Great outside area good atmosphere wood recommend 👍

Waited for a good 5mins at the empty bar before realising the Barmaid was sat outside the pub using her mobile phone! Then the barrel needed changing but instead of serving us she served a group of motorcyclists who had just turned up instead!

This is my first time visiting this charming and quaint establishment in the village of Croston.😀😀

Great local pub with good quality beers

This is a brilliant little community pub! No food but if you want a warm atmosphere and friendly faces this is the place. Everyone is welcomed and as ‘out of towners’ this is our new local! Live performers on every Sunday. Thank you Elaine and the team.

Got served quickly in a lovely old pub with loads of history. Me and my friend had 2 different cask ales. My friend had Timothy Taylors, it wasn't good. It was fizzy and not creamy like cask should be. I had the Nelson pale ale, it was worse, it was sour and I think had been on for over a week. About £8.80 for 2 pints of undrinkable beer. This pub relys heavily on Lager drinkers and food sales. Looking around the bar it's definitely a lager drinkers pub, such a shame in such a beautiful building. If you are a real ale fan go to the Black Horse around the corner, similar age pub, the beer is brilliant and £6.60 for 2 pints of excellent beer.

Quick stop off very chilled place

Super setting in Croston, big car park, pleasant staff, big beer garden, lovely day, had a lager outside nice, went inside asked for menu, we haven't got one but pointing to wall you can have a pizza at 2 if you want? Missing the target here there weren't many in know why now, bit silly really.

Called in whilst on a (motor) bike ride with my lad. Reasonably busy for early Saturday afternoon. Nice snug atmosphere, warm welcome and a cold crisp pint. Sat outdoors and had a natter with the locals..... will be calling in again.

Went in Christmas eve 6adults and 2children very good atmosphere and friendly we only went in for a drink so not sure about food

Friendly pub hosting Boxing Day "Morris dancers" Stone the Crows. Tasty hot mulled wine.

Very friendly staff and drinks at realistic prices. Visited early Sunday evening to see rock guitarist Locals made us very welcome. Will be pleased to recommend and visit again.

Pass by occasionally and love this pub. Landlord usually on draught. Fantastic!

This old fashioned drinkers pub has got a good selection of real ales and a nice cosy atmosphere and it's popular with locals.

Lovely pub, but seemed expensive. Pint of beer, pint of lager, two cups of tea and a bag of crisps £18.10.

This pub was amazing. We had intentions of trying other places, this place was that good we stayed the whole day drinking. Brilliant beer, warm welcome and Brilliant locals

Dog friendly real ale pub. Landlord, John and landlady, Elaine are brilliant hosts. Brilliant outdoor seating area, children's play area and Sunday afternoon singer. Real fires and cosy in winter. Highly recommend

Great Family Pub, live entertainment!

Good country pub with Great choice of real beers and Lagers and a large outdoor seating area. They don't serve food but you can order a takeaway pizza from the Italian opposite and the landlord is happy for you to eat it in the beer garden.

Great little village pub. My Daughter and Son-in-law will soon be residing in Croston so they are very blessed. Good band on too. Started off with 'Hotel California' and carried on from there.

Cosy and in the centre of Croston. Open fires in winter. Welcoming and friendly. Well frequented by the locals. Recommended.
