The Lounge by Graze Life in Dacorum

Only managed to find this place and ate there once not long before it changed hands, so I was absolutely delighted to find the food side of the business went "mobile" when I attended a housewarming party that was catered for by GrazeLife. For me, là piéce de resistance on the menu is their honeycomb. Try it with brie or even your own favourite type of cheese... Absolute heaven! You'll not be disappointed with their huge selection of grazing foods, from fruits to nuts, to olives to chorizo / other cured meat bites, cheeses and of course, HONEYCOMB!! 😋😋😋😋😋

We had such a fab time at the various events held at The Lounge Graze Life. Great atomosphere, fab staff and yummy food. Will really miss you!

We had a private hire booked here for a surprise party. Michelle was so good with answering emails when I was booking and on the night, the staff were amazing and so helpful with the drinks, food, music etc. Fiona in particular was incredible. The grazing food was so nice and fresh, everyone absolutely loved it and was so complimentary of the bar and the food! Thank you so much, can’t recommend them enough for any event!

I held my mother's wake at The Lounge last week, Michelle and her team couldn't of been more professional, helpful and so accommodating, the food, wines and service were wonderful, I would most definitely recommend Michelle her teams services and what the Lounge has to offer if you have an event in mind.

Fantastic night on Christmas eve, the karaoke was fantastic. Everyone went up to sing. Food was excellent and the wine was perfect. You can see everyone who works here enjoys what the do as well. Highly recommended. A must vist!

Cabaret was so much fun! Cocktails made by Jack the Mixologist are Unreal - no one should be driving on a night at The Lounge. Can’t wait to get booked in for another event. Staff are all very attentive and friendly, nothing is too much trouble.

The food is not freshly made, mainly from a supermarket it seemed, but is prepared nice and simple to eat. I wish the food was made at the property and there were more variety when ordering. Service was really slow on a quiet night and we were sat next to a very noisy, drunk and distracting table who ruined our experience here. I would be interested in returning for their event night they seem to host, but probably not to eat for dinner again. Reply to this review is just to insinuate I am wrong. The food is not prepared fresh nor from local stores but the Tescos. Staff allowed bad behaviour from the above table, would now not support this establishment considering it's response to a bad experience and turning blame to it's customer.

Visited The Lounge last night with friends and cannot recommend it enough. We had the best evening at their RnB night. The food was amazing and the DJ had the whole restaurant up dancing.

Had my best friends hen do here (afternoon tea and drinks) and it was amazing, they were so helpful and accommodating before the hen do - I was so impressed! Then the venue is beautifully decorated and the food was so yummy and again they were so accommodating and lovely! 10/10 experience, we loved it :)

Came down around lunch time to do some work and have some lunch it was amazing. I had a feta salad bowl which was delicious and so fresh. Perfect atmosphere to do some work and the girls were super friendly and made me feel so welcome - will definitely be coming back!

Beautiful afternoon tea Graze Tables delivered and set up at home to celebrate our daughters 21st. The food, particularly the cakes and scones were delicious. Michelle was great, keeping in contact with us on the run up to the event and on the day arrived in plenty of time to arrange the food before our guests arrived. Excellent food and service, highly recommend. :)

Omg this place is amazing. Recommended by Fiona who works there. Everything was right, the staff fun and friendly and an amazing choice of gin ! Dance floor was the icing on the cake. Massively recommend!

Amazing find in Berkhamsted for girls night out or a date night. Great cocktails, music, and staff that make the place it is, especially Fiona behind the bar.

Such a brilliant evening at The Lounge - cocktails and graze boards were absolutely delicious, interior so chic and the attention to detail and service levels impossible to fault. This was our first visit and we can't wait to go back already. Just perfect!

Outrageously expensive. Went for brunch with my mum and ordered the pancake platter between two. This included 6 small shop bought butterscotch pancakes, a few bits of streaky bacon and a few berries for £24! It would hardly fill one person let alone to share for two. Mentioned to staff that it was extremely expensive for what it is, causing them to become rude towards us. The place has a nice atmosphere but the prices are very unreasonable.

Absolutely recommend! We went for the cabaret evening last Saturday, the service, food and ambience were amazing! The staff were super helpful, friendly but not intrusive. The Graze menu, which as the name implies is based on graze boards, high quality, well sourced, well presented and reasonably priced, plus a great selection of wine to pair it with. The cabaret was a mixture of west end musicals, Disney and popular songs, it was as immersive as you wanted it to be, I got pretty involved! It’s like going to a party at your best friends house and playing all your favourite music, entertained by an extremely charismatic performer, who gauges the audiences appetite for getting involved and acts accordingly! Works for groups, works for couples, just works. Well done for bringing something fresh together, the concept works and Berkhamsted is better for it.

Michelle is a great host, she’s created a warm and buzzy environment to socialise or hold events in and the food is lovely. A perfect afternoon or evening venue. Thoroughly recommended!.

I’ve been meaning to visit for a long time and I wasn’t disappointed! A small group of us ended our night at The Lounge, next time we’ll start and end it there! The staff were lovely and friendly especially Fiona behind the bar. The DJ was playing some great tunes. Can’t wait to come back for the food or to one of their themed evenings!

As a family (1 years to 70+) between 7 - 13 of us, we have visited the lounge several times for many different occasions and the team always go above and beyond. The food is always amazing and allergies always catered for. We always leave with a goodie bag and there is such much food. What ever your occasion and who ever you’re taking they will have a wonderful time. Highly recommend.

I’m a little bit late in posting this review, but a few weeks back in February 2023, The Lounge by Graze Life helped my friends and I host the loveliest baby shower for my best friend. They were super accommodating, friendly and so helpful. The graze boards they provided were lovely and they helped me with ordering everything we’d for 16 guests. Highly recommend this place for breakfast/brunch/lunch. A nice alternative to the standard 3 course meal you can get elsewhere.

Went on a Sunday afternoon and was really excited as graze boards are right up my street! But sadly, it was disappointing, we were the only ones in there with 4 staff and the service was SO slow, the staff seemed nice but they would benefit from being more attentive, we felt like we were interrupting them when we asked for more drinks etc, we then had to call them back over to ask where drinks were and if we could order food (which also took a long time to arrive!). We ordered a ‘make your own’ savoury board and the ‘brunch board for 2’. The pastries were stale like they had been left and were smaller than I expected, plus there was only 3 croissants between 2 people which seemed odd. When we asked about the dry pastries they did bring out some fresh ones but sadly they were still stale. Likewise, on the savoury board the bread was rock hard but cold where it had obviously been heated but not serviced quickly enough and as it was sourdough it had had time to dry. Portion sizes were small and food not fresh enough to warrant the Individual price tag of items. Hopefully as they business grows & gets leaner service and the freshness of the food will become better.

Visited yesterday for brunch with a friend, so pleased I came across when I was looking for places to have brunch in Berkhampstead. Staff were polite and friendly. Food was absolutely lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience here. I look forward to bringing my 10 year old daughter here as she was jealous of the photos of the goodies we had. I came into berko last Saturday and found this lively bar with a DJ, was greeted at the door by a lovely lady named Fiona, she recommended we try some of the cocktails which we did, the margarita was amazing !! I’ll definitely be back

The Lounge is my no.1 favourite place in Berkhamsted. From catch ups while enjoying a delicious graze board, to cocktails, dancing and music from great DJ’s…we always have a brilliant time! Michelle and her team are fantastic and they should be very proud. I’ll be visiting again very soon!

We hired the lounge for our daughters 1st birthday which was a resounding success. Michelle took the time to understand what we were looking for and really tailored our event and package so it was just right. There was plenty of delicious food, cake and drinks and we all had a fab time. Thank you to you and the team!

We came here for a Sunday brunch, being attracted by the mouth-watering pictures of their platters online. Unfortunately, we didn’t have a good experience for several reasons: The staff: the staff seemed pretty disengaged, we had to ask whether we can order, no one came by the table to ask whether we wanted more drinks, the dirty plates were not cleared.. And all this despite the restaurant only having three guests at the time, and the two staff ladies sitting by the bar chatting and you felt like you disrupted them when you asked for another drink. The wait time: we arrived at 12:10, ordered around 12:30 and got food at 13:15. For brunch that is an unusually long wait. We ordered two starters and a breakfast plate, and all three items arrived at once. It would have make a lot more sense to bring them out after another, instead of such a long wait. The food: while the food looks stunning, the taste is average and the croissant was very dry, it tasted like it was 3+ days old. The burrata was nice. The reviews: I have the sense that a lot of 5 star the reviews on Google are fake, most of the reviewers only have 1-5 reviews, which is a pretty good indication.

In fact 0 stars I couldn’t post this without giving a star…So I dined here recently with friends The food was dry, no dips or dressings to go with it . Had to ask for balsamic vinegar. basic ham and cheese with a few olives on a cheeseboard with a couple of strawberries and blueberries to serve 6 people!! £45 per head an absolute rip off . Will definitely not be going there again. Not to mention finding the male waiter in the ladies sitting on the toilet with the door unlocked

I had my 30th birthday private party at the lounge the day before New Year’s Eve. To say Michelle was accommodating was an understatement. The party went amazing, the graze boards were lovely and Michelle went above and beyond on the night to make sure all my guests were happy. My twin and I celebrated our 40th birthday in the Lounge in Berkhamsted. The table was beautifully set up with extra attention to detail. The area was cosy and felt private even though there were other people in the bar. The staff were friendly and attentive but yet left our company to enjoy the evening. It was a perfect setting as our guests were mostly drinking, still ensuring a lot of nibbles were available. Highly recommend!

I organised a large group social here after trying it a few times. After lots of questions (by me!) we decided that private hire was the best option. The ladies were fantastic. When we arrived, the graze table was beautifully set up with everything I asked for and the place was beautifully decorated (as it always is). The ladies behind the bar were amazing, incredibly friendly and polite. I would highly recommend this place as a walk in or private hire. I don't think it will be our last time here. It's fantastic to have somewhere locally that is different from everything else on the high street. Thank you for a wonderful night ladies!

What a great night at the lounge I had last night from the amazing food to the atmosphere. The food was so fresh and tasty. The dj and drum player got everyone up dancing and having the best time. Michelle was a delight going around socialising. I highly recommend going.

Unigue arrangement of the food and good service !

Friendly and approachable owner who was attentive and kept on her staff to make sure they were equally as attentive! The graze boards all over instagram came to life in a restaurant / eaterie / casual dining setting in a prime location on the high street. Music selection of 90s r’n’b suited us just fine but also, might not be to everyone’s taste or particularly suit the style of the place but each to their own! Good selection of boards, price point a tad high but people get away with it and also pay for it in Berko. Produce was good, Prosecco was flat unfortunately. As with most places, teenagers at their Saturday job may not spot that kind of thing but good service and replaced straight away. Great for a lunchtime snack or nibble.

Thank you for the excellent & efficient communication from Michelle and to Eva for arriving promptly to our home with a lovely friendly smile! She set up our table with a selection of fresh meats, bread, salads and fruit in no time at all and even put up with my husband’s singing in the background! We had around 40 friends and family for a post gathering following our daughter’s wedding the day before. The food was plentiful and fresh and everyone commented on how amazing it looked and tasted! Perfect to end a great weekend 😊 Thoroughly recommend Graze Life and will be visiting The Lounge at Graze Life very soon! Thank you 😊

Walked past many times and thought it look lovely. Went in today and was disappointed. Over £50 for 2 drinks (one non alchoholic) and a self made grazing board which all fitted on a medium sized plate. Very small portions of each thing we chose and would not say it was the best cheese, hummus etc I've ever had. We left still feeling pretty hungry. Won't be going back or recommending to anyone.

The Gem of Berkhamsted!! everyone needs to go!!! Me and my friend have attended two R&B nights and what a night, the food is spectacular and the music is on point and as for Michelle and her amazing team they sure know how to throw a party. I can’t wait for my next visit !!!

After booking with GrazeLife in 2019 for our 2021 wedding we had frequent clear communication from Michelle throughout including during the process of postponing to 2022 with no issues and lots of support that we were very grateful for! Michelle and her team were approachable kind and helpful, and so enthusiastic about our special day, they travelled a distance to set up for us on a large boat for the evening venue and all we can say is ‘WOW!’. We had a mix of the traditional graze, a kids platter and mixed in exotic fruit, pork pies and quiches. All the food was absolutely delicious, fresh and moreish! We were blown away by how stunning the display was as we’re our guests, all whom commented on how amazing the food was and took plates of snacks away with them! Thank you Michelle and GrazeLife for helping to make our day so special and memorable, we are over the moon and could not recommended you more highly!

We hired the venue for a private function, it was wonderful. Michelle and her team we fab and made sure the evening ran smoothly, food and drinks provided were perfect and enjoyed by all, nothing was to much trouble! Thank you x

Sadly, I was not impressed with the quality of the food and felt it was extremely bad value for money. It was very basic, bland and dry. Every single thing we ate looked like it had been opened from supermarket pre-packaged food and displayed beautifully on pretty wooden boards. The mixed selection of bread served, was just one type of bread, which was very crusty and tasted stale, they only gave 4 slices! When asked for more, they charged us for it! When we asked for some additional sauces to make the food taste better, we were surprised to see further charges on the bill at the end. For 2 boards (1 per person) and one glass of wine and one 0% beer our bill was £90! When we challenged this, I was given a very stern unfriendly response saying, we will not serve sauces without charging extra for it. I wish I had bought these items from the Tesco next door and enjoyed it in the park by the river instead. Apart from the food, the staff were generally friendly and polite in their service, maybe slightly slow. The ambience was lovely. And the decor was tasteful.

Absolutely applauding service ! Daughters book a table for my birthday treat. Walked in to be told they wasn’t serving, then when we said the table was booked we was told to sit down . A hour later still sitting waiting for food to come to the table …. Ended up walking out and eating somewhere else, would never go there again or recommend

It was our first visit to Graze tonight it definitely won’t be our last, we celebrated my daughters 12th birthday and treated her and her sister to the Pastry platter there were audible noises of appreciation! The service was fantastic, the restaurant decor and ambience was wonderful, I highly recommend a visit and we’ll be back soon 🙂

Michelle and her team have been providing our business lunches for the last couple of months and every graze box has just been incredible from the presentation to the taste and even catering to all our dietary requirements. Have visited twice in the last 3 months and both times the food and service has been wonderful ! It’s such a beautiful restaurant with a lovely feel to it. We had a bespoke graze board which looked and tasted amazing . Such Lovely staff with friendly service and delicious food would 100% recommend to any one visiting the area !

We were very excited to have received a voucher to come here for Christmas and the venue itself is so lovely really nicely decorated and the staff couldn’t have been nicer. We thought we would go all out and do the build your own platter thinking it would be too big for the table based on the prices. We were a little disappointed when a small square platter (which was piled with stuff don’t get me wrong) arrived. But given that we had paid £8 for a little pile of chorizo which was sliced straight off a ring and had had nothing else done to it, £8 for a pile of very watery prawns which were leaking into all the other food and again had no seasoning or anything added to them clearly just straight out the packet and £8 for 4 small peppers stuffed with ricotta (totalling £2 a pepper!!!) we thought it was a little on the expensive side. We also paid £7 for a pile of Parma ham which was scrunched up into a ball and near impossible to take slices off it. The three cheeses we got totalled nearly £17 which again for what we got seemed a little mean given that you would normally pay an average of £7 for a cheeseboard at a restaurant with probably about the same amount of cheese on it. There were some lovely additional touches on the board including fresh fruit and the bread and cracker portions we received were very generous. We ended up paying around £70 for our platter in the end which my partner was so shocked about when we went to pay he nearly choked. We hadn’t added up as we ordered just selected things we liked the sound of but upon reflection of what we received and what we paid, we felt that the pricing was a bit off and the products didn’t match up to these values.
