The Lime Tree in Peterborough

This place is absolutely disgusting don't go there. Absolutely new years eve. They are definitely out in reaping the money in and not showing any respect for the customers. Only looking after the locals don't waste your monies not a nice place at all. A really crap place. Please not good reviews are from long term locals. They are a big rip off place.

can't really say much about food as didn't order any but we came here on NYE and one of our party is disabled with only 1 arm and was shoved off a seat by a patron. after the incident the landlord who was at the time performing decided to jump off stage and get aggressively in his face with another person like it was his fault. if the seat was taken a kind word goes a long way. so ultimately would say stay far away as seems like the landlords have regulars that always will come first.

Been coming to the Lime Tree for over 20 years and have used the function room a couple of times before for various reasons. Had my Dad's wake here this week and the service we recieved from all the staff and the owners was phenomenal. They were kind, patient and understanding, helped set up the food and helped clean up. The new refurbishment has made the old place sparkle again and the addition of the pool tables and dart boards adds a nice touch. Couldn't recommend them more. Thank you for everything.

Came for the Club with no name punk night and to see the pub following it's refurbishment. Had a great time, decent prices and beer choices, will be back again!

Disabled person told to move away from sitting on a chair at the bar with friends. Only to be told that the regulars were fine. Not a great place to spend your cash if your disabled as they don't respect the patrons that wish to spend it.

We went in for a quick drink.. It was a spur of the moment decision, so the pub being quiet was to be expected.. It was nice to have friendly staff as well..

What can I say, a nice welcome return to a local I had a couple of spells as my local... Great atmosphere great band and catching up with some old friends perfect night. hopefully good times have returned 😃🍺

We are here today serving bbq for a wedding reception..

Went in earlier for an afternoon drink on my own. I was accosted 4 times by a drunk idiot, the last time he came over to me I told him I was just trying to have a quiet drink etc, the lady serving behind the bar at the time saw the whole thing and was smiling and practically laughing about it, she didn't attempt to ask him to leave me alone. Is a woman not allowed to go and sit and have a drink without being harrased, I would have appreciated the staff at least ask him to leave me alone. I didn't even finish my drink. Would never step foot in the place again

Visited 24/07 at 20:30 and found the pub closed. Willing to revisit and give them another try, then adjust the stars.

We called into the Lime Tree pub for a drink. We were served quickly by the landlady. She was friendly and efficient.

Great land lady ...go's out her way to put on stuff that locals asked for then they dont turn up... Shame on them

Went to celebrate a good friends recovery from a horrible motorbike crash had a fantastic night and he is doing brilliant can't ask for more than that.

Great staff and comfortable surroundings. I was walking the dog and felt tired and thirsty do we popped in for an orange juice. We sat on the outdoor seating area and watched the world go by. I didn't feel awkward being alone and was made very welcome by the friendly staff.

So we came here for a few drinks after a nearby funeral. May as well have stayed at the crematorium as it was warmer! Understand COVID regulations but in my opinion in an empty pub you should make an effort & appreciate people spending money. Table service was lame & all round poor customer service. Can’t say about food but looking at toilets/surroundings I wouldn’t have bothered anyway. Filthy destitute place that I wouldn’t recommend to anyone!

Very family friendly and a good local. We popped in on a Sunday lunch time and were made to feel very welcome.

Nice pub, beer tastes good. Wouldn't accept a Scottish bank note to buy a drink, which is disappointing. I thought we had dealt with these sorts of issues years ago - it's hardly foreign currency!

This is a proper old-school boozer, and such places are in short supply nowadays, particularly in Peterborough. There is a regular crowd, the familiar people, but also the infrequent visitor. I come here fairly regularly Some nights it is heaving. Others, it is merely moderately busy, but it certainly demonstrates that there are still people in my home town who want to go to a pub to drink, and eat crisps and peanuts, rather than some poncy, overpriced pub grub. Friendly locals, jukebox, football on the TV, darts, the obligatory gambler machine, even crib (!) It sells different lagers as well. There are no overt wrong 'uns amongst the regulars, so it feels safe. A proper, old-school boozer, where folks go to drink alcohol and have fun.

Great afternoon in pub garden, hidden gem. Will be back!
