Banging home made sausage rolls.

Went for food with a view. Ordered wraps as limited choices available, chicken wasn't freshly cooked and tasted like heated precooked chicken. Falafel was dry, slaw was veg and vinaigrette, and totally overpowering. Lots of dogs allowed in, both on and off lead. Not really a destination, more like a pit stop spot. Outside surroundings where busy but seanic.

Had a lovely roast chicken here today, with garlic butter. Lovely roast veggies, and a nice Yorkshire pudding. Lots of drink options, and some nice sauces. Could maybe do with a crumble or a sticky toffee pudding dessert to cap it off, but the roast was good. The service was great too, and the price was decent.

First time visiting The Mansion Bar and Cafe for food - as I usually visit the brilliant Homestead Cafe - also in Beckenham Place Park and I had a lovely roast today. The cafe itself is relaxed and shabby-chic, in the beautiful mansion building, with stunning views across the park. The lady who served us was really friendly and helpful. The prices were reasonable and the food very good indeed: loved my nut roast and the cauliflower cheese was perfect. If I had one suggestion I’d have really liked some more dessert options (was really hankering after a crumble or a pudding with custard) but this is just a small thing and I really had a lovely meal and wouldn’t hesitate to come back for another cosy roast.

The mansion cafe catered for my event in the mansion house recently. I requested vegetarian food for my Yoga day retreat and the catering team came back with the perfect menu within my budget. The food was delicious and there was plenty to go around. Everyone commented on how much they enjoyed it.I couldn't fault it! Thank you again Mansion Cafe! 💓

The mansion bar provided the bar for our wedding recently at Beckenham Place. Max and the team were wonderful, we couldn’t fault them really. They were helpful, friendly and extremely efficient. We would happily recommend.

It's so lovely to sit outside this place and take in the vista. Unfortunately, the café itself is a bit lacking in comparison to its sister, the Homestead. It has a decent, albeit limited drinks selection. They don't seem to be doing food at the moment, but you can get snacks - crisps, ice cream etc. We bought some really unpleasant chocolate fudge cake today - bone dry and tasted very strange (don't know how you can get chocolate cake that wrong, but this was awful!) But our real bugbear is the staff. The guy behind the bar who seemed to be in charge was nice, but the younger staff working with him could really use a few lessons in customer service - including the basics like saying please, thank you, and making eye contact with customers. It's not the first time we've had a poor experience there in terms of staff appearing fed up / surly, so this cemented it for us really. My final gripe - despite the fact they knew I'd popped to the ladies (15, 20 mins before closing) they bolted the front door so no one else could come in - and when I struggled to open it on my way out, no one bothered to help. Bit poor. We'll go to the Homestead next time!

A nice place to hangout, though very limited range of snack foods. No healthy options for kids snacks. Coffee is ok, but not a patch on the nearby homestead cafe.

I haven’t had food here, but coffee is amazing! It’s a perfect treat after a little walk in the park. Can’t think of anything better than spending 30 minutes at the outside table with a good flat white looking out the lovely open space.

Wont sell refreshments at 3.45 closes at 4. Slack service.

Walked out as food did not come. Slowest service. Pointless and frustrating I would not even give it 1 star...never ever go here!

Delicious food, reasonably priced. Great views of the park to sit & watch the world go by. Music from the speakers outside was a bit too loud to sit comfortably when eating but otherwise lovely atmosphere. Would recommend.

Terrible experience. Prices were not as advertised on their menus. Charged almost 25% more. 1 slice of bacon was up from £1.50 to £2 , 33% increase. Then when the food came the guacamole was horrible big lumps of unripe avocado. Bacon over cooked. Bread soggy and horrible. I complained about the prices but gave up on the food. Very disappointed with the whole experience. Will not be coming back.

Visited the bar and cafe today and met Russell the Lovely chap working in the hut. What a smiley fella who was very helpful and kind! Take care my dude!

Very nice open space lovely for a day out walk the Mansion it self actually surprised me as they have all sorts of activities going on inside it but also have activities all over the park for example in the big pond I did waterboarding which was very good and they also use it as a swimming pool so very good for a general nice day out and also the little cafés and small minivan food is very nice especially the fish and chips.

Stopped for a coffee and snack. Ordered cheese toasty, and bacon rolls, took ages to come, was cold, very greasy toasty. For 4 snacks - about £23 the bill was just under £50 so £27 for coffees with added service charge. Seemed a lot for a pretty basic cafe. Lovely waitress but terrible food.

I sat with my mum and auntie to have a drink and some lunch. The first warning sign was the table was sticky but we had seen it was wiped. We were given a menu and explained that they were only serving from the brunch menu as the early risers (9-12) had finished. I did ask if it was possible to have a toasted cheese sandwich, on the early risers part, but the chef is quite strict on the menu. I chose the popcorn chicken with a side of fries. The waitress was stand offish with a rude tone. Once I ordered, another customer ordered the toasted cheese sandwich and was allowed to which was annoying. Food arrived and it was a disappointment. The popcorn chicken was barely even a full breast - you’d get more at KFC. It was relatively tasty so I ate it and the fries too. Halfway through I noticed a beard hair in the fries - short, black and thick - and the waitress took them away. I went to pay for the two coffees and Diet Coke and she said that the chicken was fine so I should pay for it. I said no as I found a hair in my food. She challenged again and I said I won’t pay for it as there was hair. The service was poor and the staff are so unfriendly. Won’t ever eat or have a coffee here again.

We went to the bar to partake in the quiz. The quiz was really fun and there was a really nice buzzy atmosphere. We ordered some halloumi fries and a toasted cheese and ham sandwich and the sandwich was honestly the best I'd ever had! Staff are really friendly and the new plants and candles make it feel extra cozy! Perfect for an autumnal evening with friends. Highly recommended!

Nice food and coffee, friendly service, although I had a rather long wait in the queue on Sunday at nearby Homestead Cafe just for one coffee.

Overpriced basic food you could get during ww2 from a tin.

Historically interesting but needs a lot of attention Can be hired for functions but looks very neglected wasn't impressed by the state of the place. Haven't been downstairs to the cafe and personally wouldn't be tempted at another time

Really lovely day out. So much to keep the family occupied and having fun. We had a great time.

We enjoyed our visit, which was a preambulatory (although I never vote that way) intro to the park. Nice little café in the main house, with a friendly young waitress and there was a 'Bargain Hunt' type of bric a brac shop around the corner too. Great place to blow the cobwebs away. The park that is, not the shop 😊

After a long cycle, grabbed a toasted ham & cheese toastie, 2 pieces of blueberry oat crumble cake, a tea and juice - very reasonable under £15 and lovely customer service. The toastie and cake were both delicious and I want the cake recipe! :)

I visited the cafe today to check out the launch of the new menu. I was very impressed. They are offering an exciting menu filled with everyones favourites. I went for 'The Mansion Veggie' which was 10/10. They offer a varied choice of vegetarians options. Atmosphere was lovely, cosy setting with new additional seating. Great service from Isobel and Karim. Would recommend a visit to anyone.

Quirky and fun. £4 for a small can of cider seemed a little steep, but the Meantime was fine.

Fantastic to be in the park this afternoon and fancying a little drink to stumble upon this little bar being open! Peroni and IPA on tap, will be a regular from now on!
