The Kings Arms in Cheltenham

Private party so food by others. Service was good at the Bar Typical local pub atmosphere

Just had a TERRIBLE first experience. Recently moved so was looking for the closest pub that was showing the football. Kings Arms website says the game is on (image attached) so walk down for kick off. Lights are on and games on TV, go to open the door and its locked... A local stood closeby also waiting calls the owner who says he went out and will be back in 10. No note on door. Wait atleast 15 mins watching the game through the window, atleast 4 more people waiting to get in now. Clearly says on google and website that its open. Owner then texts local back to say he wont be coming back anytime soon...leaving everyone to walk off after 20+ minutes wasted. Worst first impression possible, will not be returning. GO TO ANY OTHER LOCAL PUB, THIS OWNER CLEARLY DOES NOT CARE!

Stopped off on the way back to my Premier Inn. Typical neighbourhood pub. Good pint of Guinness at a reasonable price. No frills - no food.

Lovely outside seating area and a decent selection of drinks. Nice and quiet when we went for a birthday event.

Nice atmosphere and fairly cheap! Not the classiest of Cheltenhams pubs but this isnt a problem when the drinks are reasonable!

Shame the first pint of London Pride was a bad one. Wizards of Oz Brill. Hope they put on more live bands.

Been staying at the kings Arms Gloucestershire had a lovely cottage with our pet the lovely staff were so helpful. They have nice gardens and the food was good too would come back again sometime Thankyou for a lovely weekend

A nice traditional pub with lots of regulars! How a pub should be in my opinion. Sport on the TV's too and what a bonus - a Chinese takeaway next door!

We experienced a very arrogant landlord, he made people feel very unwelcome and he liked drinking the dregs from already drank out of glasses, where is the covid restriction there

Waited almost a hour for our meal, fried skinny chips a and a veggie burger. Plus mash and steak pie accompanied by three carrots and a few peas and a tiny bit of cauliflower. Really disappointing really don’t know what’s changed used to be good?

A total throwback to how a pub used to be in the best possible way. Pool, darts, events, locals, outside area, friendly atmosphere.

Feels like a proper old fashioned style pub. Everybody is local with friendly staff.

Pre - racing stop off for early morning Guinness. Great pint, friendly atmosphere.

Great wee pub excellent bar staff and a range of ales and draughts cider and larger a wonderful gin menu and I would say 1 of the best pints of Guinness in Cheltenham if not the whole Gloucestershire.
