Saved our Graduation Stay Very comfortable, clean and cosy We were let down by the ibis in Swansea which cancelled our booking and didn't tell us so when we were left with nowhere to stay the night before Graduation we rang the King's Head and they were able to find rooms for all 3 of us! Not only that we got dinner for the evening and a lovely comfortable stay Staff were very helpful and friendly Would highly recommend

Excellent choice, Robbie was very kind, friendly and helpful. Rooms are presented to a very high standard with everything you would need, lovely comfortable bed. The food served here is amazing and an excellent choice of drinks. We are already planning our next visit here.

Hotel is really cozy and nice. Above all, I must commend the cuisine - the food was delicious and extremely tasty. The young staff is very friendly and professional, which made the stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend both the cuisine and the hotel to anyone planning to stay in the area!

Absolutely wonderful place. Stayed this week for work. Robbie and Catherine are an absolute credit and the lovely chef. Food is gorgeous and the rooms are so clean and well presented. Absolutely cannot fault and will definitely be staying again. Highly recommend this lovely place.

Very convenient stopover when travelling along the M4 into West Wales. The staff are very welcoming. The food is excellent and the prices are very reasonable.

Had a works Christmas party at the Kings, the food was delicious, every member of our party complimented each course. Plenty to choose from and something for everyone, the vegetarian roast was one of the best I have tasted. The staff were friendly and accommodating to last minute changes. Definitely go back again. Didn't use the accommodation but it's useful to have it there.

The establishment could NOT be any better!! I visited the restaurant for the second time and it impressed even more than the first. You can hear the roars of laughter outside in the street, and when you get in, you can see nothing but enjoyment and genuine bonds being created with staff and customers. Never in my time have I had a dessert so fantastic that I’ve ordered another 2 to take home. I would absolutely return, and I plan to very often. Fantastic vibes, fantastic staff, fantastic food.

Went for food. Been a few times, and it is always cooked well and tasty. Booking is advised as it is only small and popular with locals.

Very expensive for a village pub. I paid £3.40 for a DIET coke. And that was siphoned, not even the real thing. Seating seamed to be squeezed in, not much room. Wouldn't visit again.

I was welcomed by the landlord and told what a lovely name I have and was the given the choice of rooms which was all flawlessly clean and newly refurbished the food was spot on home cooked food from lamb shanks to ribs the pub is also very nice clean and a nice bunch of locals would definitely recommend

Booked in for one night I was told where my room was not shown inside wasn't told about anything or what time breakfast was so missed that at 9am got told where there nearest cafe was the food there was over priced and didn't feel welcome I was just left to it so not the best experience I had and the first time for my son staying in a b&b

Booked room online. On arrival, we were told that the room was booked for 1 person & extra £10 charge for 2 people in a king room. Smoke alarm went off at 11pm, with no explanation other than, “someone must have been smoking in their room”. Food was pricier than other establishments. Plenty of room for improvement

Stayed here for 1 night for a funeral. This Tavern / B and B is old and quaint. We had a lovely time here. Host Robbie is very welcomeing and freindly. The staff here are very good and efficient especially Claire and Cath at the Bar. Would certainly stay here again. The food at this place is fabulous also.

Lovely room. Served us well. Really clean and recently renovated. Not far from town and they called us taxis to go out. Recommended.

If you're looking for a warm welcome and BANGING (affordable) food..... this is the pub for you! Intelligent and interesting Landlord, friendly and helpful staff, great accommodation. What is there not to like? And the beer is the cheapest in three counties.....I'd give it 6 stars if I could!

Really good pub. It was absolutely empty when we turned up. Really tasty food with great portion sizes. Good choice of beer/cider on tap. Claire was very helpful .

I booked a one night stay at the Kings Head Inn, Capel Hendre. Check in wasn’t until 3pm but the host was very accommodating and got the room ready a couple of hours early. The room was spacious, clean, warm and everything you’d expect and for sixty quid it’s a bargain. The on site restaurant food was excellent. I had the best bit of brisket with wonderful seasonal vegetables and creamy mash, than I’ve had for ages, and it was more like fine dining than pub grub. And cheap to, just £17 for something you’d pay £25 for in London. Friendly bar staff and host. I highly recommend this place.

I work away from home and this is the first time I've ever felt like a regular. From the bar staff being so l amazing to the regular customers being so welcoming and friendly. If I could request this place to be my permanent working away destination I would. All I can say is guys if you work away from home m, stay here and have a pint with the regulars and then have a comfy night sleep. You won't be disappointed

Lovely meal with a friend , excellent food , well presented , really good service , would definitely return.The only downside is the decor was a little tired and dated and the toilets needed a complete overhaul .

Food very good quality but the pre-decided portion sizes of vegetables made the meal price exorbitant despite the quality of the main roast beef portion. Bar access from the restaurant side is unsuitable. Poor value

Very warm welcome, friendly staff, lovely food with a really good atmosphere. The room was clean and quiet, very competitively priced with air bnb’s and hotels I’d looked at in the area, the shower was great, beats a chain hotel hands down.

What a great place to stay, stayed with family for just the one night, had a double room which was spotless, all facilities you would expect to have and very comfy beds, daughter, son in law and new born baby had a pod and loved it, comfy beds and all facilities expected, booked a table for food not knowing what to expect but the food was amazing, staff were friendly and very welcoming, we will definitely be staying here again when we next visit, Thank you Robbie and staff 👍🏻 Excellent

Hidden Gem!! We received a very friendly, warm welcome on arrival at the bar. Check in was quick and easy, we were personally shown upstairs to our room. These are via an outside metal staircase if mobility is a problem, but my son managed them fine even though he's on crutches at the moment! The room was spacious and very comfortable... the views are stunning out across the landscape from both windows. The facilities were great with the usual tea making section, a hairdryer and a good size TV. The beds were very comfortable, I'm very fussy about beds, but these were superb and the pillows perfect too for a great sleep, if only we had longer but had to move on for an event today. The shower was also fabulous. We didn't eat unfortunately as it was quite late arriving and plans in the morning, but looked great so maybe next time. - The room was very cold when we arrived and then very warm in the night!

Excellent food and excellent rooms. Food is more gastro pub than pub grub, better than your chain of restaurants with standard menus. This menu all made by their chef on site. Never had a bad meal there, very high quality, with friendly service. Rooms are also super comfy, super clean and nicely decorated. Far nicer rooms than a lot of hotels I have been to recently.

A tasty selection of pub fare, nicely cooked. I've had two very nice meals here. Highly Recommended!

Limited choice for eating healthy as with most places but they did allow me to have a fishcakes starter with a jacket potatoes which was lovely. My only criticism was don't sit on the high backed benches because it's awful when people behind you get up and down and probably vice versa. Will definitely go again though

I stayed here for one night. Accommodation entrance is by a set of metal stairs at the rear of the property. Room and facilities were great. Food and beer was good.

What an amazing pub. Sunday lunch was absolutely brilliant. Good quality and a nice amount of meat which makes such a difference. The drinks weren't a rip off either which is a massive plus. And the staff they were fantastic. We have just moved to the area and it will become are local. A massive thanks to the whole pub. Brilliant just brilliant. Went there tonight 3/7/21 with my partner and daughter, service was excellent, waiting times were short, the food was outstanding, well worth a visit for anyone.

The best food I've had ever, and that is not an exaggeration. Would recommend to anyone who appreciates good food and not that silly posh stuff. All I can say is give it a try.

Really friendly staff (all staff) so welcoming and happy to help. Food was really nice, so nice I brought my parents the next day for sunday dinner. The rooms were really clean and tidy and bed was very comfortable. Couldn't complain about one thing! We will be staying here every time we travel from Liverpool to see my family:)

If you meet Robbie (the owner), taste some food and take a rest in one of the top rooms, you'll love this place. The owner is hospitable, communicative, pleasant person. Reading other reviews about this place, I understood why he's got so many 5* The room is stayed was clean. The area is silently, except if you open a window and you hear the traffic, when people get back from work. They also have a green park, if you have little ones and you need them to get tired.

Lovely staff, they are doing their very best in the Covid 19 restrictions.
