Fantastic meal from the new menu

Came for Sunday lunch yesterday. Superb food, service and atmosphere. Will be back again when I'm next in the area visiting my friends.😁

We met here today for a small family wake after a funeral. Food put on by Picton House was superb. Staff very attentive. Decor very stylish. Would highly recommend! Thank you Holly for looking after us with sensitivity.

We’ve been here for a number of occasions now… date night, summer drinks with friends, dinner outside with the kids and today we had Sunday lunch with friends & family. Every time we’ve been it’s been great but their Sunday lunch is fabulous! Super rich & flavourful, exactly what you want for a Sunday treat. Holly & the team are great and you can see the bond she has with her customers. Thanks all! X

Second year running for pur family pre Christmas weekend.

Sunday lunch was 1st class. Plenty of choice of meats and a large selection of veg. Unfortunately dessert wasn't in the same class.... A meringue nest with cream on top with some strawberries and a couple of blueberries to me doesn't make an Artic Pavlova...... It just lacked a bit of imagination, but all in all a very nice Sunday lunch

We wanted to treat ourselves to a nice evening meal during our holiday and were glad to have found Picton House. Our starters, mains and dessert were all delicious and well presented. We felt the prices were appropriate for the quality of the food. The staff were friendly and the place has a cosy, welcoming atmosphere. We will certainly eat at Picton House again if we're in the area.

What a find. Warm friendly greating & their hospitality is spot on. They were just changing their menu but were happy to adapt things too, not that we required them to. The food was delicious, homemade and the portion size was fantastic. It was very good value. They are undergoing renovation of additional accommodation which looks beautiful too.

Beautiful setting for an afternoon tea , we sat out side to have a drink before being shown to our very well presented table. Ordered our pot of tea and coffee, the food came out on beautiful home made vintage tea stands. Macaroons, brownies, mini Victoria sponges , fruit tartlets , beautifully fresh scones with jam & cream finished off with a beautiful homemade tiramisu. On a large board we had 4 sandwiches each . smoked salmon & cream cheese , egg mayo , ham & tomatoes , chicken mayo. All made on soft fresh bread . Definitely a lovely treat and we really enjoyed . Highly reccomended 🥰. I will definitely be booking in for the next one , maybe with a bottle of prossecco next time .

Stopped in motorhome for one night. Excellent food and good beer and wine. Very welcoming staff and locals.

What a wonderful homely place with a modern twist. Rooms are amazing. Hosts welcoming and breakfast great. We have toured and stayed in 2 castles but they have nothing on this . Rooms are much nicer. Highly recommend .

Enjoyed a Sunday lunch recently. Food and service excellent - would definitely visit again.

We came here for a meal last Friday and were so warmly welcomed at this lovely super dog friendly pub, they even let us stay in the carpark in our little campervan for the evening. Food was really good and service spot on, and we thought very reasonably priced. Few drinks in the bar afterwards also great and the locals were very lovely and chatty with us - really great community here - thank you!

Excellent experience all round, a fine 1610 house modernised with taste. We have booked another two trips to this hotel.

Had a lovely dinner, cooked perfectly, service from Holly was excellent! Really nice place, wish I could have stayed the night to enjoy the a Welsh breakfast. Next time!
