Went here for a family reunion, we had an amazing time and staff were lovely

An inexpensive venue with a bar that met the need for my mother's wake.

Today my family had a birthday celebration for my 30 year old brother in law and we paid a lot to spend our party there . Soon or later the room started filling up with many people . around 12pm we ended the party and began to help clean we popped the balloons and picked up any remainings of them . We were all helping and cleaning up any rubbish or food that wasn’t eaten . Then my mom had explained that earlier on a member of staff told her when she was cleaning up to put chairs at the side of the wall stacked and to have the tables all put nicely together but before we was about to leave the same member of staff came to me and my family and started complaining to my mom that we have to hoover up . But my mom didn’t know they have cleaning equipment .Also my mom struggles with phibro and has severe back pain so my mom told me as we got back if she wasn’t in pain she would of hoovered “ then the lady started yelling at us saying if you want a 50% percent profit you have to have the room left as you found it . But in fact the room was perfectly fine(the same as it was when we came). It made us really upset and she was screaming at us saying things like “ now my shift is going to be even longer” or things like “this is the worst party we have ever had here now we have to clean the floor” and watching her stand there yelling at my mom made me angry this place sucks I wish we just went somewhere else and the fact that I watched my mom walking around picking up all the cups and plates for the lady to say “YOU DIDNT HELP AT ALL!” DONT RECOMMEND

it is a friendky venue. The staff are very friendly and welcoming it has a great sized function room

Attended on a Saturday night for a celebration of life. The function room is well situated but the car park needs a rethink

Absolutely fantastic. I met black Bob. Aka big Bob. And Armani. Bloody good crack them boys are. Can't wait too go back there again 💯💥💥💥😎

Nice place to hold small intimate gatherings for family..

Function room is nice and a small dance area with stage for MC/DJ etc the rest of the areas needs refurbishing. Small car park

Excellent atmosphere, Caroline and her family run a steady ship. Beers are always good quality

visit the local for the first time and I could see it as great potential

Absolutely beautiful inside,don't be put off by the plain outside,once your inside,it's amazing...very fit for birthday parties christenings and wedding receptions....The Local keeps Smethwick on the map...10/10

Good customer service with friendly staff

They now do a table service. You are not allowed to crowd the bar. The staff work very hard maintaining this. My 1st time out to a public gathering and I felt safe.
