The Lounge in Peterborough

The most extortionate prices for such mediocre food! How are you charging £10.00 for a chicken burger, £3.00 for a can of soft drink and £2.50 for a bottle of PLASTIC volvic water? When you ask for tap water it’s refused? What do you wash that ugly face with then Volvic no chance! You clearly don’t care about customer service and have no regard for competitive pricing because your income streams are probably many so you have little care for. A customer facing business!

Incredible food. Ordered via just eat and it came super quick and hot! Perfect after a long day at work. My only negative is that it comes with very weak plastic cutlery (would prefer wooden or something more solid) but the food flavour was amazing. Would order again!

Poor shisha, poor food, poor customer service, management enjoy talking down on minors and younger customers when they've got a valid point and love to call their "valued" customers liars. If you love your shisha soapy, your food cold, and your younger family members being belittled and shouted at for voicing a valid and respectful opinion, by all means visit this place... Manager has a clear ego problem and loves to remind everyone, including his Staff and customers, that he is a gangster... Better of spending your money on your own shisha and ordering a take out, shameful lounge staining peterborough!

First of all, we traveled from Cambridge to visit this lounge. There were 12 of us, along with kids who were 16 and over, and our plan was to enjoy Shisha while having food. However, they rejected us and insisted that the kids must eat inside the restaurants, while all the adults are allowed to go to the back. Unhappy with this, we decided to try our luck again and informed them that if the kids couldn't sit and eat in the lounge, we would leave. The assistant manager, whose English proficiency was poor, then took one of us upstairs and offered a private room for £250, Moreover, he promised that if our total bill exceeded £250, he would deduct that amount, making it an attractive proposition. With this offer, we thought it was a good idea and agreed to proceed. As a result, we all opted for mix grills to reach the £250 spending mark. Unfortunately, the food we received was disappointing, as it was served cold and didn't taste very nice. Despite this, we ordered plenty of drinks to meet the spending requirement, anticipating that we would only pay for the Shisha, food, and drinks. However, our high hopes were shattered when we discovered that the assistant manager had misled us. The Shisha we ordered, priced at £15 each, was charged at an inflated rate of £25 each. Furthermore, the promised deduction of £250 from the venue fee didn't materialize; instead, they only subtracted £150. Consequently, our total bill skyrocketed to £410, leaving us feeling scammed and deceived. Frustrated by this situation, we attempted to negotiate the price and voice our complaints about their unethical practices. Nevertheless, the manager emerged and adamantly insisted that we pay £420. We explained that the assistant manager had assured us otherwise, but he refused to believe our account. Instead, he shifted the blame onto us, claiming that we should have used common sense and understood their poorly explained terms. Adding to the distress, when one of the younger kids threatened to leave a negative review based on the terrible experience, the situation escalated with the manager trying to pick a fight. Throughout the entire encounter, both the manager and the assistant manager continued to spout nonsense and lie, attempting to deflect responsibility and hold us accountable for their miscommunication. In conclusion, I cannot recommend this place due to the unpleasant experience. The only redeeming aspect was the lady who served us, although she did forget a few drinks.

Poor management, dishonesty towards customers, and shifting blame for there mistakes. Serving cold food and charging £10 extra when you order an £15 pipe. Never coming here again.

15 pounds for 5 prawns, with no flavour at all . Way overpriced, overcooked prawns . Very disappointed 😞

Purchased cake from this place, they were not fresh.

Really tasty food and excellent service. The only thing that let it down for me ever so slightly, is the music playing in the background was a bit too loud. Also note, they only accept cash. So make sure you go with a fist full of dollars. 😉

Best food in Peterborough, good atmosphere, clean shisha and amazing service from staff!!

Service was good, atmosphere was okay, food was not worth mentioning. We ordered 6 steaks (3 medium rare, 3 medium well), but they all had an element of rare in them. They were huge, thick steaks but half of each steak was either under/over cooked. One of the steaks didn't even get eaten. I think the best option would have been to not pick a cook level and take it as it comes or drive to Leicester and go to a real steak place. Sorry guys. Fix up.

Lovely people at this place, we came in very late one night and they were very accommodating, never felt rushed to leave. The place is well maintained with a big outdoor tent at the back that was warm enough to sit despite a chilly night. Definitely recommend if you’re passing by or near the area .

Delicious food and reasonably priced! Lovely atmosphere for any occasion or even just going for a lunch/dinner. Mostly we were very pleased with the attention and service we received. Definitely going back again. Highly recommended!

This Spot is absolutely Brilliant, Came here for lunch with a few friends and all of us throughly enjoyed it. We ordered a mixture of meals . Grill Chicken , Mix Grill and Seabass. Along with Mojitos . Service was perfect . Waiters were respectful and very accommodating. They served us promptly and didn’t mind to go the extra mile in terms of service. FOOD WAS TOP. BRILLIANT RESTAURANT.

If you haven’t tried out there food yet , your missing out. There food is one of the best in Pboro, from a great menu to great service it’s truly a different experience. Healthy food all freshly cooked with a wide range of deserts and drinks. A must try if your looking for quality and something different.

Consistently good food when dining in, nice cosy ambience inside, the brothers who run the place are friendly & welcoming, the food is really good & there’s a great variety of dishes, ofcourse the whole menu is halal. Would highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Good halal place and the food is reasonable and serving size is good. We had chicken steak and lamb and mixed grill. Total bill for 6 adults and 2 kids was 80£ but no drinks. So overall pretty good.

I normally get desserts from here, but for the first time i tried the food and it was really really good. The food was fresh and flavourful. They do food platters and burgers. This is definitely my new favourite place for now. There are couple of good places in peterborough that do good food like this, and this is one of them.

Have epilepsy and suffer with sensory overload. Music was blaring out and had flashing led's. Asked if the music could be turned down a little. Staff were rude. Avoid if you have disabilities. They simply dont care.

The Lounge is good, lovely decor and relaxed atmosphere. Portion size seems to have taken a dip, dont get as much these days but the taste is good

Great place but the staff are pretty rude.

The review is for chicken pesto. In the order I received today I received chicken pesto without chicken, the sauce was thin and greasy. It was also hard to smell the pesto itself. I am very disappointed, especially since previously ordering the same dish, everything was flawless, the sauce was thick and creamy with large chunks of chicken. Price too high for the quality and portion.

Breakfast for two £25; food and drinks were very good; nice staff around; definitely recommend and would back in the future.

Great value for money. I've tried them several times and I think their lamb burger is an absolute winner.

We ordered a delivery on our last day in Peterborough. The steak was tough, overcooked and full of sinew. Could not eat it. All the chips were hard. The mixed grill was overdone and horrible. We binned the whole lot!

Love the prawns and mushroom sauce with rice. Never fail to impress.

We were passing through P’boro and came here on a friend’s recommendation. Great food (ordered mixed grills and sea bass) and great service - staff handled our allergy requirements well and were very helpful with our little baby too. Very impressed and highly recommended if you’re in the area.

I am from London and have lived all over England and giving 2 stars is generous. The meat was tough as old boots, the rice was plain, the oil from the chips was old and the chicken burger was bland.

Ordered on just eat. Great chips and onion rings, beef burger came undercooked, requested refund for the burger, they denied that it could possibly be undercooked even though I am staring right at it, rude and dismissive over phone throughout whole call.

Just popped in for a dessert, a delicious Ferrero Roche Waffle. I highly recommend specially to you that at this time want to eat something different from the usual take away. Definitely 5 stars

I accidentally put made an error with my address when I ordered from here and within the matter of seconds i got a phone call from a very polite gentleman asking for conformation of my address. I think that was very good service. My food came on time and also it was still hot which I liked very much. I would highly recommend people to order from here. They had great customer service and great food. I also ordered burger and chips and it was very well cooked and very well presented. I also ordered a ferero roche waffle and it was presented very well i really enjoyed it very much. Would definitely order from here again. 👌perfection!!!!!!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 10/10!!!!

Ordered takeaway, on Sunday night around 12midnight came quick but I had a missing order and I didn’t have time to call in or come in next day as I had work , came in on Friday with receipt asking for milkshake which cost me £6.20, and got told it’s too late can’t do nothing, even tho I was busy through the week. Nice customer service (sarcasm)

Quality food and enjoyable environment

This is not standard food it is amazing Albanian food. The steak and the mixed grill or something some people will not have tried before. Even with delivery and the place is certainly providing the food fresh and tasty restaurant good. The owners really care and you can see the young team working hard to make sure everyone is happy

Great place! I come here with friends and clients. They are really friendly and I must say the standard of the food is really 5 star in my opinion. The Lounge is genuinely one of the best food places in Peterborough. I myself am local to Peterborough and I really do struggle to find a place here that does food as wholesome and delicious as these guys. The portion sizes are huge and the quality of the food is amazing, especially the grills. You can tell they genuinely care about the food they put out! Their coffee and cakes are also great and the cornflake tart with custard is delicious. With regards to the shisha lounge at the back, they have a wide range of quality shisha flavours along with premium shisha pipes (and classic ones too). It’s extremely comfortable (for large group sizes also) and looks great too. The staff are extremely welcoming and helpful every time which makes for a great atmosphere. I visit here regularly and aside from the obvious pursuit of quality in whatever they do, the atmosphere created here makes The Lounge well worth every visit.

This is a superb place to eat and chill, great for families too!! The food and service here is literally impeccable and you won't be disappointed at all. Everything is cooked fresh and I've probably tried everything on the menu at some point. At the back they have a shisha lounge where you can relax with friends or by yourself. You'll have to come and try it to believe it!!! 100% the best place in town!!
