Sugar and Slice in North Tyneside

Lovely chilled bistro where the focus is very much on the quality of the ingredients and the amazing sourdough bases. The pizza I had (Five) was probably the best one I’ve had outside of Naples. Friendly and efficient waitress. The only thing that could be improved on would be a better wine list (many of the wines on the board were not available) and on the sides list, the option of a salad alongside the amazing potato dishes would be great.

Me And my partner came here for a spontaneous date night… and we were not disappointed! The most friendly atmosphere in a restaurant we have ever experienced. The Lovely waitress megan was so kind and considerate making sure every single one of our needs was met! The name of the chef was Anthony and his food was incredible! Without a doubt the best pizza in Whitley bay in the vibeyist setting as-well! We will be back and with all our friends!

Popped in for an early dinner, thought we’d try somewhere new and found friendly staff and a real wood fired pizza oven. The pizzas were sensational, we shared a side of the roast potatoes with garlic, I’ll get my own next time, they were so good. Lovely place

I actually do not like pizza.. I once had a pizza in Portugal back in the 80s which was superb.. As a result every other pizza I had has been poor in comparison.. Until a few years ago I had a fantastic pizza in sorrento... I have to say that the pizza here is up there... I love the sourdough base and the fact that you don't have to have the horrible tomato sauce base (unless you want) Great drinks too.. Without doubt this is the best pizza place locally.. We will definitely return
