The Knight Of Aveley in Thurrock

I believe this pub has just reopened, and it certainly seems to have a lot of new fittings. It was lively when we arrive, about 6:00pm mainly male customers. The choice of beers and wines was very good. Disappointed that the new pub chain do not support food prepared within the pub, but I was advised there would be "Burger van" outside which will provides a variety of food and there was no objection of you wanted to bring your own food into the pub. There is planned entertainment this coming weekend, Fri Sat and Sun so encouraging sign from this freshly re opened Pub. It is a very large pub, with many TV screens so sport lovers are well catered for. The garden area, obviously freshly laid out had a good supply of typical pub Table / bench arrangements. So overall, encouraging start and first impressions suggest this pub will be a good "local"

Staff very welcoming and polite the food was good value the food was very fresh and cooked superb. I definitely coming back again i be recommended this place to friends and colleagues and others they also got chickens and ducks and rabbits for children to look at in the garden. I’ve give this five stars for my first visit to the restaurant

Came out with my sisters for a New Year’s Eve dinner Was recommended special number 2 by our friendly waitress, plenty of food so much variety, tried food we would not of tried before Amazing friendly staff would highly recommend

Waited for order for over two hours and it never arrived. Tried to contact the restaurant but nobody answered. Tried to get order update via the app on several occasions and again no response. I tried to cancel the order after more than two hours but the app won't let me. After nearly five hours I log back in at 2am in the morning and it says order has been delivered. This kind of experience is simply unacceptable. No communication. No cancellation. No refund.

A last minute decision to go somewhere within walking distance and we were pleasantly surprised the really nice couple who are the managers have made 1/2 the pub into a Turkish restaurant The food is really good quality and nothing was too much trouble I had the prawns to start as did my friends and they also had the lamb shish and chicken shish food presented very nice The prices are reasonable in line with other restaurants. Toilets are really nice it always makes me feel better as I imagine the kitchen to be the same standard of cleanliness I will definitely return!

My Wife and I recently had a meal at the newly opened Knights Meze Bar & Grill, the location is excellent for us, walking distance, you can have a drink with friends in the public bar and walk round to the restaurant when you are a feeling a bit peckish, I must say the food was excellent and plenty of it, the menu is small but with still plenty of choice. Well worth a visit for anyone who likes Turkish food and it's reasonably priced as well.

Perfect please to have a drink and dinner with friends and family... Best service and excellent value...

New restaurant open. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Great variety of food, cooked to perfection. A great addition to restaurants in the area.

Had a lovely meal at the new meze grill restaurant at the Knight of Aveley. Food was delicious and plenty of it. The staff where attentive and welcoming. Highly recommended. Very reasonably priced too.
