New ownership. Incredibly friendly, clean and I nice atmosphere. I've been back since and will be again. Great family pub with good food too.

A group of us from Rochester took a trip on a narrow boat, through the tunnels along the canal with a most informative speaker onboard. We followed this with a look around the very well stocked London Canal Museum, prior to going along the Regents Canal and finding a restaurant to enjoy a much anticipated lunch. The food was very welcome indeed but a little cool as we were by the open windows. However, Alex, the Manager, made us very welcome and accommodated our group in order that we could all sit together. Full marks to The Lighterman restaurant for making us so welcome.

I came in for a late night drink and was one of the last customers of the evening. Owner was the best. Gave some samples of local brews before I put in an order. Super accommodating and personable. Hi

My colleague and I enjoyed a lovely meal, a large section of cakes, the main issue is trying to decide which homemade cake to choose.

Its like sitting in an old fashioned book shop in a nursing home with OAP chairs, a broken piano (shame), lots of antique old furniture and books to read. A quaint place. Coffee and sandwiches a bit

You cannot sell cheburek a frozen one and sell it as for a real one. Pancakes still frozen inside. And it was a hair in a soup. Poor poor poor. And I've been your loyal customer. You lost me. 0 stars
