Eddy's Fish Bar in Lewisham

I went to get some lunch from here, and i wish i hadn't. Once i see the lamb kebab i should have just turned around and walked back out the door it was so dry as it was left over the heat so i had second thoughts of getting chips & battered sausage, the chips had no flavour what so ever even though i got salt and vinegar (i couldnt even taste that) and i believe the oil must of been weeks old as for the battered sausage the batter wasn't the best in the world but the sausage had all the flavour even a hint of salt. I would avoid this establishment at all costs and a tip for the owner of the business quit while you're ahead before the food standards agency shuts you down or you lose all your customers.

Almost entire menu was unavailable. Pre-ordered, but they only started cooking once I arrived. Not especially clean looking, definitely questionable food hygiene. Batter was awful, and chips tasted of week old oil.

Decent food, great deserts. Fair prices.

If they trained the staff to the standards of the dark hair man that works there the place would make more money, very time I have got chips from there when the woman and the fat man has served me the food is normally cold and full of fat , but when I've been served by the other man there the service has been 5 star and the food

I ordered plaice which is my favourite,when it came the batter was so soggy an not crisp as it should be.as you now plaice is not cheap but it completely put me off because off the batter,really not happy.I ended up giving it to my dog.

Quality food and lots of choice , very friendly staff and reasonable price

First time I tried here and never again. Had cod and chips. The cod was flat and grey looking and batter soggy and oily. Not one square chip...just scraps of chips. £7.00 was disgusted. Surprised with the 5* ratings !!!!!

Bought fish and chips the fish was like rubber couldn't pull it apart .. batter like tough and not soft.. couldn't eat it had to throw it away .I will not visit again waisted money

I love the service over at eddys and they are really good with the new COVID rules too. I highly recommend the chicken burger with cheese

I only use Eddy have done for years we travel fro. Orpington to go there wont use any other chippy

Ordered food from here, chips were cold and dry. The centre of the fish was rubbery and chewy...inedible

Absolutely rubbish pies baked up couldn’t even get a knife in to cut chips dry and burnt avoid avoid unless u want to waste money on dried up food

Excellent fish and chips. Usual stuff fish chips burgers kebabs etc. Probably the cheapest in the area.
