The King's Tun - JD Wetherspoon in Kingston upon Thames

Internet connection is very slow. The coffee machine upstairs is broken. It keeps giving the milk finished error. And nobody's saying, "Let's fix this machine. There is a very dominant and bad odor. It is as if you have kept wet carpets in a closed garage for years. It is very noisy. It's very liberal to talk loudly.

Nice choice of beers,and you can use your Camera Tokens .

Seems like you dont give a ****now but take the money... we ordered a large pitcher strawberry porn star martini at kings tun kingston and it tasted like a cheap juice from a cheap supermarket...no alcohol taste at all.... i was at bar and a customer asked for a pint and the barmaid couldnt remember if she had poured the pint... the customer had his reciept and said he never got the pint... she was like oh i dont no if i poured the pint... absolute joke no one is ever bothered about customers...ive always loved ws for 30 yrs but now i think you dont care about customers just as long as the till is ringing....

The food was very tasty and nice. All good. Only one thing. The table was so dirty I had to clean it myself.

Nice food. Nosh in this place is fantastic. Large mixed grill is superb and so is the steak and kidney pudding. Waitresses are also hot. Enjoy.

Still has Old Rosie cider on, but not openly. There is nothing on display to show it is stocked, but ask for Old Rosie and it will usually be produced from the back storeroom.

Typical Spoons, cheap drinks, micro meals for those too lazy to use the microwave themselves. Good to pop in for a quick drink, although conversation would be difficult as it was noisy when we were there

It was curry night so expected a good curry. Luke warm and rice was hard and cold. Absolutely disgusting

Came here with my sister and sat at table 8. Food was lovely. Gentleman who brought over our food was very kind and welcoming. Overall very pleasant experience

Standard 'Spoons! By day, it's a great place to grab a cheap lunch or drink. Food is great 😃 standard pub food and very reasonably priced! Due to its proximity to the clubs in Kingston, it is a popular place for people to pre-drink particularly on a Friday or Saturday so avoid after about 6:30 if that's not your scene - there will be ID checks and bodyguards on the door!

I have been to plenty of Wetherspoons, and I can tell that easily this is a great place to chill with friends. Food is decent, service is decent. I have visited the place like twice per month I cannot find any other fault apart from men’s bathroom being smelly. Nice atmosphere, nice prices, not very noisy.

Big pub lots of tables. Normal Wetherspoons food so no complaints there and service is quick. Staff are friendly and it's not expensive. Gets busy so time it right! Good for kids too. Ramen is a winner just saying

Good beer range. Food is OK. Disgusting toilets. One beer of great interest shown on the pump clips at an excellent price but the app wanted to charge me significantly more and it turned out they didn't even have it at all.

Came in yesterday morning for breakfast around 1030 with my mum, The ladies on the bar were extremely helpful, GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! The server was very friendly too.. MASSIVE IMPROVEMENT PS also love the new decor! Will def be coming back... AMAZING CUDTOMER SERVICE!! THANK YOU 😊

We've been staying in Kingston for a few days and using The Kings Tun for breakfast and early evening meals. Service has been excellent, food is very good and great value. The staff are friendly and clearly all work very hard. Ordering is straight forward and the food arrives quickly. What do can you ask for? Well done Wetherspoons and the staff at The Kings Tun !

A massive pub in the heart of Kingston.. Offering good food and drink at reasonable prices. Loads of seating upstairs and downstairs but can get very busy.

Great price! Good place for weekend gathering. Plenty tables and seats. Scan QR code to order or pay at counter. Beverage and food are served on the table. The chicken basket is nice. Fish n chip also recommended to try. Kids friendly too. Next time will try curry or noodles. Most impressive is the selection of Drinks/beer!

After bowling 🎳 and some games of pool, we worked up an appetite and like always, great food, plenty of seating I do love these pubs cheap and cheerful 😊 thank you to all the chefs and staff 😀😊

Better in the morning than late evening. The breakfast was superb, which was nice. The beer was ok. The atmosphere in the evening was rather dull tho. All in all not a bad spoons.

Only used this pub because I was visiting the venue across the road. Nothing different from any other Wetherspoons.

Hard cold scrambled egg with burned toast. Vege breakfast - eggs missing. Not worth it - even at these prices it needs to be edible.

It's a Wetherspoons and a good one, great breakfast, fast friendly service via the app. And it has toilets downstairs! And even has a lift to the first floor.

Very loud and busy some times but all in all cheap drinks for London although they have gone up in recent months. Can you really call it London also?

Disappointing experience which is a real shame cause it’s a nice pub. I ordered a vodka monster for my girlfriend, bartender didn’t bother asking which monster like they’re supposed to, my girlfriend tells me it’s the wrong monster when I bring back our drinks so I go to the bar and ask for it to be changed which has never been a problem at other spoons, and I’m told for whatever reason it cannot be changed and instead had to buy another one. Staff’s general attitude was just poor too. Avoid

A pub that doesn't allow dogs only deserves 1 star.

Some low cost beers are not my fave, its good to have those options offered with low prices but some really taste not good.

So on a visit to the kings tun we ordered two all days breakfast it arrived cold it was returned to the kitchen the place is now a joke the food quality is disappointing and disgusting and not even fit for the bin I don’t know how they could even thing about serving disgusting food to the customer like they do. The female manager did not careless if she could resolve the problem or not more interested in talking to her colleagues and having a laugh .this place is going to make someone seriously ill with uncooked food if you want good cooked go across the road to the corner stone you may pay a little more but at least it food you can eat

We love Wetherspoon however I have had to return drinks quite a few times due to dirty glasses and dodgy tasting pints of real ales. But the staff have always rectified this.

I love going to this Weatherspoons because of the seating space both downstairs and upstairs. Table and bar service is quick. Drinks and food are very affordable compared to other pubs. The tables are pretty clean which makes for a comfortable dinning experience if I have a meal inside.

Upstairs bar is quieter and the best part to eat in.

Great Wetherspoon pub. Atmosphere was lively, order and pay just works, bar was busy but was served promptly. Food order was served as expected, looked, and tasted great.

We went to have some beers and hot chocolate. Lots of variety of beers of all kinds. You have to order and take the drinks at the bar. They do not serve on tables. At least, not to us. The hot chocolate, unfortunate. It is part of a well-known pub/restaurant chain in the United Kingdom.

A wide range of extremely well kept ales at incredibly low prices. Good service. Dated decor, but a really big place which caters for pensioners having a cuppa, workmen having a full English, groups meeting for drinks, and loners briefly sheltering from the filthy weather (me).

Tom was exceptional, and loved our experience here as well as the other staff were unbelievable also

Manager working 13/12/24 rude and unaccommodating without reason and should be held to better standards with customer service. Rolled her eyes and denied service on ZERO basis - I can only assume it’s due to the way I look; racism in 2024 is appalling especially in such a renowned establishment. I will be following this up further with the local authorities for discrimination.

You get what you would expect and that is the best thing about Wetherspoons. Good, inexpensive, friendly environment for a drink with your friends. No pretence just pure Wetherspoon's style .

Im at table 101 currently and Lara has been an amazing example of the model employee. Hardworking, polite and super friendly. All round the type of person you would want to have serving your food.

Only use the place to meet the in laws. Decent pint of Shipyard IPA & a Villa Maria for £7.02 which in todays world isn't too bad

Cheap shots of great variety, the Skittle shots are a must try. The chicken vindaloo is spicy indeed, the flavor is mmm ok. But the other English food they serve are pretty standard, nice n comforting.

Shanel was attentive, had focus to detail, was a genuinely an absolute sweet heart and an absolute professional in every sense of the word!

It's a Spoons, but a very big one with lots of seating downstairs and upstairs. Managed to get a table even on a busy Saturday lunchtime and table service through the app was great.

Came here for breakfast yesterday. The service was fast and the food was good, although they did get my order wrong twice, hence the average score.

The staff of this place are racists. They seemed to randomly decide to cut off people from buying more drinks from our group because we were a large group of Indians and kept accusing people of being drunk based on their previous bad experiences. When we tried to be polite and resolve the issue by cutting off the people they wanted and the others tried to continue their drinks we were still not given all drinks we paid for and all in all had a very unpleasant experience two times in a row. Some of the staff were provocative and seeming to create more problem with orders so as to make us want to leave

Wow! very good prices for beer and food. Value for money yes definitely. I went on a Friday evening and it was very busy however the staff served quickly and they were all kind and polite. Yes I'll be going again 👍

I didnt eat on this visit, having just eaten at The Watchman. I enjoyed a good quality real ale: Naked Ladies,for £2.79. Very impressed with the interesting information on the walls regarding the local history. The carpet in this one isnt unique in a spoons.

First visit to Kingston and we decided to check out this Wetherspoons. We were not disappointed. Plenty of Seating and Tables very clean. Which is not always the case in Spoons. Ordered our Curries and Drinks on the App and they arrived promptly and hot as they should be. Very Happy with Staff Service as well. Attentive and Plates and Glasses removed promptly after finishing. Extremely happy to recommend this Pub And we will definitely be back.

Slamming drinks down when delivering to table to go on to Kick out a intoxicated girl due to “duty of care” claiming to not know or even ask her who she’s with to inform them is not duty of care” that’s just kicking someone out so it’s “not your problem” leaving her in more danger. This man shouldn’t have the lone authority to kick someone out like that. Place is cheap but it’s at an alternative cost.

I have been going to The Tun since I was 18 years old. Now I am very very old. Many birthdays have been had here. So I'm somewhat of an expert. Food is spoons food, great for the price. Since the App has come in, the quality of service has increased massively. There's many situations I would come here, and many situations I would avoid. Come for - Cheeky couple of drinks - Breakfast (when they don't run out of ingredients) - To avoid McDonalds - Your budget is tight - The seating upstairs Avoid - Friday and Saturdays for a good time (there are plenty other places in Kingston that actually have an atmosphere... Rip The Tuns discos) - When you are willing to pay an extra £3 per pint for an atmosphere. - Seating downstairs - I'm past having my birthday here, go anywhere else on your birthday

It's a Whetherspoons, cheap beer and lovely food. It was early so hardly anyone in the hence low Atmosphere rating.

Very poor/slow service from the upstairs bar staff. Would not recommend. Tables were dirty and wet.

Waited 20 mins for a shakshuka which came with no eggs, when asked for eggs the server said he’ll get them but didn’t acknowledge us for another 15 mins. I ended up requesting for a refund which was processed straightaway and when asked if it’s because they were out of poached eggs, he said yes. Lousy service since they could’ve explained. Server was James.
