Went in during the Weekend with my partner and we absolutely loved the pizzas, the girl on the bar was very nice . Will come back!!

Came here for lunch and it was absolutely delightful, would recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat

Found this little pub tucked in Islington by chance, very friendly service and lovely pies on offer, will deffo return next time am in the area

I’ve been in some pubs with lousy service but this was beyond lousy. Firstly the place was filthy and the toilets were disgusting. We had ordered drinks and food in the app. Time 5:45pm on a Wednesday. 6pm no sign of any drinks. Went to the bar… “oh you ordered let me go look… oh sorry we had run out of till roll so no order came through.I can serve your drinks now but we don’t have any food…. Nothing.. we are waiting for the night staff to arrive .. I’m just going off shift,sorry I can’t say if/when your food night arrive.” “Ok forget it just refund my card.” “Oh I don’t know how to do that I’ll just give you cash from the till. WE LEFT

Excellent pie at 2pm, exactly what we wanted in a small, quiet traditional pub. Great service, too, and sensibly priced.

Went here with a couple of friends before a gig at union chapel. Service from Claudia was fantastic and rob the manager made the best pies

Visited on Friday 7th October for some dinner before going on to a concert locally. Waste £10 on drinks before trying to order food only to be told the kitchen was closed. At 6:45pm on Friday. Won’t be back. Dreadful waste of time and money.

Absolutely sensational little pub in Islington. Brilliant cocktails, even better music and the best staff ever!!!!!

We hired the upstairs function room for a CD launch party — it's a lovely room, good atmosphere, nice lighting options, and a private bar which was manned throughout the booking. We played tracks from our CD over the sound system, which was easy to set up and great sound. We could set up the room however we wanted it in terms of chairs, tables, etc... Also really affordable with a refundable deposit and then a minimum spend arrangements (by far the lowest minimum-spend figure we found for a private function room in the area after a lot of research!). No beer taps upstairs so we had to go downstairs if we wanted a pint, but not the end of the world. Also, you kind of have to know where you're going to find the room, but we printed off our own signs and they were happy for us to put these up to help people find their way to the room. Staff were very friendly and helpful getting everything set up for us, and serving on the bar during the evening. Would highly recommend for a private event of anything from 20 to 40/50 people.

We were made very welcome by Kish. He was very attentive and knowledgable about all the beers. My husband was in his element!!

Lovely pub. Pies are the best in the area, 2 for 1 cocktails all day never hurts and overall the atmosphere is really nice. Friendly staff and good music too.

Lovely hidden gem in the heart of islington. Great atmosphere and yeh staff were lovely too. Didn’t have time to try a pie but they looked amazing, will be back soon!

This pub is great if you and your friends are looking for a quiet drink. My favourite part is the secret garden they have out the back 🤩

A pub that is in a great location and should have everything going for it BUT the toilets are vile, the beer is average and the staff are rude. Went in there fort a few beers. Couple of pints in and the staff get to last orders; one for the road and then at 11:00 lights come on and the bouncers are standing over us and telling us to leave. Been drinking for 30 years and never seen anything like it. Chucked out with 1/2 a pint at 11:01 by rude aggressive bouncers. Fuming!!!!

Lovely pub, great service and atmosphere, the food Is delicious and definitely will be back again, will recommend to friends when they come up for a shopping day, and need a spot of lunch!

Outstanding pub, absolutely perfect for a nice quiet sit down from the hustle and bustle of Upper Street, with a great selection of draught beers and spirits. A sprawling menu for the pie fans out there too. And the staff need no mention, as they are all chatty, friendly, welcoming and always ready to listen to you after an exhausting day in London. Highly recommended!

Sunday 28th November, around 3:30pm. Nice enough pub, but £7.20 for a pint of Neck Oil. I queried the price, but was told it was correct. Will not return.

Lovely pub with excellent pies and great 2-4-1 cocktails. Happy hour is all day which was great! Welcoming staff and a lovely atmosphere will definitely be returning soon!!

We came in on a whim as our ,now old, favourite cocktail bar was closed. This is our new favourite place. It was not too busy and with good music and the staff were so lovely. Happy hour is all day everyday and the range of cocktails is amazing. Can’t wait to come back on Wednesday for open mic night!

Came in with a group of friends, enjoyed the rest of the night. Superb cocktails and pies!! Left with a full stomach and a smile on my face.

A decent pub with friendly helpful staff (plus an interesting name). A reasonable selection of drinks at reasonable prices for Islington. It is kept clean and the staff are constantly clearing the tables. The place is quite well decorated and appears welcoming.

A wanna-be hiptery style bar, btwn pub and bar style. There´s enough room for sitting but it´s too dark.

Visité la biblioteca con mi padre para tomar una copa antes del concierto mientras esperaba en el área, pensando que este lugar sería mejor que el Sky Sports Bar adyacente a la estación de metro. Stopped in for a drink when early for a gig nearby. No handpumps.... no handpumps, this is London. Leffe on tap - ordered but not served in a Leffe glass!! Price? £6.60 per pint- absolutely disgusting. Appalled

No lo recomendaría en absoluto. Un montón de otros bares / pubs mucho mejores cerca.

Had the most amazing food here. Lovely red Thai curry with rice. My friends also enjoyed their food. Walk past wetherspoons and keep walking until you see it, don't miss it.

I ordered a Pad Thai on Deliveroo and really enjoyed eating it in front of a movie! I will definitely re-order soon but this time by going to the Library as I live two blocks away.

The only pub I have ever been to where they had someone sitting in the toilet playing guitar and singing (not badly either)!!! A bit shabby but decent drinks and as I said great entertainment. Need I say more?

Selection of keg products expensive. Had to wait for the barman to finish texting. Halfway through he went back to finishing with his phone. Understandably quiet. Shame the music wasn't. Didn't bother asking for the pint to be topped up as his phone was bleeping.

Nice enough place to go for a drink, staff were polite but the food was a bit below-par and it seemed to be catering for a certain demographic at the expense of everyone else

Nunca va a ganar premios, pero no es un mal pub. La selección de cerveza de barril era buena, si bastante estándar (Peroni, Becks, Stella, etc). El personal era amable y el pub estaba limpio. No pedir comida pero las bebidas eran el precio estándar para esta parte de la ciudad (4 libras/5 una pinta). Situado justo al lado de la estación de islington, así Highbury y perfecto para una copa antes o después de ir a otro sitio.

This place is a shambles. The drinks are expensive and the selection of draught beers is poor. While we were in the staff turned off the main lights so it was very difficult to see anything making the atmosphere very dour indeed. The toilets are an utter disgrace.

While waiting for a show at Union Chapel, we made the mistake of visiting The Library for a drink. Being brought up in London and having lived and worked in London for over 60 years I can honestly say this is typical of the worst sort of pub anyone can visit in London. The floors and tables are dirty; the food looks scanky; the bar staff are bored and unmotivated; the place is dark, the stairs to the toilets are steep and a trip hazzard in the gloom; the toilets are scanky... the drinks are expensive - £8 for a small glass of wine that would perhaps have tasted better a day before...and finally the beer - or lack of it. Bottled beer only masquerading as "ale" - pull the other one!... this i sthe system that lazy bar owners have started to use so that they dont need the staff or facilities to serve any type of real ale or beer (remember ale is NOT beer - look it up)... what a sad apology for a pub. If you are a Londoner - you know enough to find an alternative - if you are a tourist - look in your guide book and avoid this place...you can do a lot lot better.

Gran bar que sirve una variedad de cócteles. Fuimos durante una hora feliz donde uno de los camareros hicieron un montón de trucos de lujo, muy impresionante! Have been throwing up ever since I ate Chicken Pad Thai from their menu on Tuesday evening. The pub is so dark you can hardly see what you are eating or drinking (and presumably the dirt. They serve no "proper" beers on tap. Missed half the gig over at the Union Tavern that I had come to London to see because I was so ill.

AVOID at all costs...! Tonight we were seating outside, and it was my fault as i took a party of people there after dinner and we were assaulted and abused by a beggar/homeless/druggie/God knows..., and yet the management refused to call the Police and called my friend drunk...! Meanwhile, the perpetrator and real aggressor could have been larking nearby to attack us in the meanwhile upon leaving which we have duly done so...eventually, we reported it to the Police, but they seem to be very busy in that stretch, so the policy I guess is, let it be and whatever happens....

I attended this establishment on Friday 4th Dec prior to a gig at the Union Chapel, we approached a table to sit down and order food, we were almost pushed out of the way by who we later found out was the Manager? He said it was reserved. We stated we needed a table for 3 people and were pointed to the other end of the pub where only 3 high stools were available, we accepted this, decided what we would eat and went to the bar, we waited & waited with another customer to be served. The 'Manager' was talking to 2 men at the bar whilst the barman was serving. He could see us waiting and asked 'the Boss' if he was serving as did another customer but he replied 'no, not at the moment' and carried on his conversation. We were all shocked at this and the other customer and my party walked out in disgust. I stated to the 'Manager' that he had just lost 2 customers to which he replied 'bye'!

Great for a livener before a gig at the church across the street, and the bar staff looked like they knew how to rustle up a cocktail. There's seating outside too.

We were having a few drinks upstairs and the bartender with a bandage on his hand decided our half empty drinks were finished and threw them away. Upon questioning about why he had done that, he was very rude and abrasive. He offered 'one sip' of the drink but was clearly being provocative. Why should we be involved in an argument for his mistake?

Waiter really nice and gooooood ambient! Good beer not that cheap but average! Fully sggest it! Opening time wrong on trip advisor!

I've been here plenty of times. It's a quirky & enjoyable pub. The staff are friendly, and you can take your drinks outside, too. Look out for the old books with menus hidden inside, the cocktails named after books, and the interesting artwork on the walls that you can buy prints of. The Library is definitely worth a visit, conveniently located near Highbury corner on Upper Street. 5*

definitely didn't expect the thai menu when i ate at the library, seems like a typical english bar/pub but the thai is great. all home made and authentic - loads to choose from the menu and every member of my party loved their food, went back the week after too!

I was so shocked when I asked for the menu here and it was Thai food, I definitely didn't have high expectations for it because it just seems like a normal pub. But the food is amazing!! So cheap as well, but authentic and lovely. Been back again since!

I go hear sometimes to enjoy a nice live music session 'Phoebe from friends but with more talent!' plus get away from the stress of modern day 'City Lie'.Friendly bar staff, wide choice of drinks - Baileys, Disarrano and Belvedere were the choices for the evening.Good local crowd. Brilliant low mood lighting and just all round comfortable vibe.I recommend!

Dark but nice bar. Opened late so good for a stop on an Upper Street bar crawl. Not as wanky as some of the other Upper Street bars.

Lovely venue but that's about it.One member of staff who was good.One who was new and then the other two forgot how to smile.We ordered food which seems like the bar rents there kitchen out out.A nice looking Thai menu.We ordered starters which took around 40 minutes to turn up. When they did everything was fried in old oil which wasn't hot enough.So everything tasted burnt. The calamari would of been nice but it was cold.When I spoke with the lady dealing with the food I don't think she understood what I was saying or how to deal with it.Regarding the drinks the first cocktail had bits floating in it so they remade it. The second one did too but by this time I just picked the bits out myself as it took a while.Not a good start to the evening.I would of rather gone to the weatherspoons a few doors along as at least you get a standard no frills product at a respectable price.I don't think I will be going back

We popped into this bar a couple of weeks ago and found a real gem. The bartender made us some really great cocktails, my boyfriend loves drinking Old Fashioned's but he's rarely as happy with them as he was here. Somewhat inevitably (for me) I lost my bag with purse, Ipad and phone in it; we left a contact number in case somebody handed it. Less than an hr later we got a phone call saying it had been found, when i collected it everything was in it, i was made up. So refreshing to know there are still places and people that can be both honest and accomplished.
