The Kitchen Takeaway in Rochdale

Been ordering here for years, never again, noticed a difference in the quality last year, gave it another chance, vile! Hard clumpy rice, squidgy greasy pakora, tough lamb tikka, poppadoms soft, greasy and taste of fish 🤢 definitely a different chef!

Ordered from here for years but the last 3 times the food has been awful, hard clumpy rice very chewy lamb, strange tasting chicken, soft fishy poppadoms and squidgy greasy pakora. I will not be returning, the chef must be a different one.

Great food, good portion size, delivered on time. Never miss any items. Excellent

Imagine if your elbow was left in the desert for 50 years. Thats what the pitta bread resembles. The lamb was chewy and dry. Seemed they put an entire iceberg lettuce in the kebab to make up for the lack of meat. The kebab was 0/10.

really solid food, was expecting a basic biryani, but it even came topped with an egg and a sauce for side. going to be my next go to over the weekend.

Very, very tasty, quick, easy and efficient delivery and reasonably priced, what more can one ask for?

By far the worst Chicken Tikka and Lamb Tikka I have ever experienced. I read the reviews on Google reviews and should have known better. I’m serious when I say this. I would not take this food for Free if on offer.

I can’t believe I never took note of the reviews prior to ordering, the worst chicken and Lamb Tikka I have ever had from a takeaway. Justeat should be banning these guys from there site.

We always order from here the food is always lovely and fresh. Only tonight when ordering the wrong curry was sent not the one we ordered.

The food wasn’t cook the chicken was pink and not cooked at all

First and last time ordering from here, arrived late, freezing cold, mixed chicken and donner on pita, very dry, stale pitta, wrong sauce, just abysmal, was awful.

All the food was soggy and tasted really oily as if it had been double dipped. Only live 3 minutes drive from the takeaway yet it was cold when it arrived. Definitely wouldn't re-order.

Not impressed at all with todays food. The curry had leaked all over the other food. The chicken was chewy and I was unable to eat it. Won’t be ordering again

Wasn’t happy with my order on this occasion, it was late, my Rogan Josh had coconut in it and my pilau rice was burnt.

Food was cold and chicken dry. Order was also late.

Ordered an aloo gosht Potatoes was hard and quite spicy not very authentic chicken sagwala was ok.

Normally I well rate The Kitchen Takeaway, however, tonight they have sent a shameful meal! The onion Bhajis were burnt to a crisp and inedible, the naan was also burnt with black bits, the meat was cooked in parts then cold in parts. The person who put this food in the trays would have been well aware that this food was of poor quality! Clearly just want the money rather than customer satisfaction. Lost a customer tonight and I’m sure will continue to lose many more if they continue to serve poor quality food like they have tonight! Shameful!

Salt salt and more salt. The naan was inedible and the mango was off colour. The poppadoms were old and kind of soggy

Arrived late was so cold not happy as we ad waited so long for delivery wasted food really. Shame as this place is really good normally

ordered waited 40 mins , checked on the app to find they had cancelled the order. No notification off uber which I guess isn't their fault. But why accept orders just to cancel.. Plenty of other takeaways. Won't bother ordering again!

Shame about the 30mins from notification it was on its way to it being delivered. Food lukewarm and chips soggy. However kebab wrap and rogan Josh was absolutely spot on!!

Fab takeaway, best food, I go to uni away from home so whenever I come back I always look forward to a takeaway from here. Best kebabs around. Delivery drivers are so friendly aswell

Order was wrong. When I complained to the restaurant the person on the phone was argumentative

Nahari was over salted and barely edible, chicken was dry and not much of it on the kebab. Was supposed to be a chicken kebab but it was all Nan bread, lettuce and sauce. Yoghurt sauce was nice though!

Fantastic food and service as always

Purchased a Donner kebab, have to say its the worst I have ever had. It must have been the meat from shutting shop last night, as they had only just opened @5 and delivery was 5.30 the meat looked like it had been there all day. £6 isn't a lot but what a waste.

Disgusting. Restaurant doesn't even communicate and answer the calls.

Ordered food at 6 and an hour later they cancelled the order and would answer the phone - really poor customer service.

Oh dear.. My I ordered garlic nann and got plain... It was tough and inedible.. The curry was disappointingly tasteless with only 4 pieces of lamb and the sagg looked like the consistency of mint sauce.. A very poor state of affairs

Always great flavours but some non traditional recipes so Jalfrezi isn’t as you’d get elsewhere for example… always great food and service though

Lamb tikka was like stone and not eatable almost untouched straight wasted in to the bin. Nan bread was chewy. Onion bhajis and papadum was good.

Ordered 3 different curries but all tasted the same.

Took 40 mins to deliver and I live 2 mins away from the place ,food was freezing

I love the kitchen always decent food and very fresh. Delivery guy is lovely aswell. Highly recommended

Food was hot and delivered on time but I won’t order again the korma tasted odd, chips were lovely and I asked for no onions in the salad but received onions in the salad, restaurant forgot an item but quickly resolved the problem the guy was verynpolite and delivery driver was also very polite, unfortunately the taste of the korma was just not for me but thanks for a great service! :)

Great quality food and if you order through their website you can get a discount. Delivery can take a while so we prefer to pick it up!

Online Said it had been delivered when it wasnt, rang up to find out what was going on they said it was on its way n it would be 10 mins. Garlic mayo was watery, and kebab tasted bland.

Absolutely disgraceful service, ordered at 8pm with a delivery time specified of 8:35pm - the food arrived at 10:20pm! The delivery driver laughed at being so late! Such a disgrace! Never order from this restaurant!

Kebab was not great, meat tasted reheated

Enjoyed food but kebab came without pitta .so just loads of kebab meat !!!!

We have ordered from here many times, but tonight we will never order from there again. The food wasn’t edible. My husband normally finishes the meal, but had to leave it tonight. The doner meat was like cardboard, the shish kebab was hard. Very little chicken on my pitta. Definitely not value for money. As I say never again!!!!!!!!!!

Delivered in good time, tasty food and colleague helped me out when I rang beforehand struggling to add an item, very friendly and helpful.

I have over 1100 just eat orders and the curries from here are the cleanest best curries you can ever imagine

Always tasty and great quality food

Food was really nice however for 2 dishes we was only given 1 small pot of yogurt sauce and 1 small bag of salad that consisted of a tablespoon of warm soggy lettuce with NO tomato cucumber of onions .

On time but and hour and 15 minutes for delivery is far too long

Great food. 15 mins late to time asked for and also got 2 plain Naan breads instead of one  Peshwari naan and one plain other than that good food. Would of received all stars if these mistakes wasn't made.

Spent £22 o kebabs, chicken was undercooked and rubbery. Lamb tikka seek on the mixed kebab looked days old and we're just microwaved, old and dry. Absolutely disgusting, avoid at all costs. Chips were ok. Which isn't hard. AVOID

Pizza is great, anything else is less so.
