Rude waitress eggs Benedict, eggs were cold and rock solid, Hollandaise cold and congealed. Not great.

My Daughter and her two friends visited The lemon Tree yesterday (25/7/23) for lunch and what can I say they were so impressed with the food and service you gave them as you treated them like they were adults and not just teenagers. THANK YOU 😊🙏

Ordered a vegetarian breakfast, I didn’t want the egg, so opted for another ‘vegetarian’ sausage. I don’t usually eat meat alternatives as I don’t really like the texture, however wasn’t much choice & was trying not to be picky in front of my relative. As usual I covered breakfast in pepper & HP sauce, half way through, I thought this sausage taste / feels like meat (pork) which I have not eaten in over 12 years 😭 😱 My brother tried & said yes it is… I got extremely upset & was being sick in the toilet for over 40 mins - the waitress apologised the manager did not even come over to our table - ppl were moaning they’d ordered 30 mins ago, some tables of three ppl had only received one meal. Ppl were moaning they’d not been served at all 🤪 it wasn’t even that busy ! Absolutely diabolical - Avoid ! Edit: One sausage was vegetarian the one you put on my plate after I asked for two which you missed off (re not having the fried egg) so you took plate back to kitchen added another sausage & it was pork ! The breakfast was then cold, & furthermore so was the coffee ! I had to ask the waitress to bring hot water to add to the cold coffee 🙁 I know the difference between vegetarian sausage & pork sausage 😢

Stopped by an old haunt "The Black Olive 1" for breakfast, only to find out that's it's under new ownership and name. The menu is still fairly extensive and looks similar. I wanted eggs royale and they're still on the menu and as well prepared as before. Now I'll have to revisit to try out my other menu favourites to see how the new chef fares 😊

I visit the Lemon Tree weekly with my daughter in law and young grandson. We are always made welcome by the very friendly staff, and feel very much at home there. This is a family run business, and well worth a visit. The menu is varied and the food is excellent. We dine there in the evening as a family when possible.

Amazing family run cafe and restaurant. We soon became regular costumers as the quality of the product is outstanding and the service impeccable. The stuff is incredibly friendly and always willing to accommodate for dietary requirements. Couldn’t recommend highly enough. Wish you all the best success with your business. Thank you.

We beautiful Bruschetta and mushrooms in a creamy sauce for started and wow we were almost too full for our mains, I had a lovely pasta dish and they had fresh muscles and a lovely pollo dish....stunning. Great cider too....its so nice and relaxed there in the evening, you sit outside and watch people go past...the actual restaurant is stunningly attractive too. Open till 10pm...go visit.

Service was ok at best but really overpriced £24 for garlic bread, halloumi, and olives all of those very small starter plates so portions were small. Not very friendly service I mean I've been unwell for the last year and just wanted to find a small friendly cafe that was local ill stick to the ones I already know. I think just inexperienced. But there was no smiling or fun vibe.

SO GRIM!! waited over half an hour for this - £10.95 for out of date salmon and leaves!!…I don’t know how to reply to your response but bit of a weak argument I have to say. I don’t think asking for no feta in my meal is asking for something that is “not on the menu”?. Pretty sure u agreed to us not paying too. Perhaps apologise to your customers and check your sources of products.

Very small portion, ordered a burger which was in a cheap looking bun and had about 10 chips, not well presented e.g. no salad garnish. Will need to rectify these issues to get customers coming back

Unexpectedly popped in for lunch and we had a pizza's & coke. Was one of the most authentic pizza's I've had outside of Italy and was was large too! Service was excellent and staff friendly. It wasn't too busy lunchtime so we were able to grab a nice table by the fully opened front and enjoyed the lovely day. The place was pet friendly (outside seating). Will definitely be comming back as the steak looks appetising!

Stopped in after noticing this cute little café. I had the chicken caesar salad and my partner had a margherita pizza and we were very happy with our dishes! The portions were ideal and the drinks were prompt and chilled to perfection, not to mention the friendly and enthusiastic staff. I’ve seen some reviews of this place before leaving this one and implore you to give it a try regardless! As it’s brand new, aren’t some tiny growing pains expected? Give them some grace I’d say🙏🏽🙏🏽 Give them a chance and you too will make this your new go-to spot like we have. You’re doing great Lemon Tree!!! 👍🏽👍🏽

Very disappointed. A couple of months ago, a favourite cafe/restaurant, the Black Olive, in Hampton Hill closed down. It has been redecorated and has now opened under new management under the name the Lemon Tree. It has been open a couple few weeks. So we tried it today for the first time and sadly, the last time. Firstly, never trust a cafe that is completely empty at 1pm in a busy place like Hampton Hill. Secondly, the service was slow considering there was no one else in there! Waitress took a while to ask us what we wanted and instead of, as is usual in most places, got our drinks sorted whilst we read the menu, took both drink and food order together. We then had to wait a while for the drinks to arrive and my tea was pretty much luke warm. We then waited quite a while for our meals to arrive. This was because some other people arrived and the waitress was serving them. We both ordered burgers and fries but I asked for mine to be served without the bun. Having waited quite a while the food arrived. The chips were rubbery which means they had been cooked then left a while before being brought to the table. And guess what? Yep, my burger was in a bun! We told the waitress that the chips were not good enough and she removed them with a promise to get fresh ones. I then said that I actually didn't want the bun, so she took my plate away and left Andrew's. The cook/manager then came out and said the waitress didn't understand my problem as her English is not very good! I explained to him and just said I didn't want the bun. New fries arrived but not my burger, so 10 minutes later I asked what was happening. The waitress said that the cook was making me a fresh burger. I said that wasn't necessary, just remove the bun! (I should have done that myself in the first place)! By this time our fresh chips and Andrew's burger were cold! Nice people but clearly they can't cope and it looks like the local residents have spotted that and have voted with their feet. This once busy cafe is now failing and I suspect it won't be long before it closes..........

Visited here today, and won't hurry back. Ordered buttermilk pancakes with fruit for my granddaughter. What I received was 4 small, thin drop scones, they looked like the ones you buy in a supermarket, which had been defrosted in a microwave. They were hard and rubbery. I told the waitress, who took them away and brought a replacement. They weren't much better, and at £7.95 they were a rip off. The coffee was OK, but nothing special. The new owners need to up their game if they want to stay in business. I won't be returning.

Fantastic service and food - they have just opened very recently but I can already tell this is going to become a Hampton Hill staple! Will definitely visit again.

The sourdough sandwiches are decent, but maybe a little too much lettuce in the filling. Tasted a little bit "empty". Good deal regardless and nice service on a cute street.

No vinegar which was annoying, tomato sauce all empty, this was at 17:00 just as they opened. Service was good and food was good
