A lovely, luxurious afternoon tea. The staff were very warm and attentive. They have a really talented pastry kitchen, the afternoon tea itself was very impressive. Beautiful ambience, very comfortable. They have the largest seleciton of Assouline books I've ever seen in one place.

Went for afternoon tea with a friend, the food was amazing. Congratulations to the chef. However the whole afternoon was let down by the service. We bought a bottle of Moet which was put away from us in a cooler and someone said they will check on us and fill our glasses regularly. That was the last we saw of them. I got up and ask someone to fill our glasses which they did, they disappeared again so my friend got up and filled our glasses and then later I had to get up to do it!!! Couldn’t even bring it near to us as it was in a heavy container on a stand. We then had to ask someone to clear our plates followed later by having to get up again and ask for our bill. Amazingly they had added a discretionary service charge which I refused to pay. The service was a real let down and ruined our afternoon. Choose this place over so many others and wished I hadn’t done. 😩

Visited for an afternoon tea, which was a mixed bag. All the food was delicious and it offered a large collection of different treats. When considering only the food, the place was amazing. However, tea was awful. It was brewed totally wrongly, like most British places seem to do. Don't let the menu fool you. They might have good leaves, but if brewed badly it doesn't help at all. A green jasmine tea was bitter as hell. Almost undrinkable. Also, service was otherwise friendly, but I had to wait ages for the bill. They had also added a 'discretionary service charge' to the bill, without prior warning or mention in the menu. Also, they charged a fortune for still water (price not in the menu, of course). I felt like I was scammed. I left disappointed despite enjoying the treats themselves.

We had a champagne afternoon tea here, we arrived early and the staff were accommodating of that. The food is all of a high standard. Staff are all really friendly however they do feel a little unorganised and perhaps not as attentive as you would expect. Nevertheless we would return for another afternoon tea for sure.

The atmosphere in this bar and restaurant is stunning, there is a calm and sophisticated vibe and I love the drink options. Staff are very attentive and friendly. I would recommend to anyone who would love to visit someone who would need a break away. Kobi had great customer service and helped me pick a delightful cocktail.

Honestly, I’ve been to many bars and many restaurants, nothing like customer service the way Kolbi does it! Very polite, very friendly, will carry on a conversation l, ladies you’re lucky!

Kobi is the man. Highly recommend relaxing by the bar and chatting football with Kobi. Kobi is very knowledgeable when it come to making and serving speciality drinks.

The Afternoon Tea is great fun, sparkling wine was good and the sandwiches, scones and cakes are absolutely amazing. The cakes are some of the best I’ve had, so light and the match of flavours are amazing, not too sweet.

Lovely food and drink. Superb staff. I take away a point for some of the music choices. It at times sounded like generic hectic pop. To me this bar is classy and a place to savour a full sensory experience. Perhaps cliché, but classic big band jazz might work? Oh, please folks, take a moment to observe the delightful French bartender. There's something mesmerising about watching him work. His dexterity and grace are wonderful to behold, and some of his movements remind of a performing magician or similar.

Had afternoon tea. Been to few in the city centre, this was by far the best. And unlimited tea, coffee, hot chocolate. Would definitely go back. Out waitress Stefania was very attentive

Me and my partner went to the Edwardian, hoping to have a quick drink and we ended staying for more than an hr. The drinks and the truffle popcorn were very nice but the staff made our stop feel more like an experience.Jon and his cocktail knowledge was fantastic. Just got back from having afternoon tea to celebrate my mum's birthday, we all enjoyed it. The sandwiches were made with different types of bread (sour cherry, rosemary and potato), buttermilk and apricot scones (lovely and fresh) and an assortment of lovely cakes. There's an assortment of teas to choose from so you're definitely spoilt for choice. The staff were excellent and very attentive, you couldn't ask for more. We will definitely be coming back here 😃🍰

Went for Afternoon Tea for Father's Day and boy did it not disappoint. 5* service and food. The selection of sandwiches and cakes were amazing. The staff were amazingly attentive. The look and feel of the room was great, felt very cosy and welcoming. You get what you pay for!

We went for the classic afternoon tea. We usually don't like the top dessert layer but this was the best one we ever had. The food was fresh. Scones just out of the over. The service was attentive but not overbearing which is the perfect balance. I would recommend it to try the alcoholic drinks too they had a great collection. Not many tea options but the ones we tried were very good quality with nice taste. A place we would definately re visit when they change the menu.

We have just had an amazing dining experience at The Library. The food was delicious, the service efficient and a special mention for Edoardo who was very attentive and made sure with my food allergies were accommodated. We will definitely be returning!

This was a first visit to The Library and seemed an g a concert at Bridgewater Hall. Unfortunately it was a very disappointing experience. The customer service was of a very poor standard. We visited for drinks and waited more than 30 mins for a drinks menu - none were available on tables or bar. Other customers received table service for bar menus and drinks delivery but after a further delay of 15 minutes I went to the bar to order as nobody came to take my order. I wasnt offered a tray or assistance to carry 4 drinks back to my table. I am more than happy to serve myself if everyone else is doing the same however this was not the case. Good customer service means treating all of your customers to the same high standard - unfortunately this was not my experience and would make me very reluctant to return.

The gentleman behind the bar couldnt have done enough to help when I asked for a certain type of wine! He went out of his way and even added little bits of fruit to make it sweeter :) Amazing service

Took a booking via a third party site and then cancelled it a few days later, saying the availability I was shown was 'in error'. Now struggling to get a new booking elsewhere because things have filled up in the meantime. I understand there's a degree of complexity in interfacing with external platforms (I research this for a living) but it's disappointing nonetheless. If you can't ensure reliable data sharing then keep your operations in house.
