an impressive place to gain knowledge and to spend time, quite often there are events for children

The food is as bad as it is expensive. And you don't even get a fork for that price but only wooden cutlery, because the dishwasher has been broken for weeks. Avoid at all costs!

BEWARE!!🤢🤮🤕🤒 Hopefully they will go bankrupt for treating people like that!! Awful food , believe me , I’ve tried every single dish and ALL OF THEM WERE HORRIBLE! - Very low quality of the ingredients. - Very BAD chef!! (How don’t he understand it himself 🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻 shame!! ) - OVERPRICED -Poor service -Rude personnel So basically, this bloody owner of the cafe is just robbing poor kids and possibly poisoning people , just to make an extra profit. The owner must be jailed for such cheating!!! This place got 1 star , and no one cares!! They still carry on robbing people! ‼️Probably the worst food you can find in London‼️

Hyper inflated prices, cold toasted sandwiches, a croquet monsieur made with dairylee cheese, stale croissant and a very dry brownie. Not impressed (the space looking like it should belong to a bond villain being the only attempt at a saving grace)

Just to try to even out the weirdly hostile reviews this place has: the coffee is really well executed and some of the cakes are fantastic 👌

Possibly the rudest place I have ever been, want to buy coffee and read a book, ( figured that cafe and library sort of indicates this) this is not the place for you, if you want to sit on a table for 4 on your own with a laptop and nurse one coffee then that's probably ok

Utterly terrible coffee - I've just had the worst flat white I have ever been served. To add insult to injury it was also overpriced. This place never has a seat available due to all the children failing to pretend to be adults who take up seating all day long but not buying anything. The area should be glassed off and signs put up telling people they will be asked to leave if not eating/drinking.

Other than the cake, was not dropped on the floor but it was one slice and became three. Thus is due to the waitress movement. Everything else was okayish. Even if people have finished their drinks and want to study and relax then let them. You can not and will not physically force them off the seats especially if they are trying to study and the reading rooms have no space during exam times!

Whatever happened to Peyton and Byrne that ran the cafe at the library. They had far better selections and quality of food with steep but decent pricing. Terrible cold coffee from the machines at Kings on level 2. Also serving scraps for big bills. I feel let down British Library - C'mon you can do better!

The food is good, but expensive for cafe dining. £6 for self service coffee from a machine and a brownie is a little much for what it is. It does make a good break from being in the reading rooms, though.

Have been getting deliveries from Kentish Town for a long time. Always quick and called if any problems. Freshly made.

🚇 Gospel Oak 🍺 £5.50 Cruzcampo The Old Oak is located in Gospel Oak which is close to Hampstead Heath in Northwest London. The nearest station is Gospel Oak which is just across the road. This pub was built after World War II as part of the redevelopment of the area, the current building replaced an earlier building destroyed during the war. This pub is part of the @craftunionpubs chain of pubs. This is a one bar pub that has a traditional local pub feel. The servery is located on the right hand side and has a few stools in front to perch on. The bar is “C” shaped with a pool table and dartboard at one end and a seating area with a curved banquette at the other. The walls are clad in burgundy wood panels plus plenty of screens for watching live sport. One thing that is always great to see, is a proper pub carpet running throughout. If you fancy a bit of fresh air with your pint, there are a number of benches around the front of the pub. The beer line up was all keg with a range of familiar brands to choose from. I decided on a Cruzcampo, my pint was great, price point was below average. This is a Wet-Led pub, meaning it doesn’t serve food. We arrived just before 1pm on a mild Saturday lunchtime in May. The pub was quiet at first, then it started filling up with a local crowd both inside and out. The atmosphere was relaxed, we watched the Celtic v St Mirren game on mute with Bob Marley playing in the background. The service was good, we were served by a nice fella behind the ramp. The @theoldoakpub1 or the “Double O” is down to earth community boozer which has loyal local punters. The beer was decent and not pricey, the atmosphere was relaxed and there was a nice local pub feel to the place. Worth a look if you’re in the area. 📅 18th May 2024 More London Pub info @londonpubmap 🍻
