The Khyber Indian Restaurant in Swindon

Yet again an amazing experience here. A busy Saturday night yet the staff were so attentive and focused on customer service. We tried different meals to other visits and were not disappointed. Excellent food, a great atmosphere and an excellent customer experience. It may only be my third time there but 10/10 to all the staff at The Khyber

Great Indian restaurant with really friendly staff! Never had a bad meal at the Khyber, would definitely recommend to anyone wanting an Indian in Swindon.

Came with friends for my birthday. The meals where a Thursday special price , you get a lot for your money. It was very tasty. The music was pleasant not to loud so you could talk and enjoy.the staff are very attentive. Also I got spoilt, they gave me birthday balloons cake and a bunch of flowers. Great food, great service. In Swindon for a couple of days, stayed in Premier In not far away. Found this place by accident, as it didn’t show up on Google maps search. Had a lamb methi and a paneer side on the first night. Delicious, well spiced and seasoned, staff were friendly and despite having not ordered popadums I got back to discover I had three added, with pickles. Despite alternatives went back the following night, had a biryani and Dahl side. Again lovely, and again freebie popadums and pickles. Can’t recommend this place enough, I live in Norfolk so probably won’t be back in the near future, but would rate this as probably the best Indian takeaway I’ve been to.

Second time my take away meal has been cold. Not acceptable for less than a 200m delivery. Tried to get help on their own site but no options.

First time visit. Thus restaurant was recommended by a local lady who comes here often. I booked 11 of us in to celebrate a birthday. We bought balloons with us however the restaurant had also bought balloons and placed them on the table. The service was impeccable, extremely friendly staff and the food was amazing. I love a good curry, I am from Birmingham and live down here for work and I have found it challenging to find good Indian food. Not now!! Although 50 min drive I shall definitely be visiting again. Unfortunately none of us took photos of the food! We were all enjoying ourselves to much I think. After we had finished we were given take away containers for leftovers (generous portions) and plates were cleared. They then bought out a cake with a flaming candle and sang happy birthday! Then presented our friend with flowers!! I honestly was blown away by everything. Food excellent, cleanliness excellent, toilets very clean, staff very friendly made us laugh and were just perfect. Thank you for such a wonderful night.

Not sure they know about spice or cooking or service or anything that might make you want you to go back

I popped in for a takeaway tonight after dropping the wife off for a night out. I haven't been in the Khyber for several years and had forgotten how good it was . I ordered a lamb dopiaza and pilau rice and wasn't disappointed with my choice. I only waited 10 minutes for it. The staff were friendly and helpful and I was soon on my way. The curry was one of the best I'd tasted for a long time. Nice chunks of tender lamb and lots of it in a lovely sauce, with a generous portion of rice. They're doing a sit in deal at the moment, Sunday to Thursday, so I'll be going back soon. Well done Khyber 👏👏

I honestly don't know how this place has good reviews or the regular customers dont know what a good indian restaurant is! I would say was the worst indian I have ever had , really poor. I dont know where to start really but we waited over an hour for the main course thinking it must be worth it and it was terrible , tasteless and the chicken was minimal and in cubes . The starters were not as described and again poor, I wish Id taken photos I would say avoid unless you are out for a drunk night and dont care what youre eating This is an honest review as was quite taken aback with the whole experience and £120 out of pocket terrible

Food is 10/10, service also 10/10, nothing is too much but what stands out is the cleanliness - never have I ever seen such a clean restaurant. Can’t fault in any way. Well done all

Best curry going , I live near Bath every time I pass through Swindon I always pick up a curry from them Lamb jalfrez is out of this world have tried lots around my area nothing is as good as there's ,kids have chicken korma, they say its the best they have eaten and they are quite fussy Good size portions looking forward to my next vist

Absolutely INCREDIBLE. Hands down the best curry I have ever ever eaten. I ordered my go too Chicken Tikka Masala and pilau rice! It was incredible 👏🏽 I used order just the sauce from other places because I don't usually like the chicken but I ate all the chicken I didn't want it to end and I am craving another one haha!! So happy I chose The Khyber! Its the best!! Cant wait to order again! Well, I’ve tried many Indian restaurants, including really expensive ones. Forget them all, try the humble Khyber restaurant at the bottom of Victoria road, Swindon. I’ve never had anything like it, superb flavours, outstanding meals everytime I’ve been there. Excellent!

I ordered food at half 8 and it said it would take an hour, at 9:40 I rang up and asked where it was! It finally turned up at 10 pm. I opened the bag which was covered in sauce which my curry had been squished and was all over the bag! Don't think we will be using this place to get a curry again!
