Food usually very good here, but popped in later one evening for takeaway chicken & chips which unfortunately was massively overcooked which I did not discover until I was home. Only ate half, disappointing 😞

Awesome food at a great price point for the quality and quantity! Set in a quirky space Sloppy Joe's provides a energetic yet chilled environment to enjoy your food in. Also recommend the deserts & they have a decent selection of alcoholic and non-alcholic drinks!

Menu has changed since I last went. Food was really good but prices have almost doubled

Came to our most favourite place yesterday to try out some new choices on the menu and WOW!! Every single time you guys just knock it out the park! The Finding Nemo was superb 😍, and the husband said the Reuben Bagel was AMAZING! Picked up some very yummy goodies from Doughs after too 😂 Can't wait to come back ❤️ P.S. The tunes that were playing inside the restaurant were awesome too 👏

Hi! I never leave a bad review but this time I had too! I ordered the cowabunga burger and at a glance it looked amazing, when I picked the burger up the bun underneath was dripping in oil . The chips were way too salty so much that I wouldn't let my son eat them. I ordered a side of mac and cheese also and the cheese was super hot but the actually pasta was cold underneath. My wife enjoyed the tacos and I wish I ordered them but I hadn't eaten all day so I had the biggest meal I could find but ended up in tesco throwing it all back up it made me feel that horrific. Like I said I never leave bad reviews but that was a bad experience. I would have told the staff but after the food was put down no one returned to check on our meal. A little advice would be if the burgers are going to be oily put paper underneath so it doesn't soak into the bun as you do with the tacos and also hold back on the salt. The chips would have been lovely without them that salty, it was inedible for my son.

My wife and I came here for Valentine's Day and walked away wanting to come back, and so we did, and it didn't disappoint. It's hard to find good food, especially places that make you want to come back to try the rest of the menu. Keep up the good work, peeps.

The place it's self is lovely, however I think the food is totally overpriced! I also waited over 40 mins for my coffee after the meal. We had previously booked our table.

Great food and friendly service

Every Friday on my way to bank for the shop I work at, I’m cheeky and I stop in Doughs Bakery for a sweet treat and a coffee (less than a fiver). The staff that work there are tremendous. I recently got the opportunity to visit Sloppy Joes again for the first time in a while, phenomenal service from the staff, amazing music (mostly ska), and best of all great food. Food we had - big pig burger/tacos. Phenomenal portion sizes and a really reasonable price. Ditch the McDonald’s and support local - you’ll be chuffed with the result.

The food, service and atmosphere in sloppy Joe's is great. We always get really tasty, reasonably priced food and the service is fast and pleasant. There is always a good atmosphere in SJ's and yesterday they had live music to entertain us.

Food was OK, but really disappointing there aren't more vegan options! Service was mediocre, some items were forgotten and we had to ask again so didn't get to eat at the same time. Same with the drinks. Although the food was OK, don't think I'd rush back again

Love the food here but it has become so overpriced. £13 for a burger with just a single piece of southern fried chicken in it is flipping outrageous. Tastes amazing though so if you're not on a budget I would recommend. *They want me to edit my review because of a wrong price when in fact they assume I had the wrong burger! It was in fact the wok and roll burger and the piece of chicken was definitely not a whole chicken breast, if it had been I would not have been so miffed at the price 😂

Food is amazing, staff are friendly and nice, food comes out quick, good value for money, parking nearby too, would recommend to try, be nice to go back but I'm not driving 200 miles for it maybe next time

Awesome street food, delicious. Lots of choice for drinks. Large choice of ice creams or deserts. Friendly staff and a relaxed relaxed atmosphere. New record shop next door, and amazing bakery well worth a visit. Check it out.

Nice place pleasant staff and good food reasonably priced too

Great food and great staff. Value for money is excellent. Every time we go we know we could share 1 choice but always order 2 cos it's sooo good. Steak in garlic is superb. And the onion rings are worth having on their own, they are the size of a ring doughnut!

Great food and atmosphere burger one of the best

We do not often leave reviews but think this place is deserving of one. Must be one the best burgers I have ever had. We ordered 2 dishes to share but this was too good to give away. The Jammie dodger milk shake also went down well. Great service and good pricing. We will def be back some time soon.

What can I say about the amazing place that is sloppy joes? As a family we go here a lot. The vibe is great, the staff are lush, the food is phenomenal and affordable! It’s outstanding. So much so we booked the entire upstairs for our wedding evening do. Well, the staff went above and beyond! Nothing was too much. The attention to detail was second to non. The entire atmosphere was incredible! The way they managed to not only deal with the business of our wedding they also had a thriving amount of custom downstairs where everyone partied and celebrated together. I cannot thank the team enough for genuinely making our day so special and exactly why we picked sloppys as our venue. Genuinely special place, don’t miss out!!

Sadly quality of food gone down hill since our last visit which was excellent. My husband's macaroni cheese had no cheese sauce, the chicken was over cooked and dry. The serving was a small bowl and looked very unappetizing. My food was piled on the plate, the coldslaw dumped on the chips, the slow cooked pork was dry and not very pleasant. We sat inside this time and there was a cacophony of music competing against each other, we could not carry on a conversation - very sad as last time we sat outside and it was great.

Such a fabulous restaurant, amazing home cooked food and great staff and atmosphere!! It's décor is awesome and it's great when they hold live music outside. Cocktails are delicious!! There puddings are amazing too 🤩 it's a favourite of ours and we just keep returning 🤩 Never disappointed!!!

Honestly my favourite place to eat out ever!! Food is always to the highest quality and staff so lovely! All so affordable as well! They were understaffed yesterday and still delivered the best service and food as always , will never stop coming x

Great staff and quite probably the best burger (Bacon Burger) I've ever had. The meatballs were excellent and the sauce they were in was fantastic. Don't get me started about the fries, best ever! The only criticism I have is that I was supposed to go shoe shopping afterwards but was too full to bend over and try any on. If you haven't been , go. Go now!

just a meal we have had a few times before but this time the chips had so much salt on them the meals were almost inedible! when I told the waiter when I went to pay the bill he refused to take any money off at all. so won't be going back!

Visited today, looking for somewhere to eat whilst waiting for a train. We stumbled across this absolute gem!!! The food was excellent and inexpensive, the staff were friendly and welcoming and the restaurant is cool and fun!! I wish we lived closer, we'd visit every week!!!

Went for food on Saturday night. What a waste of my night! Food was terrible. It was cold and had no taste. If I had a dog I wouldn’t let it eat there. If I could have gave it zero stars I would have! Definitely won’t be going back

can’t fault any staff here! There isn’t many relaxing places in Carmarthen and this is top ! My daughter is autistic and non verbal and really struggles going out for food but not here ! She always takes up the sofa area , shoes off and they allow her to play there musical instruments which she loves ! The food is amazing we can never fault it ! Thankyou for being such a sen friendly place 💜

Honestly one of the best places we have had food. We had a lovely evening and the food was incredible! The children’s meals were really generous also. We will be back again soon! The cocktail was to die for too. We have tried many street food restaurants but can honestly say Sloppy Joe’s beats them all. Just wish we lived closer to come weekly haha! Also I thought the toilet was cool as hell!

The quality of the food was terrible Really bland Mac and cheese Cheese used tastes very cheap and low quality Meatball cheese melt was disgusting cheapest meatballs I’ve ever tasted Was like a bought pack of Swedish meatballs from boss man shop The bread tasted and looked like more of a brioche then sourdough Disappointed as a few people bigged this place up won’t be back

My wife and I have been wanting to go here for ages. My wife managed to go today with a friend for lunch but was left disapointed when ignored several times by the waitress when trying to get attention. Left without ordering dessert. Didn't feel welcome as a new customer, maybe just prefer regulars.

Amazing food. Had the halloumi burger which was delicious and hubby had one of the meat burgers he thoroughly enjoyed. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Live music as well. Well worth it

I ordered chicken frickin fries, meet was very dry, and had a thick crunchy crust which was horrible. Husband had chilli fatty patty, very dry small patty no flavout of chilli in dreadful a n awfull brioch bun. Daughter had a dissapointing side salad nearly all coleslaw, and supposedly a crush patty which it wasnt?? Son in law had something that he said tasted weird and so sadly doesn't want to remember his meal at all. Whole waste of money. Embarrassingly we had said how lovely the food was and talked family in anniversary meal there. Will not go there again as good and the atmosphere and service was.

Food was ok. Not as tasty as I was expecting, a bit bland which was a surprise as it was taco Friday. I was expecting something a bit mexican. At the time it was quite noisy with other people chatting loudly. My biggest complaint was the coffee. It tasted like weak and cheap instant. I was looking forward to a decent cup but I couldn't drink it.

If 6 stars was an option I would give 6. Food is always outstanding.

Tucked away on a quiet little street, absolute gem of a restaurant. A little quirky, with great music and atmosphere, food is phenomenal, great service and very reasonable prices. We’ve been on Tuesday and wait time was next to none, however I can imagine it’s getting pretty crazy here on weekends.

Our first time,but certainly not the last. Amazing service with amazing food. All the family loved it here. Well recommended. Thank you for a great night out.

Went here last night and even though we were late due to traffic and lost 2 of our party they couldn't have been more welcoming. The staff even found a quieter spot and got us blankets and cushions when it was noisy upstairs. The food was fresh and tasty and my partner said it was the best burger he'd ever had (and he eats lots of burgers!).

If you haven’t been here yet…….why not!!? Many places get undeserved hype (Beefy Boys (Cheltenham), BreadMeatsBread (Glasgow), Hills (Brecon)) and don’t get me wrong they are good! Sloppy Joe’s is something else 👌🏻 lovely atmosphere, reasonable prices and the burgers are wow! Give it a go - thank me later! 🍔

Absolutely AMAZING!!! Food was superb! Big quantities and CHEAP! Two massive burgers, two pints and basically a full plate of steak and chips (cowabunga fries) for £35!!! All freshly made and cooked! Service was quick, polite and the waitress was very attentive! I don’t often write reviews unless it’s to warn others BUT the occasions I right positive ones it’s only for those that go above and beyond standard! The only thing I need to complain about is that we were too full for pudding after the main meal!! So we had to get the cream buns as takeaway :-)

This place is awesome it is beautiful and vibrant and the decor is amazing. I cannot rate it enough. Cannot wait to take my partner and our girls there. Staff were all amazing and kind. Food was delicious I wish I had got a cake now.

Service needs more stars. The staff are top notch. The food is fantastic I tried the elvis Burger that's was nice The wife had meatballs. As you can see from one of my pictures you have a variety of choices regarding your style of burger. Definitely recommend this place its one of my must try places. Oh and there is a bell you can ring if you are a sloppy virgin ( made me lol)

Thank you guys so much for Thursday! Me and my husband never get to treat our son but I made a point of treating him and his girlfriend to some outstanding food! Not only was the atmosphere top notch, but the food….*chefs kiss* The food was so worth it and 3/4 were Sloppy Joe Virgins and they are still talking about the food! I’ve been before but not in a long time! Gona have to come back next time for the Tacos I keep hearing so much about!

Was only in town doing a local home removal got there 10/15 mins before closing staff said we couldn’t sit as they were doing a final clean up but we’re more than happy to let us order and take it with us to go, all the staff were friendly and courteous and from all around the country. The walls were lined with cool and unique art with various different seating options making it a cool but homely vibe. The food came out hot and delicious only wish we could stay longer as there cocktails looked great would defo recommend to any local or passer-by. Thanks again from George and Kian from Essex

Came in for the first time today with my partner, Was greated at the door with very polite staff members. Portions were huge, Food and Milkshakes tasted amazing. Would most definitely recommend and will be returning soon.

Wow, if you want to get heart failure from fat intake, then this is the place for you. Experiences 2 versions of loaded fries and burgers, between my self and my husband. The roll was saturated in some kind of fat, but unsure how.. seemed to be dipped in the frying pan, as both beef and chicken were actually not too bad. The burgers were also full to the brim with filling mess. Same as fries, tasted of old fat and so much filling on top - give me immediate stomach flipping pain, as I needed to vomit. Upon going down to complain, the stench of fat that came from the kitchen was awful.. I came out of there smelling like I had done a days work on the fryers.

Not very dog friendly, dogs are only allowed outside. Service was very slow, but staff apologised and gave us free drinks before we complained. Can't fault the food though!

I have to strongly disagree with the review left earlier. I have always taken my dog here and the owners and staff could never do enough for both my dog and I. Despite always being very busy the service is second to none. I bought my puppies in here today to show the owners and staff my new editions and as always we had an amazing welcome x

Nice to visit my home town and receive genuine customer service and hospitality. After a quick interaction with 1 of the owners we were moved upstairs to the fireplace, better suited for us even after having ordered. Our waiter upstairs (leopord print queen) interacts with customers with energy and passion and actual want to be there. Wholesome place to visit with costs being reasonable. Sloppys has helped carms thrive and it's great to visit almost 2 years later and standards are just as high as they started. Great amount of interaction to be had with staff and a grand piano open to those who fancy showing off! I would come here just for casual drinks too, as that side of the menu was also reasonably priced. Limited but not short of options as a veggi, but atmosphere tops. Meat options are generous and good value for money. Great that they're open until 6pm on a Sunday, as everywhere else is closed! (except chain business'). Well done team

Wow! This place is awesome! The burgers were some of the best I have ever had. The loaded fries were spectacular and the whole atmosphere of Sloppy Joe's was brilliant. I can highly recommend the burgers. We had the Chilli one and the bacon one. They were both really tasty. We also tried the sweetcheeks and the chorizo loaded fries. We couldn't finish them so took them home and after 5 mins in the air fryer we got to enjoy them again. Highly recommended hidden gem.
