We had a great meal here on Sunday 20/10/2024 in the evening. The service was great. Lovely team especially Devon, who made a lot of effort for my partner’s birthday. The food was very nice and well presented.

Na teleurgesteld te zijn bij San Juan, even verderop in de straat, bij toeval terecht gekomen bij the Laundrette. Service een dikke 10! Het personeel gaf ons het gevoel dat er geen haast was, dit hebben we de afgelopen week in Engeland nog niet eerder meegemaakt. Overal heerst een gevoel van haast, snel je drankje en maaltijd naar binnen proppen en wegwezen. Nou hier niet. We hebben heerlijk een wijntje gedronken en wat hapjes gegeten op het terras. In een zeer prettige sfeer. Enig nadeel is dat je er bij het afrekenen achterkomt dat er al een vrij aanzienlijk bedrag aan service in de prijs wordt meegerekend. We hadden in gedachten om een flinke fooi te geven, dat hebben we hierdoor nagelaten. Echter is dit het enige verbeterpuntje.

It’s always lovely eating here. The atmosphere and staff are great. The food and service here is really good, and not too pricy either. The team always go out of their way to make eating there a comfortable and pleasurable experience. We had a really good night and the music and tempo is just right. Well done team especially Devon. You never disappoint.

Devon was the most amazing waiter that ive ever had and made our time so enjoyable he was lovely and made our time so enjoyable ❤️

Food is nice, but can be expensive based on previous visit and this visit. I spent £90 for 3 adults and 2 children (and the children were ordering from a kid's menu). Service very much depends on the person serving you. All staff are nice, the woman I saw today was lovely but some are more attentive than others, especially if you are in a back corner (previous visit).

The food was delicious. The servers Sophie K and Devan were beyond helpful, as were the kitchen. I am on a ridiculously restricted diet at the moment and nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

I have been waiting a while to try this much hyped venue, and today we got a chance. Arrived at about 2pm and the young lady at the desk offered us an outside table which was not bad even in the freezing manchester conditions. The atmosphere outside is buzzing, the area is covered top and sides and the heaters add a pleasing, comfortable warmth. Menu is simple, pricy but has a good selection. We picked our starters and mains, now all we had to do was wait for some one to take our order. Well, we waited, and waited, and waited, while we waited waited and waited, we watched as several members of staff went round the tables asking diners if everything was OK if they needed anything else, and we watch as the tables were served their food. As we waited, waited and waited, we watched the tables next to us get served, we waited as we watched these tables get second drinks orders, we waited while each member of staff walked past us, we waited as we asked for someone's attention and we waited as we got ignored as if we were invisible. After 20 minutes of waiting, waiting and waiting, I said to my wife, let's give them one more chance.. that chance came and went when the table infront of us received their food, ordered more drinks and the staff member who was no more that 2 feet away from us ignored us again and walked off. Finally as we walked out we were greated by an elderly member of the team who for the first time asked if we needed anything, and as we explained how we waited, waited and waited, the manager arrived. To be fair the manager handled the situation well, but the excuses didn't justify the experience. Excuse 1: the girl on the desk is new, it's only her second shift. Sadly, as much as I sympathise with any new team member, it's not her fault, it's the restaurants fault for putting a new, inexperienced member of staff on the front line, moreso on probably their busiest day of the week. Excuse 2: it's very busy. Again, that's a poor excuse, being busy cannot explain customers being served while others are ignored. Again, I admire the manager stepping up, she even offered us to be resat and free drinks with our meal. The problem is, we raised a concern not to get anything free, but to highlight the failure of one of the key factors any restaurant should focus on, the experience. Many people visit restaurants and have a great experience but mediocre food, these customers normally return and give the place a second chance. Then you have those who visit and have a bad expeience and great food, most of them would not return, and in our case we had a poor experience that resulted in walking out without experiencing the food. Let's now put the competition into perspective, we crossed the road and on entering the lead Station we were sat down, handed menus, specials explained, drinks ordered and within 5 minutes food ordered. And all this is a place just as, if not busier than The launderette.

Absolutely lovely experience all round!! Devon was there to greet us on entry and he ensured that we had everything we needed. He was extremely friendly but professional. Devon went above and beyond to ensure our experience was a positive one; amending our booking to include another diner (at the very last minute on a busy Friday night), checking we were warm enough (and bringing us an extra heater) and providing his knowledge re the menu without being overbearing. The food was absolutely delicious. Will definitely be coming back soon!!

Every time I come here I have a five star experience. The staff are so friendly but not over bearing and the food is absolutely spot on, really good quality. Gorgeous wine and cocktails too. Big shout out to Devon (I think that was his name?) Who served me and my boyfriend, he was just fantastic and made our evening all the more enjoyable ☺️

Amazing food, specifically the lamb pizza. The lasagne was also great. The staff were really helpful and friendly when customers made a mistake with their own order. Would highly recommend!

An excellent all-around experience. Customer service was brilliant they even made me a fresh lemonade drink. The food was divine and so tasty. The sharing platter was enough for three of us and worth the money. I had the Korean pizza, and I was full quickly and was able to take it away.

Called in for a meal on the Saturday evening. A very busy place, booking might be advised. Had a couple of drinks to wash the food down.

This is the place to be, had a great chicken salad, the extra £5 to add chicken was a bit heavy. Nevertheless a lovely lunch, would definitely return. Staff were great too.

The food was fatty and most of it cold or not cooked got put next to a table for 2 ...5 people sat round it they got asked to leave next people turnrd up with a dog slavered all over my sons clothing the owner had bought dog bones it..found a much better eating house in cholton.not impressed ..very overated

Top quality food and really friendly service. We had a lovely mid week lunch at The Laundrette - the food was absolutely delicious (recommend the lamb pizza - so tasty and very different to anything I've had elsewhere) and the service was spot on - friendly and attentive without feeling like we were being rushed (in fact we spent the best part of 2.5 hours eating and chatting). The last time I went to The Laundrette was ten years ago - I won't be leaving it that long this time!

First time properly in Manchester and thought me and my partner would give this a try. Can’t recommend it enough! Great food, great prices and great service. Definitely will be coming back!

Great food and excellent service. Chris was great - very attentive, very knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent recommendations. One of our party was vegan and there was plenty of choice on the menu. We will definitely be back.

Had an amazing time. The food was filling and delicious. The cocktails were the highlight with unique presentation and perfect flavours.

We had great roasts on Sunday. Kiera was absolutely fantastic, looked like she was running everything almost single-handedly without any negative impact on service. Love launderette.

The food was really good and they have a lot of options here. They usually play music pretty loud so if you want to go somewhere quiet it's probably not here. I wasn't wowed but I enjoyed the meal.

Staff are awesome, lovely atmosphere. Unfortunately had one of the saddest roasts I've ever had, think I could have got a better one at spoons. Beef overdone and everything was just bland. Maybe roasts aren't their thing as the other food looked decent. Had chicken wings they were okay, bit on the small side but okay. Will deffo come back for drinks and a snack but not a roast!

Really lovely local feeling place, great atmosphere on a Friday night. After a long drive it was the tonic everyone needed. Clearly they place very high emphasis on customer service which was impeccable. Sophie was a star throughout, would definitely come again.

May I just say from the moment we stepped in Emma our waitress was amazing, she was a breath of fresh air and couldn't do enough for us we sat near the bar and the Mrs loved her bloody mary lol will be back very soon wonderful place

Wasn’t sure what to expect when we came across this when looking for somewhere to go while we were in Manchester for the weekend but couldn’t have asked for a better night! We were served by Kelly who was super friendly and knowledgeable and our food and drinks were amazing. Loved our pizzas and my favourite drink of the night was the day of the dead 😍 can’t wait to come back next time we’re in town!!

The drinks and food were lovely all the staff were really nice but Kelly really stuck out to our group she was absolutely brilliant great place to visit will definitely be back

Came to the Laundrette a few weeks ago, and had an amazing time! I'm vegan, and the options were excellent - I had hummus and Pitta which was fresh and delicious, a Koren cauliflower pizza which was excellent and finally a vegan brownie for dessert. The food was great, and I really appreciated that everything was marked out clearly on the menu as vegan or not, and the service from Kelly was brilliant - she was attentive, checking in to see if everything was okay or if there was anything else I needed, she was friendly and warm and I would definitely return for the service alone, highly recommend.

Considering that The Laundrette is No1 on Trip Advisor for Manchester, there was a lot of expectation which unfortunately was not met. Maybe our expectations were too high. Don't get me wrong, it was all very pleasant: food was fine and reasonably priced, cocktails were pleasant and quirky and the service was ok. There was however nothing exceptional about the whole evening. We were in Manchester for one night celebrating a birthday having travelled down from the Lake District. I'm sure there were plenty of places just as pleasant in town which would have saved us the journey out. All ok but nothing outstanding.

We met friends at Laundrette for cocktails. It was our first visit to Chorlton. We were looked after by Devon who was fantastic. Very knowledgeable about all of the cocktails. We will definitely be back very soon!

Four of us came for drinks on a Saturday afternoon in April. We had such a lovely experience and our waiter Devon was brilliant. Super helpful in helping us decide which cocktails and how lovely he was. We’ll definitely be back!

Had a lovely reunion with our friends and their kids all home from uni. We were here when they had their year 6 Prom! The service from Izzy and from Ben was fantastic, we were really looked after.

The food and drinks were amazing. Bloody Mary’s came in pints and burgers and starters were fab! Vegan friendly, great atmosphere!

A second trip to the Laundrette and it didn't disappoint. Here for Sunday lunch but only one of us had the roast beef, which was tender and plentiful. A lasagne and a pizza, plus desserts, were all great. Attentive service despite a busy lunchtime and we are already booked to eat here again in June. Looking forward to it already :))

Fun place. Great drinks. My wine spritzer was delicious and my husband’s vodka drink was served with cotton candy and shooting sparklers for his birthday… The food options were far tamer and truly delicious. We shared fish and chips as well as Thai salad with chicken. Dessert was a chocolate pizza …. All the servers and the owner were so proud of where they work. And…. It did used to be a laundry mat….

The atmoshere and theme of the restaurant is lovely. The menu is good and has options and it keeps in theme with the decor. The food was average overall. I ordered a margherita pizza and popcorn halloumi. The pizza had some flavour though it was very oily that carried over into the texture and flavour profile. The service was also average. Some staff were attentive and friendly others were less so. We had a long wait between getting drinks, ordering and getting the food. Had multiple staff ask if everything was okay in a 5 minute span which is a bit much when trying to enjoy food and talk with the people I had attended with. The cocktails were good and I recommend them if you are partial to one. The pricing is fair on the meals if the meal comes out on point. Drinks prices are a bit on the higher side but worth paying as the quality on them is high and they taste good. If you are in the area and looking for good atmosphere and drinks this could be a shout but there are other strong options for food close by.

Not worth the price. Food so underwhelming. The menu is anaemic with little choice. Ordered a lasagne, steak and fries. I asked for a well done steak which was burnt and overcooked. Not one drop of moisture. Clearly chef does not understand the difference between well done and charred. No flavour in food at all. Truffle fries were cold and tasteless. Lasagne was more or less lacking the meat. Garlic dough balls - no taste and burnt so one side is rock hard. Best part of meals was the mocha, hot chocolate and side salad which came with the steak. Food is just not that good. Not worth the £70+ bill really. I've eaten here before in the past, so something has definately changed for the worse.

We visited here for lunch recently after reading the reviews. Unfortunately the price does not match the quality and taste of the food. Sunday dinner £24 including cauliflower cheese (which was very watery)- average at best and £15 for macaroni cheese- not acceptable. Aranchini was...
