The Lamb of Rhos in Carmarthenshire

Food was good, disappointingly no fresh coffee,only instant😞 as a restaurant thought fresh coffee would be standard fare,also no alternatives to cow's milk,also no ice available for a cold drink🤔,pot of tea served with a miniscule container of milk....

Attended a party at The Lamb of Rhos and stayed overnight. Everything was first class from the time that we checked in to the time that we checked out. The menu for the party was a choice of two different meats and a vegetarian option. My partner and I opted for the beef, which was really tender, full of flavour, and served with fresh vegetables. Beakfast was also very good with a good choice of menu. Considering breakfast was served until 10.00 on a Sunday morning, plus preparing Sunday lunch, nothing was too much trouble. Finally, I would like to give a huge thank you to all at The Lamb for a great time. Will see you soon 👍🍻

Just three older ladies celebrating a birthday. Haven't been to this restaurant for at least 12yrs.It has all the modern facilities but keeps it's old charm.The manager was charming, helpful and interesting to chat to.The food was nicely presented and tasty, especially the warm waffle dessert with chocolate sauce, cream and strawberries. I had to scrape my plate clean as it was so delicious!!!!Thank you for a very enjoyable lunchtime.

I come here often for food, the steak loaded fries is a new favourite meal of mine! Highly recommended! But I had a Sunday roast and the food and service was absolutely amazing, I really thought it deserved a review. The beef was perfect, it had that pinkness in the middle of each slice. The roasties were great, something I’m quite fussy on but these were delicious. And the cauliflower cheese was mouthwatering. These guys are doing such a great job and deserve every success in their business

We visited this restaurant on a short notice booking while on a camping holiday. The staff could not have been more friendly. The food was beautifully cooked and presented, although there was a minor mistake in our order, as all the steaks were ordered as rib-eye steaks, but one was delivered as a rump. We agreed to accept the rump steak, but it was not as good as a rib-eye would have been. The rest of the meals were great. At the end of the meal, and without any prompting from ourselves, our host took our first round of drinks off the final bill as compensation for the mix up over the steaks. It was a well appreciated gesture.

A clean and welcoming pub. The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. We visited out of season so not as busy as expected. Service was very good and the menu satisfied all our needs. This is not a 5 star Michelin eaterie, but the food served was of a very good quality and taste. I ordered the pizza, with added extra toppings and the taste was superb. Both veggie and meat burgers went down well, and the 3 sausages and mash received high praise. The price of drinks was also good, and the bottle of Merlot went down very well. The staff were excellent. We have friends who live locally, and yes we will go back. Based on price, menu, taste, staff and value for money I would totally recommend this venue

Nice staff , nice pub, didn't eat there although the food I saw looked nice. Get a few people in on a Friday night.

Well I did not feel like cooking today so rang on the off chance of getting a table and I had a call straight back saying yes they had a table. Once off the phone I wondered if they had room it may not be very good., I need not of worried. Staff very attentive but not overly bar staff were very friendly and polite and congratulations to the lovely kitchen staff who put on an amazing Sunday Lunch. We saw quite a few takeaways being collected too which was another good sign. Thank you the Lamb of Rhos for a lovely pint and a beautiful Sunday Roast. See you again very soon 👍

Definitely stay again!! Stayed here for two nights in the family room, which was so spacious & comfortable, perfect for families or couples. Extremely comfortable bed, views to die for and a bath that would be everyone else’s to shame. Enjoyed a delicious dinner & breakfast. We couldn’t have asked for more. I have been to the lamb for food and the occasional drink in the evening a few times and food, staff, service, friendliness, cleanliness, atmosphere, etc, etc is always 10/10. So, because of this, I booked to host my young daughter’s birthday party here, and was not disappointed. Even their outdoor space has a lot to offer it turns out. Plus plenty of space in the carpark for all the cars that turned up. They even got involved with helping to plan the party with me suggesting ideas etc which was appreciated. I will continue to keep supporting their brilliant family run business as long as they’re open. It is also good to know that if I decide to make a night of it I am able to book one of their rooms to save me worrying about getting home that night. Thank you everyone at The Lamb of Rhos
