely decorated and set up. Beer was unusual and good and the food significantly better than your average 'pub grub'. Prices were also good. The staff were friendly and efficient and I'd definitely go there again as would my 2 companions of the day.

Good pub pretty much in the heart of the West End.Nice for an unwind on the way home. Not nearly as full of advertising execs as it used to be. (Thank God)Fine selection of beers and ciders. Well looked after and stored.Food good and seems to be genuinely home cooked.

A good example of a Nicholson pub: a wide selection of beer, reasonable prices, and friendly staff. The location is an ideal meeting place if you are going on for a meal in one of the many Fitzrovia restaurants that are near by. Alternatively you could just tip up for a drink or three. Recommended

Visited for my boyfriend's birthday - lovely little place and nice to see they had a different selection of ciders than many pubs I've visited (Cornish Orchard blush...yum). Really good place to sit and chill with friends!

It was a great evening at this fantastic place. Their coffee tastes so nice thanks to the cute bartender Bishnu. All their staff were so nice and kind . Very good service I will defenately visit here again because of the environment. Last but not the least server Hasan was a good man and very good story teller for his good service I had to post this big review.

Henry’s closed about a month ago as the tenants, Stonegate pub co, decided to let it go due to a rent hike by the owners. I’ve submitted this to Google but they haven’t amended this to closed yet - so I’m writing this review to try save people from getting there expecting it to be open as I witnessed recently. There is a planning application on the front door for its next usage - see photo.
