Very polite and helpful staff. Had fish and chip which were fantastic. Real chips aswel. Extra brownie points for having that rarity these days, white pepper! Definitely will make a return.

Really nicely cooked food. Everything seemed home cooked, simple but good quality. We were quite a large party and everyone was really impressed with their food. Really reasonably priced too. Highly recommend.

Amazing place. Considering we were a party of 22 people, everything went so smoothly and efficiently. The food was out of this world, could tell it was home cooked and nothing was too much trouble. Very friendly staff and can’t recommend it enough, look forward to going there again.

What a great Welsh pub, friendly warm welcome and a great pint

This pub has been around for quite some time in the little village of Porthyrhyd, not far from Carmarthen. It, surprisingly, maintains a large variety of flavored gins. The atmosphere is family friendly and the food is quite good but standard pub fare. I will definitely go back.

Over 40 minutes waiting for Sunday lunch, no vegetarian option and food was at best poor. Would not recommend.

Really good place to be on a warm summer night, plenty of room for parking and outside seating.

Stopped for Breakfast and it was Excellent £7 for All Day Breakfast with Coffee all cooked fresh with a Warm welcome from the Staff ,can't wait to go back .

Lovely atmosphere in a proper village pub. Bar meals great, but the Sunday lunch is absolutely out of this world. Be warned, even we couldn’t manage a pudding afterwards! Thoroughly recommend this absolute gem.

Great local boozer with a traditional intertoer, all too difficult to find these days. Good selection of beers, really great fish and chips and friendly staff and locals. What more could you ask for?!

Great place food fab staff friendly good beer

Enjoyed a good value and very nice rump steak with real chips and a lovely, warm welcome. Have to say their 3 course Valantines Day meal looked great value and really nice to see it is available for 3 days.

Called on a Saturday lunchtime, the pub was very busy, a Hen Party was just about leaving and only one person behind the bar. Once the rush was over very pleasant service. We ordered food and drinks, reasonably priced. The food arrived quite quickly, piping hot and the most delicious looking chips. They tasted as good as they looked. The waitress was efficient and friendly. The food is high quality pub food, no complaints from us. We had dessert as well, this was average more than spectacular. A pleasant meal, décor in the pub could do with updating but will be well worth another visit.

Very friendly, helpful very good food. Place for children to play. Pool in the bar. Children and dog friendly. Had Avery enjoyable day. We were a party of 29. We had booked in advance and were very pleased with service. It is friendly and they don't mind if you sort yourselves out by moving tables ect.,. They had already served over 60 Sunday dinners when we arrived and our food was top notch. No complaints only praise. Well done The Prince of Wales and thank you.

Friendly welcome good ales good food at good prices not hard on the pocket.

Slow!!! Booked a table when we arrived it wasn't ready so we had to sit outside for almost half an hour. It was for a group of us and when the table was finally ready we went inside to find we were sat at 2 different tables so as a group we weren't even sitting together. We moved the tables ourselves so that the whole group could sit together. The service was poor, very slow and unapologetic. The food is your usual pub grub nothing special. A disappointing experience.

Hadn't been here for 20 years or so and was very surprised as to how lovely the food was. The food was delivered quickly and was fantastic and the beef was possibly the nicest I have ever had in pubs. Really nice indeed. Person behind the bar a little abrupt but actually nice enough really! Highly recommended and will be returning soon for sure.

Beer is good, food is good, staff are friendly, has large garden and is popular with families, also has live entertainment which was good
