Delicious lunch, lite bite chicken korma curry was so delicious, a little more rice than actually needed, but never the less will certainly return.

A nice traditional local friendly staff and nice beer, will have to try a meal next time.

Used to go to this pub regularly , I went last Sunday with my friends. Mix grill looked fake incredibly coloured, they used too much red colouring. The rice was very plasticity and raw. We also ordered railway curry it was so incredibly thick that it looked like jelly absolutely shocking ! I think they have changed the chef the chef before so much better !

Wouldn't recomnend food and staff couldn't put on a smile and be friendly, used to be a local but seems to get worse over the years , I'd hate to have to ask for salt or anything because a knife and fork was hassle and got eyes rolling sorry do people usually use there fingers to eat a meal 😂

We went for a family birthday and there was 9 of us in the party. The service was excellent and the food terrific. The staff were friendly and attentive. Would recommend.

mixed grill 2 lamb chops only skinny too both meals were like warm no suprise nearly 45 mins late.... tikka tasted like tomato soup hope not the case to improve GP and cut corners was really good when 1st opened but gone downhill each delivery or collection I've had delivery driver no sorry or thank you for tip rude

Although the Sunday lunch lucked ok I opted for the lasagna as home made it was just laying of dry mince and pasta with a potato topping no tomato sauce no bectchmel sauce or herbs

Attended a friend's birthday party tonight. The staff made it extra special and we're most attentive, thank you for that. I had my usual gammon, excellent as usual. Some friends had the large mixed grill, I warned them it was large too, good job the staff provided a doggy bag. Excellent atmosphere, great pub, highly recommended.

The best Indian food in Wednesfield, maybe even Wolverhampton. Excellent food, excellent service.

Normally pop in to have a drink and the atmosphere is always lovely. Decided to have some food today and disappointed was an understatement. Food off the normal menu was fine but when it came to the Indian it was a huge let down. Mixed grill had little to no flavour and the chicken tikka masala might as well have been called a chicken tomato soup. Everything was dripping in grease and tasted the same. Definitley won’t be having food again.

The food was inedible, the Chicken Tikka masala sauce was so peppery it was impossible to eat comfortably. The Chicken Byrani contained very little chicken and the vegetable curry pour over was as hot as a vindaloo.

Went for a lovely meal with my family food was great service was brilliant... But the elderly staff member was talking to the young staff members like he just stepped in them outside made me feel very uncomfortable for them

Food is very good and reasonably priced. Seated quickly, and order was taken when we were ready. Food arrived in good order, but when we finished, it took forever to get someone we could pay. The main issue was that we were seated by the side of a circular booth that contained the noisiest idiot and his drunken friend. As we were most of the way through our meal, it didn't seem much point in asking to be moved, but it did somewhat spoil our evening. We will go back but make sure we are seated elsewhere.

The wait staff and hostess of this pub have to be the most rudest I have ever witness. They ignored me and my party who had made a reservation; ignoring my party's attempts to get their attention in order to locate our table in the shambolic layout. When I went to the hostess stand, 3 waitresses and the hostess were huddled around gossiping, all with the most sourest looks on their faces; and despite witnessing my approach and acknowledged me standing near the stand - they ignored me, carried on gossiping before all waltzing off - leaving me alone looking foolish next to this stand. Awful. My party and I were made to feel unwelcomed. The atmosphere was loud, screaming patrons due to the football that took over every screen and all ganging around the dining tables. My family and I abandoned our reservation as this was truly the most unpleasant dining experience I have every received. I can't rate the food due to not being seated but from what I saw, it look unappetising.

Visited Visited the Lancaster for a meal today...it was nice .but the cash machine wasn't working....sooooooo what if hadn't got any cash in me? No alterative??? Not impressed...get yourself sad your machines working properly please??

Called on an off chance for a drink Price was absolutely extortionate £5.95 for a non alcolic cider, no wonder it was very quiet in the pub will not bother going there again.

If I could leave this place a 0 star I would lina and John behind the bar made me feel like I should NOT be here they where so rude. They tutted made faces and I found myself telling them where things where and I've never step foot in this place the locals and some of the other staff where BRILLIANT and if it wasn't for them I would have walked straight out ! first time ordering from here. food nice and delivered hot. would have been 5 stars but no sauce with chicken shish kebabs which needed something, i ended up using mayo. no onion salad and green sauce with popadoms. to be fair they came free but still suppose what we used too. portions ok but smaller than usual indian takeaway so price is little expensive. overall meal was enjoyable. will order again and try eat in.

Incredible food! Cannot fault it! Masala chips are to die for, butter chicken was super tasty and wasnt dull and bland like a lot of places. This will definitely be my new regular!

Could not fault this place, food was excellent, service superb. Very attentive staff, lovely atmosphere. We went at 5.30 on Monday. Would highly recommend. Will definitely be going again. We all had curry.

Had a wonderful meal Sunday roast dinner definitely recommend there was nothing not to like.

The staff are really welcoming, nice atmosphere but was a little warm in there overall I would definitely recommend as the food was excellent Corriander nann bread was delicious with the lamb balti, the meat was so tender it really did melt in your mouth. I'm from Liverpool and not the best place for good curry, so it's a real treat to go the Lancaster for a real balti.

We went as a large party for hubby's birthday Saturday late afternoon early evening. Food was cooked extremely well and was very tasty. Staff were courteous and attentive and treated us well. We had a mix of tastes in our party and the menu was able to accommodate them all. I was particularly impressed with the lamb chops, melted off the bone! It was very cold yesterday when we went, and they had their heating on full power! At first, it was lovely, but after a while we were all rather hot and cramped at the table. This however will not put us off from returning!

Would be 0 if could, half the food missing we rang took ages to call back after he said he would check. Had to chase them again, was told the food gone there end nothing they can do didn't offer to call driver to check or recook. Just said sorry goodbye! Be wary if half your order missing they won't do anything about it.

The Lancaster is turning into a little goldmine of a pub. I’ve been coming up from Brighton to Wolverhampton on a weekly basis and every time pay a visit to The Lancaster. The food is superb from both the English and the Curry menus. The quality is outstanding meaning the value for money for “pub food” is tremendous. The staff are always polite, attentive and friendly. If you haven’t been here yet - give it a try. You won’t be disappointed !

Fantastic place to visit, staff were all very friendly and the service was excellent, we only popped in for a quick drink and ended up having a great meal one from the normal menu and one from the Indian menu, the price and quality of the food was exceptional, definitely recommend and will be going there again soon

Just had our 3rd meal since new owner. Wow amazing food. I'm a chef & always will find faults but can't fault anything. Just had the sea bass, tasty, perfectly cooked fresh vegetables & potatoes, hot food served on a hot plate. This type of food I'd expect to pay over £20 in a posh gastro pub, £14.99 for fresh sea bass at such a high standard. Please keep it up.

I booked a table yesterday for 3pm, when we got there we were shown to a small table around the corner by the toilets , where everyone was walking past very close to the table. Not an ideal place to put a table. The lady came to take our order, but then told us the Indian food was not available till 4pm, I was not going to sit waiting for an hour to order, we were not the only people who were disappointed, 4 other tables were shocked to hear this too, nowhere on the website does it say Indian food available from 4pm only. You need to make it clear on the website, when English and Indian foods are available, as we said we won't come here again. You will lose customers.

Oh dear! what a let down .the sheek and tikka was bland but not dry and comes with no sauces ,the chicken madras was watery and all you can taste was curry leaves and considering their pricing theres better takeaways near by .won't use again 🙁

Went for new years eve but our RESERVED table had been taken over by a group who walked in off thecstreet .On the tickets which were payed for in advance it clearly stated RESERVED which it was not,so we were told the buffett would be served after 9 pm when i finally got there ( no announsement the buffet was open ) there was sod all ,chipps and 2 pigs in blankets plus a ham sandwich which had mustard on .if i had an allergy i would have been very ill and worst case died.Not impressed and wont be back.

Food was great arrived on time and hot, the small mixed grill was great hate to think what a large would be more than enough for one person. Only criticism I would have not enough cheese on the naan bread was hardly any but apart from that will be using again,

Went on friday night for a curry with my brother and sister, beautiful meal, superb service. Was that impressed i took my wife for a sunday roast to celebrate her birthday. Wont be the last time i book a table there. 5*

First time we've been in under the new ownership. Ordered two meals and drinks. Drinks were vile - very sour taste, unclean pipes! We never finished pur drinks. Food - fish came out uncooked, and bacon cheese burger over cooked screwed up piece of plastic cheese disguised the shrivelled piece of bacon (well I think that's what it was) The lady who served was very pleasant and swapped one of the meals but it was to little to late by this point, we upped and left. Neither of us finished our food or drinks and definitely won't be returning. Last time we ate here the food was great and drinks were much better.

Enjoyed the curries but thought the fish curry had a few sharp bits in there. A inedible leaf was in there too.

As much as it was only coming 5 minutes,it was delivered spot on time. The food was excellent, very fresh and decent quantity. The chicken tikka and salmon were particular highlights. The Lancaster grill was enough for 3,maybe 4 lighter eaters. Given the freshness freshness of the food ii would recommend and I guarantee I'll be back.

First visit to the Lancaster, booked in advance and we were shown to a cosy, clean well presented table, we both ordered from the Indian menu although English food is available, the staff were very attentive and friendly, the food arrived quickly and was delicious. All in a very pleasant dining experience,although the bar area was very busy and noisy at 6pm,

The food we did receive was really good quality but unfortunately half of our order was missing and looked like the delivery driver had been helping himself to the poppadoms we’d paid for

Beautiful tasting food but not worth the money for what you get from the Indian portion sizes very small

Lamb kebab were very good, peshwari Naan was nice but the chicken madras was dissapointing. Base sauce with a dried chilli in, small amount of chicken not much flavour. A good madras has lemon and potato non of which were present. Nice try but no cigar.

Curry was absolutely gorgeous along with the masala chips and garlic naan. Speedy delivery and wonderful service. Could have done with some poppadoms though;-)

I've now been here twice for the lunch light bite menu and have seriously enjoyed myself. The food always seems to be cooked perfectly and between myself and several friends I've seen many of the dishes available on this menu. Definitely an enjoyable experience.

We had a Sunday carvery here since it's been taken over some of it was absolutely lovely, the only downfall is the pork and beef was very chewy and the cauliflower cheese is not cauliflower cheese. It's simply a bit of cheddar melted over it. Other than this the meal was lovely we had to ask for extra veg as they was not enough carrot between the three of us but this was sorted promptly by staff. Place is clean just lacking a but of atmosphere on a Sunday. Prices weren't too much.

Held a birthday party for 11 people cannot fault the service the food everyone enjoyed there food would definitely book again well done to the team

Food was awful we had new York chicken was really dry my husband and son had beer battered fish my husband sent most of his back and my son has really bad stomach pains and been on the loo for over a hour

Very helpful staff, the food was really good. We popped in around 12:30 and were made welcome.

John is brilliant and the pub used to be brilliant. The new owner himself is nice but the new Indian menu is far too expensive and disappointing - especially when the Pheasant is right up the road! The chilli chips were cold and bland and the garlic chilli chicken curry was too watery and not spicy at all. Burger was nice enough but massively overpriced - under tbe old owner a double burger with a drink was £6.29, now it's over £10 without a drink! To top it off the lady serving us was extremely rude - she took our plates as we were still eating without asking! Another member of staff was absolutely lovely and had to come over and take our payment as the other woman walked off after we asked to split the bill. At a lower price point and if the food improved I'd love to return.

Worst food I've eaten, burger bun was stale and hard. Chips were dark brown and soggy. Took around 45 minutes to come out even though the pubs pretty much empty. Won't be returning again.

Don’t know what is happening. Have been coming regularly every week since last September, always fantastic food and service but unfortunately over the last month it is dreadful. Don’t get me wrong the food is ok but the waiting time is absolutely ridiculous. Tonight we waited an hour and 20 minutes for our food and the pub was virtually empty . There were no serviettes available as they had run out. This has happened every week for the last few weeks. Sorry to say we won’t be coming again .

The barmaid is lovely the pub is clean, although the loos could do with a bit of a refurb. We go at lunch time and always order food first as we are there when it opens. we are with a small disabled group. This week there was only 6 of us and although the food is very nice to wait over an hour by the time we all got our food was to long. Unfortunately this is not a one off its every time and as we are on a time scale to get everyone home we will have to find somewhere else to eat when with a group. Personally I will go in as I can have a couple of drinks while waiting. The beer is good also

Very disappointed. No Carlsberg, No pressecco, very slow service at a quite time too. Had to correct my order for only 2 drinks, server git it wrong. Some people smoking at the front entrance, and the smoke drifting in. Also appearance of front entrance is disgusting, fag ends everywhere, and bin over filled. Not Good at all. Pity 😒
