Bitterly disappointed with this pub tonight. Joined my family for a pint to celebrate my great uncle David in his passing only to be met with rude and disrespectful customer service. I appreciate that some of us were merry and quite loud. However, after losing someone, it’s nice to let of some steam especially in a home town like Pontypridd. Spent a pretty penny only to be heckled by the locals and the staff making petty comments joining in. If you’re looking for a friendly communal pub, then I would avoid this place. Do better.

Good friendly place small but cosy and fabulous beer garden

You can't beat The Llan for a decent pint, and there's always a good atmosphere. Proper local pub, but always welcoming. Sat in the beer garden for the rare occasion that we had some sun!

Pub was buzzing with people talking and merrily drinking. No music , no karaoke no food ,just friends chatting. Great staff . Typical old fashion pub , more of these please.

A proper pub. Good beer, no food (but the barman let us bring in a takeaway from the local chippy) and a fabulous indoor/outdoor toilet. Oh and the beer garden is really good too. Located under a busy flyover, but really nice just the same!!!

Me, the family and my dog had a wonderful time at the live music night in the beer garden! The musicians were all so friendly and talented. It was nice to have something a little different in the area.

Sorry ! Small beginers back street pub! Pint of lager with a bigger head than mine! Very small untidy looking pub, barman didn't even speak to me apart from, "yes please" before serving. Seats were loose if you moved they went with you. Toilets were like the old outhouse style, I noticed as the urine was running through the trough it seem to disappear half way to to drain. Sorry not one of my faves'.

Superb real ales and great service

Had my first legal pint in here in 1972. Though I no longer live in the area I called in today . Same character new owners of course but the very same warm welcome.

Exellent outdoor seating area and always friendly to dogs. A very good selection of local and real ales. Cider selection is good. Staff are excwllent and outside area is at seat service with record book for customers. Excellent local pub always worth a visit.

Best pub in Pontypridd, genuine old boozer. Quality beers, don't expect chique, no blaring music. When in Pontypridd give it a visit, you won't be disappointed.

Maybe we went on a bad night, but the atmosphere was poor and we weren't made to feel welcome. The "regulars" stopped their conversation in the bar to ogle the women in the group. Ale is kept far too cold too

Great little pub with a choice of 4 real ales when I visited. I thought the one I had was well kept although it was a stated cloudy wheat ale.

Proper pub! No frills but great welcome and friendly atmosphere. Always a good selection of real ales and ciders but still provides run of the mill lagers etc. No food served on premises but you are welcome to purchase and eat food from the nearby takeaways

Whenever I visit this pub I always think it could do so much better. Needs more craft beer bottles on sale. The barman kindly lit the fire for us which was good.

Proper pub with great choices of beer and tasty pork scratching's. You will find at least 3 Real Ales on the bar and you will always get a chat with another customer if you want one in the Bar, friendly place with 2 side rooms quiet snug great for the Sunday Papers and a Lounge with TV. That means NO TV in the Bar, I like that :)
