Strada in Camden

Io e la mia famiglia siamo andati per pranzo e ci siamo trovati benissimo, i piatti erano ottimi. Il servizio eccellente, i camerieri Raffaella e Nico sono stati molto disponibili e gentili. Ci ritornermo sicuramente!

Buonasera, ho cenato in questo locale molto accogliente e carino, dove ho potuto gustare una buona pizza e dove il personale é stato molto gentile e garbato. E poi vuoi mettere, é anche italiano e la nostra cucina si fa sempre riconoscere all'estero. Ho mangiato bene ed il servizio é stato molto veloce, pur essendo il locale tutto pieno.

When my wife and I visit London, we usually have one lunch at Strada, because it's convenient to where we stay in Holborn and to a friend's place of work. But the food and service are average at best. My chicken in a mushroom sauce, for instance, was mediocre and the sauce very thin. I would shrug and say, well, Strada is a chain, so what can I expect, but really, some chains do very well indeed, and Strada could do better. (Also, if they're going to offer a Caesar salad they should spell it right, not "Caeser". Especially for an Italian restaurant.)

We stopped for an late lunch / early dinner and had some delicious food. The 2 course special before 7pm was great value . The tomato soup was the best we’ve tasted. Great coffee too. Fast and efficient service.

Wish I had read the reviews before I booked this place after a trip to a show. I called and booked a table for 9.45 as the website states the place closes at 11. So we get there and are shown to our table. A very rude waiter comes and tells us the kitchen is closing as they are closing the restaurant at 10.30. No problem we begin to order and 2 of the items we ask for are not available. Next the bruschetta comes and is simply a piece of toast with cherry tomatoes. Bear in mind we are starving and so we ate it anyway, the waiter in the meantime keeps going on about how the restaurant is now closed! The pasta came penne pomodora and let's just say it was a can of tomatoes with pasta. We rushed through the meal and complained to the assistant manager about the waiter and the food, and the fact if they were closing early why take a booking at 9.45?! I will not be going to Strada ever again.

We came here for a quick meal on Friday night. The food was ok, eatable apart from one main course which we had to return as it tasted off. I wasn't expecting excellent food as this is tired chain known for serving pre-cooked food. After the meal, I have seen kitchen staff eating in the open kitchen with manager happily watching it. I found this extremely disgusting and unhygienic. I tried to complain the next day to head office and I have been promised refund within 5 days (after chasing). Three weeks later and still no news. Don't waste your time and money.

I came here many times and I have to admit that I never tried the rest of their menu. The pizza was so good that it's the only place I want to go when I decide to have pizza. Great service, exellent ingredients and very good desserts.

Awful service beyond bad, didn’t bring cutlery at all, didn’t take our starters away, disnt change the cutlery. Didn’t bring Parmesan cheese, Waiter ignored me for 5 minutes had to get up and ask for her to come over even tho the restaurant was not full. Dessert was awful! Chocolate fondant, do not order! It tastes like the quick ones u at the supermarket. - sincerely, very disappointed customers.

Have eaten here before over the years. Went for lunch today. The food was excellent for the price but the premises look tired and in need of a spruce up. Even the doors into the restaurant are heavy to open as if it's saying don't bother. Service was pleasant and friendly but the details are missing, for example - cold beer served in a warm glass, hot pasta served in a cold bowl. My dish was cleared away by the waiter whilst my partner was still eating, which is my pet hate. Used to think Strada was a cut above the other Italian chains.

We came here after visiting an exhibition at the British Museum. There is a good choice of food both on the lunch menu & the a la carte. The food was well cooked & tasty. The service was good. It was extremely busy so I would recommend booking.

I have been few times in Strada and seems not to have the excitement of the Good Old Days. Food is always Good and is good value for money

We were staying directly across the street from the Covent Garden Strata, so this was quite convenient. We were pleasantly surprised. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was great--mostly classic Italian dishes--seafood pastas, Saltimbocca, all well prepared. They have a good selection of moderately priced wines. The price of our meal was about half of what we paid in one of the more trendy Covent Garden eateries and every bit as good if not better.

We had the special (theatre?) menu, which comes on much smalerl plates, and is only available till 7pm. The whitebait was good but totally basic served without garnish of any kind,served onlywith caper mayonnaise that didn't taste of capers it was too greasy. The hand rolled pasta was overcooked and the pieces of sausage and pancetta were so small you could tell them apart by taste or sight, there were two asparagus tips also chopped small, it was supposed to be spicy but even my mate who is a sissy with spice said she would also have asked (as I did) for extra on the side. It is definitely ungenerous but it is enough food - just. Americans and the Dutch should avoid the special menu. Our waiter more than made up for menu short comings he was generally welcoming, made jokes with us and got me extra chilli's

Recently visited with dinner with some friends from overseas. Service was a little bumpy and they had to be prompted to bring a glass of wine over. I've been here before and it often feels a little sad to me compared with some of the other Stradas like its a poor cousin. My food was quite good but not the best and they had run out of a particular type of pasta - the tiramisu was quite poor. All in all a place that has lost its mojo and I don't think its giving good value for money.

We arrived at 5pm, and were promptly seated, and served with drinks, and a generous Italian Breads starter. For mains, we had pasta & risotto - both dishes were tasty. By 5:45 many of the tables were occupied, with a happy crowd. Service was friendly, the menu had plenty to interest us, and the wine was good
