Excellent quality Sunday dinner, very reasonably priced and friendly attentive staff. Thoroughly recommend.

Went to the Poacher for Sunday lunch after reading the good reviews, and we were not disappointed. Excellent food, generous portions, piping hot, lovely friendly staff and very reasonable prices. 5 stars all round.

Nicely received, cozy room, nice and quiet. Good bed and good shower. We had a delicious meal in the evening and were also spoiled in the morning. If we're in the area, we'll definitely go back.

Nice clean rooms and breakfast was lovely, literally couldn't fault it. The attitude of the owner I could though. Very sharp and what I'd describe as an angry head teacher. Wouldn't stay there again for that reason

Booked for Mothers day lunch, there was 10 of us including a baby. The staff were brilliant, the table was set lovely and with a high chair. We pre ordered the food with us being a large group. The food came out piping hot, fresh and absolutely delicious. We will definitely be returning. Thank you for making today special.

An outstanding meal - burger and half a rack of ribs. The service and beer selection are brilliant, and the Inn overall is great.

Traditional village B&B/Inn it is what it is and a good place to stay and eat. Liked · Stayed here as a quick break and an ideal base to visit Lincoln. A traditional B&B/Inn, the bedroom was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The dinner was excellent, compliments to the chef for the chorizo /prawns and chicken satay starters followed by the main course/s of venison stew and salmon & prawn linguini. All very reasonably priced. As is the choice of wines. A nice large bar area for pre or post dinner drinks. We found the hosts to be very personable and helpful. The full English Breakfast was huge in portion size and very nice. Breakfast was ordered the night before so was served promptly at our requested time. Ample safe parking away from the main road. Village is pleasant for a stroll with a newsagent across the road and a petrol station a couple of minutes walk for any supplies required. Should we visit Lincoln again, would have no hesitation in staying here again.

I wanted to go to somewhere special to celebrate my husband's special birthday. On a recommendation we decided to visit the Lincolnshire Poacher in Metheringham on spec to see what it was like. After what I can only describe as exceptional food and service we booked for the special occasion. We were not disappointed . Pippa had decorated the table prior to our visit with decorations I had left with her, plus added a few of her own. Again the food and service was excellent. I would recommend 100% and will definitely be visiting again. All home cooked, good portion sizes and very good value. Thank you for making our day extra special. Highly recommended

Once again an excellent meal at The Poacher. Food always lovely and very filling. Pippa had decorated for valentines and it looked really nice and added to the ocassion. Lovely atmosphere, good staff and great food. Thank you.

Decided to go to the restaurant as a walk in as we were in the village House sitting. The staff were quite rude and stated that they could not accommodate us as they had a party of 15 in, Although the bar area was totally empty and was informed I should have used the phone.This is the second visit in the past year and same attitude and no food again' So on our return in June will avoid and go somewhere else.
