I went to the Lough Ran for my 40th with 7 friends and we had the most fabulous evening 😍. We decided to share lots of different dishes, there was so much choice..the chorizo was divine and the cheese and meat platters so tasty, beautifully presented and perfect for sharing. It's ran by a family who were so hospitable and couldn't do enough for us, so attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was great fun and interiors really stylish, and great music too! Myself and all my friends couldn't recommend it enough 😍.

Met a friend for a few drinks and something to eat, lovely interior, food and service. Had a cheese board, nachos and chorizo and a recommended bottle of wine. Staff all friendly and prices very reasonable

They kindly hosted us for a private party. Lovely atmosphere, lovely food (including a special request for corned beef pie), great service. Will definitely be there again. Great for a drink when you're passing by. And their tapas is great

Visited on a Sunday. The restaurant is beautiful and the decor is fantastic. We were greeted and seated and chose a couple of tapas each. The food was fantastic, we had chorizo in a red wine sauce, prawn pil pil, with beautiful fresh bread. Padron peppers and the croquettes which came in four different flavours, whist our son had Mac and cheese bites and halloumi fries. The cost was very reasonable and I would highly recommend! Fantastic local restaurant, I shall definitely be back!

Great little spot with lovely food and great service, would recommend as one of the best eats i've tried so far in north shields. Will be back with a bottle of wine next time since it's BYOB

Lovely chilled bistro where the focus is very much on the quality of the ingredients and the amazing sourdough bases. The pizza I had (Five) was probably the best one I’ve had outside of Naples. Friendly and efficient waitress. The only thing that could be improved on would be a better wine list (many of the wines on the board were not available) and on the sides list, the option of a salad alongside the amazing potato dishes would be great.

We went for our usual coffee and toastie today to find that the shop is closing, I can't believe it, the boys have worked so hard to make a thriving busines, loved by many. So sad to see it it go, they will be sorely missed, We wish them all the best going forward, all my best, so sorry we could'nt have said goodbye in person from Marilyn and Bill ( the cancer treatment lady and her husband ) xxxx

as the name implies it is a dog-friendly cafe for humans, they do an all-day breakfast and sandwiches also cakes, for dogs they do various dog treats and ice cream. they will also organise a doggie birthday party, ask them for details. there is a playpen for dogs
