Tipsy afternoon tea birthday..... Firstly the staff were superb with service and looking after any needs we had as a party of 7 Out came the food (£24.50 pp) served in some what I would describe as scruffy mini wooden bookcases that consisted of 5 finger sandwiches (that were ok and fresh) 2 small scones with cream and jam (scones definitely not fresh) and 2 small cakes the size of a small bun and very dry . . . You did get a small cocktail included (which was nice) but the food was definitely not worth the price . If you look at the pictures advertised bare in mind that is for 2 people @£49 and you don't get quite as much .

What a magic experience, thank you Spencer and Amy for hosting us. Very polite. First class experience. Accommodated our needs and adjusted things to suit our group. So pleased, good price too. Will be back.

Can't recommend this bar enough. Overall a great night out, the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The drinks and food are high quality and delicious. The atmosphere is lovely and of course the view over the city makes it a lovely experience. The drinks menu is extensive as well as including plenty of non alcoholic drinks and really well priced.

Great place for couples and groups to meet up pre or post dinner and theatre or for a cocktail evening out. Lovely atmosphere looking over the town centre with great atmosphere. The staff are friendly and attentive but not intrusive. Had a few great nights there.

The service was amazing!! The food was tasty, I almost went vegan after tasting the cauliflower crispy bites on the menu! The members of staff kept checking on us to make sure we had all we needed. The Lexington zombie cocktail is a must order, especially if you like your drink with fire (literally).

We got an afternoon tea as a groupon we won in a raffle. We received a 5 star service and 5 star food, just the right amount to satisfy us on a lunchtime. The decor is stylish and modern, and the atmosphere is very relaxing. We would recommend anyone to try this out, we are also intrigued by the opportunity to learn how to mix our own cocktails next time we come.

I’ve been several times over the past few months and the service is honestly the best you can hope for, with quick, professional courteous bartenders and mixologists. The drinks are consistently top tier with original cocktails being added to the menu all the time. I would highly recommend to others.

Upon entering the staff went above and beyond, Amy made me feel so welcomed straight away and had some amazing drink recommendations, My wife got a bit chilly and a blanket was brought over to keep her warm, could not have asked more more 10/10 place if your looking for a top tier cocktail and engaging and professional staff.

A small group of us went for drinks the other week. The room was decorated beautifully. It smelled amazing. The few mocktails I had were delicious. Every experience with staff throughout the hotel was faultless. Sensational service and skill shown by Sim in particular. It was a 10/10 experience, looking forward to going again in the future.

Only popped in for a couple of drinks with a friend but staff were so welcoming and personable that we stayed all night. Special shout out to Amy and Simeon for the impeccable service and top tier banter. Drink recommendations were impeccable and they are the very definition of service with a smile! I know the Hilton already has an amazing reputation for first class service, but their service exceeded all expectations. We will definitely be returning to try the rest of the cocktails that they have to recommend!

Came here for an afternoon tea for a Mother’s Day celebration. I was very disappointed at the experience. The seating was more suitable for drinking than dining. Four of us crammed in one awkward booth with below knee height table. There was not enough room for the food and drinks. Two out of the four tea cups were dirty and had to ask for clean teacups twice. Tea was served in Twinning tea bags. At this price point, I’d expect loose tea leafs. The afternoon tea itself was uneditable. Sandwiches were dry and bland. Cakes were average. The cake stand looks tired and dated. The server was trying his best, but overall an terrible experience and won’t be back.

I’m leaving a bad review without visiting the establishment because their communication and following through is appalling for what’s supposed to be a higher end place. I was after buying a gift voucher for a loved one for Xmas. I submitted by details on their website and it said someone should be in touch. Days passed. Nothing. So, did it again. Nothing. Called them. Hilton answered and said they’d passed me on to The Lexington. No answer. (Several times I attempted). Someone eventually did. She took my name and mobile number and said she’d pass it on to Sales. Never got a callback. That was about 5 days ago. Fyi my background and current line of work is hospitality. Poor communication. Do better.

Service with a smile. Baby shower tea, a bit pricey £20+ for a few small sandwiches, small cakes and cocktail drink (no choice, you get what your given). Staff were lovely but not much for cost. You provide your own decorations and have to take them with you when you leave.

Attended a wedding renewal reception earlier this month had a great time. Staff were polite and professional. One staff member Sara was very helpful and polite. Great service would definitely go back.

I had my wedding party at the Lexington and it was such a lovely night and memorable night the atmosphere was brilliant, James the general manager was amazing from start to finish and Sara was such a good help throughout the night, amazing service!!!

First visit with wife and daughter, daughters nineteenth birthday. Table reservation hadn't been organised and the clientel was not as expected. Jury is out...

Venue is beautiful. Espresso martini's were not the best I've tasted but other cocktails were nice. £9 and £10 each Had the Canapés which were tasty but tiny. Don't go hungry !

What a disappointment. I was super excited for my birthday drinks. I thought about the Lexington as I knew this bar as being high class and a great atmosphere.... It is not! Awful atmosphere. Expensive drinks and not even anyone to come and greet us. I hope that I will not be charged £5 for the reservation. There was no reservation for the evening. Not happy at all!!!! Take it back to the days when the doorman met us and greeted us, there was table service and everything was lovely! CHANGE IT!!!!! You've lost me... And everyone I know. I hope this fails as a bar.

Went on works night out. Bar service was good staff very polite.only Down side was the buffet very disappointing. Would not visit again.

We used to visit The Lexington often before COVID and they always had a great food menu and cocktails. We visited today and although the venue was immaculate and the staff were lovely, the lack of adequate food choices on the menu meant we had one drink and left. I’m sure even during the tough times of the pandemic, a sandwich and fries style offering could be added to the very limited menu of pizza or olives! If this is temporary and improves as covid eases, we will be sure to return as the atmosphere is nice and it’s really stylish and we enjoy it
