The Last post in Renfrewshire

Seats and carpets are a bit tired but the selection and prices are great. Table service with the app works well. Food is cheap but not bad.

Plate and glass was dirty. Quality of fish was poor. I couldn’t eat it.

Clueless gave me a hard time on the door for being "too drunk" I hadn't even started drinking

Great prices for both beers and basic meals. Very popular, handy for train. Staff friendly and kept bus. App ordering option.

Always jumping. Service is pretty slow unless you go at a really quiet time like a Monday morning or something. Usually loud and rowdy. Food is decent, good enough to go back.

It's an iconic Paisley pub. Service is shait food is shait but everyone loves it.

Mi amigo y yo estábamos en The Last Post tomando un par de copas, cuando terminamos nuestras copas nos fuimos, después de unos 5 minutos me di cuenta de que había dejado una bolsa de regalo debajo de la mesa, volví a encontrar que la bolsa se había ido, hablé con miembros del personal preguntando si se había entregado en la que no, Danny el gerente dijo que miraría a la cámara para ver quién se la había llevado, Bueno baja y he aquí que ve a alguien levantar la bolsa y alejarse con ella, Danny luego se registró en el inodoro por si se había tirado, pero no estaba allí, Danny revisó la cámara de nuevo para ver si la persona todavía estaba en el local, estaba, todavía en el local y Danny recuperó mi bolsa para mí. Estaba muy agradecido y aliviado. Me gustaría agradecer a Danny el gerente por hacer todo lo posible para investigar esta situación y devolverme mi bolsa de regalo, (que había sido abierta, pero no faltaba nada). Gracias de nuevo Kay.

Typical Weatherspoons with decent bar food and great selection of Ales & Lagers at fantastic prices.

Was good only popped in fir drink as meeting point

This was a superb pub for drinking, situated in a grand two floor building! The chandeliers are beautiful and Scottish frames on the wall are an entertaining addition, appreciated the separate rows of seating too. This seating is comfortable and counter is stylishly presented, I had a pint of Kopparberg at a clean table!

Been in before 9 pm when I was younger then 18 with no problem didn't let me in or use a valid PASS id card as the head guard was power tripping also said my friend showed attitude even tho they were trying to explain that it was before 9pm

Seems to be a bit run down but also extremely busy, typical weather spoons. Ok for quick bite and go

Bbq pizza not a lot of bbq sauce pizza was disgustin tasted off n bitter sauce with wings was very foosty garlic bread n wings wer ok

Can't fault the food and great value for money

I have been going to the last post in Paisley since it was converted from a post office many years ago as I worked in inchinnan road for 15 years but now retired and visit there on a regular basis for lunch and a couple of real ales.

Have to was really surprised as to how impressive I was with the burger and chips for the price.

Great heritage place. Wetherspoons food. Its value for money but its not a fine dine place as you can imagine. Otherwise great place!

If you're looking for a quick pint in a bar with no music to catch up with some mates it's ideal. Can be busy at times depending what's on in and around Paisley but can't beat the bang for buck of a weatherspoons

Fui a comer aquí la semana pasada. A mitad de mi comida subí a tomar una segunda copa. Al volver a mi mesa me di cuenta de que mi plato había sido movido a otra mesa! ¡Alguien más estaba sentado tomando una pinta! Un miembro del personal me preguntó si todo estaba bien y le dije que no, que mi comida había sido trasladada de la mesa en la que había estado sentado. Ella dijo oh y se alejó, no se ofreció disculpa. ¡Qué vergüenza! Parece que ahora no se puede dejar nada en las mesas.

If you've been in Paisley and you didn't visit "The Last Post" for a pint or a bite, you simply never been in Paisley.

Discrimination against persons with disabilities. Meeting my sister and her blind friend after arriving from Brussels for Christmas, the Manager told staff not to serve us bizarrely because we used the app (apparently only drunks do this, at least in Paisley, despite seeing many other tables being served) and our friend is blind and couldn’t walk without assistance (holding each other up to stand apparently) the supposed manager eventually allowed her poor staff to serve us after our clarifying that apps are in fact normal in 2024 and our friend is blind but the behaviour is disgraceful and disgusting. If a manager has a problem with a table they should say to the table directly, she could have confirmed no-one was drunk, in the end we got served our drinks but come on, total incompetence and not manager material. Ridiculous behaviour. The real issue is all the minors they obviously serve. Also the disabled toilet is disgusting. My sister is recovering from cancer and this whole experience was hideous and offensive.

The place was packed. We ordered burger and chips. There were plenty of tables with dirty glasses and crockery that hadn't been cleaned. Also the chips were cold. Not impressed. At all.

Busy but good food and efficient service.

It's a spoons. But close to Gilmour St so handy for when you miss your train by a bawhair and have 59 minutes to kill 😀

The last post is OK for a quick pint if you are catching a train and have some time to spare. Not had food here, but it looked pretty decent.

Larga espera para las tazas había un participio en una taza. Hamburguesa caliente y las patatas fritas justo como lo esperas. No había guisantes ni cebolla frita, solo hamburguesa con papas fritas.

Restaurant food is unique and very tasty. Also the lunch prices are very reasonable. Friendly service. Really very good.

The Last Post is a historic building in the centre of Paisley, once a Post Office, substitution of purchasing road tax for purchase of a pint, as the bar is where the Post office counter once was. The pub has a good selection of Ales, modern lagers, and Ciders. Food is fine, you get what you pay for. The toilets are clean and easily accessible if you need to sneak in for a quick pish.

Another great Spoons. Huge premises and always busy. My battered fish was over-fried on this visit but it's a small grumble really and it was still perfectly edible. Great beer as usual. Thank goodness for Spoons!!

Quite what's wrong about enjoying modestly priced drinks in a buzzy atmosphere I have no idea. The staff were all great; even downed tools and helped my daughter find her lost vape!

It's not bad, cheap and cheerful.

It was fine out for a few drinks with a mate , unfortunately a twat sat down next to us ,but staff were fine no smiles or a thanks .

Unbelievable value breakfast glad we did not pay extra at the hotel for breakfast. Found staff to be courteous and polite. Not fine dining, but good value for money. Edit: bonus, toilets are on the same level 👍

Great beer at the usual low price

Good prices and great selection of drinks during October festival, could do with a makeover as some bits a bit drab but friendly atmosphere.

Lovely breakfast and all the free coffee you want all day well worth it.

Have been a regular customer over the past 13 years and the level of service is so much better than it used to be. The quality and the number of staff is so much better

A very good place to people watch as the train station is literally located next door. Service was prompt, and I could hear the manager being courteous to the many customers. Typical spoons value.

Ahora esta es una crítica interesante para cualquiera interesado en el último post en paisley, bueno, ¿qué puedo decir gran lugar con 2 baños y múltiples opciones de asientos dentro y fuera, pero también un menú masivo que siento que es demasiado grande ahora solo entré por bebidas, pero venden muchos tipos de alimentos garantizados que es en su mayoría comida congelada, así que se fríe o se cocina en microondas, pero eso es lógica de todos modos tenía una Coca-Cola de dieta que era decente por el precio, pero siempre parece ocupado con la gente bebiendo alcohol por el olor del alcohol cuando entras, yo diría que era una revisión de gama media, así que 7 / 10 está bien, pero si buscas comida ir a otro lugar, pero si quieres bebidas baratas, este es tu lugar

Decent for a spoons! Wish they had a few more IPAs on draft but can't really complain. Does what it says on the tin.

Breakfast was lukewarm...egg was slightly undercooked...links deep fried in dirty oil....meh its Wetherspoons....I still ate it 😄 and I didn't die...Will I return 🤷‍♂️ if I need to.

Was a great example of a Spoons, nice inside, friendly staff and right next to the train station, will be coming back to this one!

Everything was great but lots of yobs in when I visited today, left as quickly as we could. Pity as they spoiled it for everyone there today.

Good wee pub in centre of Paisley.. Used to be Post office GPO..Handy location for anything town centre related..Plus next door to train station and taxi rank directly across pedestrian courtyard

I came here twice over a span of a week, both Saturdays. The first one was a lot less busy with older couples and friends, it was great! The second one was bubbling with youth and people talking and drinking, it was great too! The food is not expensive, it is really good, the quantity is quite big and the beers are tasty and also not expensive! Highly recommend!

Went in and got the pasta Alfredo when it came it looked as if it had just been threw on the plate so I asked the waitress if we could swap it for something else and she said I’ll see what we can do, 20 minutes later and she still hadn’t returned. left hungry.

It's a spoons, you know what your getting for your cheap drink. Staff and bouncers are nice and drink is cheaper than the spoons in Glasgow. Good place for pre drinks and opens til 1am on Friday and Saturday. I will never stop coming here

Food was grand. Not much of a atmosphere but that was probably due to the time we went.

Bit of a dump. Has a dirty feel to it and needs refreshed. Tables and toilets filthy.

This was a beautiful place, the food was nice and the drinks were cold enough, atmosphere was lovely and I really enjoyed my time and taking in the interior and design.... that is until one certain member off staff started accusing me of being drunk and not able to handle myself (despite explaining I was only drinking cola since i was driving), she then proceeded to keep on at me for drinking from the straw with the glass left on the table instead of picking it up- again after explaining that I have tremors from overactive thyroid among other issues, including nerve damage to my right hand from a dog bite many years ago (not that it's any of her business and I don't need to tell her my illnesses) she still kept on going on that I was drunk when clearly I wasn't and even presenting her with my disability card- it still wasn't good enough for her. So if you want chucked out because you can't lift a glass due to your hands shaking with tremors- it's the best place in town 🙄

Good place to have a snack and chat with friends. There are reasonable prices and a free atmosphere.

Ir mucho al último post para bebidas y comida los niveles de higiene no muy buenos de las mesas nunca se limpian ni se limpian. Estando allí el sábado arriba tuvimos que limpiar nuestra propia mesa pero nos movimos como la mesa estaba sucia fuimos a otra mesa que estaba ligeramente más limpia la camarera nos dio nuestros platos de comida pero nunca limpiamos mesa así que la comida en mesa sucia. Un tipo en realidad consiguió un paño y limpió su propia mesa. Todos tenían que limpiar sus propias mesas. Quejado al personal que acaba de decir que estaban ocupados, pero siempre están ocupados si despeja una mesa, ¿por qué no lo limpian al mismo tiempo que el personal nunca se disculpó? La comida era buena, pero la higiene muy muy pobre. Piensa que el personal necesita más capacitación en higiene básica.

El servicio fue terrible! Y la comida estaba mal cocida bajo tamaño y terrible ¡Despidan al cocinero! Nunca volveré a este vergonzoso desastre

Good location, but was ill after the food

Always busy, always a wait for table service. Spoons is spoons, so food is as expected. Drinks are good value as always.

Went in last night to meet friends,we had 1 order of drinks then on the second order got told we weren't to be served any 1 as 1 of us was drunk. That wasn't the case as that said person has a disability. To be drunk after 1 pint of carling really , I think not unless it's 50% proof. Absolutely shocking service from a kid that looks as though he should still be in school. I myself worked in spoons for over 15yrs and we got told in training we couldn't say someone was drunk as its discriminary as we don't that person has an illness etc. Worst was ppl who were clearly drunk were still being served .

I'd just like to thank the barman who found my debit card on Monday night and held onto it until I came back to ask about it. Saved me a lot of upset and hassle🫡top man

Came here for a few drinks with friends and family and got I’d 3 times since I have been here (I am 21) and the service I got was absolutely shocking. The table was disgusting and when we get our drinks they just sit the tray down and not take any glasses away and they don’t say anything.

Good place for a quick bite and drink.

Cozy place ! The bar can be visited by both company and family 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦 And also arrange a romantic dinner for two 👫 And even when you want to be alone or meet someone - this is the place that is suitable for conversations and communication 🍹🍷🥤

Good spoons! Right next to Glimour Street Station and near the Paisley Abbey and Town Hall. Great stop for a cheap meal and some pints.
