Keller Taproom is primarily a pub rather than a restaurant. I visited on a night out with friends after discovering it while heading for another pub. It's tucked away a bit on Broughton Street Lane and so it probably qualifies as being a hidden gem. It would be easy to walk past on Broughton Street and not know it was there. There was a good selection of beer and the service was prompt. I enjoyed my visit and I'd definitely visit again.

We visited on early Saturday evening as we were looking for quality beer and a wee bite to eat. We'd looked on the website where it states that food is available, boards and pate/pretzels. Some of the beer on the menu was not available and when I asked about food I was told there was no food due to, 'January supply issues'. I said that the website indicates food but was told there was no food. We ate 2 bags of crisps instead. The decor was pleasant and cosy. The beer we did have was good but its a shame the offering had changed to that which the website suggests. Maybe update the website so customer expectations are managed?

Off the beaten path. Great music and relaxed atmosphere. The in-house brewed beer is delicious. You will not regret a visit.

I've not been for a good few months although small things seem to have changed for the worse? No table service and a reduced beer menu is a big shame. It's still a nice little place to do although the drinks menu is nothing special as it once was.

If you want good beer and a lovely evening in a nice environment go to the Keller! It may be tricky to find, but it's worth it!

Lovely little place hidden away from the hustle and bustle. Went after a nice meal nearby and it was busy which is always a positive sign. Despite not booking (highly recommended for some of the better seats such as by the fire or in the window in the egg shaped chairs) was offered a seat quickly and service was great. Wide selection of beers, ales and cocktails were fab.

After a day/night along the Royal Mile, we wanted to explore some of the more local spots and stumbled upon The Keller Taproom. It’s tucked away in a back alley but by no means difficult to find or access. We were welcomed with one of the coolest atmospheres (low key yet vibrant) and a great tap list, complete with two beers brewed on location. Add in a friendly owner/staff and it was just what we were looking for. We’ll be back!

Rad location, great staff/owner, beautiful plant covered venue altogether. Owner was making about 30 top notch drinks a minute whilst keeping a conversation with us. Simply amazed by the service, as well as the atmosphere.

Love the low ceilings with sparkly lights and hops on them. The wine list is good as are the cocktails. Cannot say about the beers as I don’t drink them but I bet they are varied and well chosen. Such a nice ambiance. Staff always friendly but service is always a wee bit slow even for cocktails. Next time I’m ordering a bottle of wine whilst they make my cocktails. ;-)

2nd time I’ve been to The Keller. Both times I enjoyed. Not a lover of beers but the cocktails & wine list is pretty good too. The space is lovely. The staff attentive. Saw a couple of dogs with owners in there whilst there. May being my pooches next time. Will definitely return for drinks in near future & recommend to others.

A real find. Central but just tucked away. This bar has such a great feel to it. Everything done to a high standard. Seating comfortable and spacious. Great range of drinks. Loved the beers and cocktails. Particularly liked Dunkel dark malty lager and Fierce Hazy IPAs. The staff are so friendly and efficient. I would really recommend you seek it out.

Along a quiet side street, this bar (recently renovated) is quite simply put a classy establishment. Nice decor with very friendly staff is a plus, but the star/s of the show are the beers. A couple are brewed on site and taste - thumbs up. Good music as well...as in tone of sound as well as being easy going.

The Keller Taproom , is a unique very relaxed bar tuck away on Broughton Street Lane ,just of Broughton Street in Edinburgh, having happened on it by chance we were really impressed by the stunning decor which atracted a great mixture of clients, the music in the bar was fantastic and seemed to have an exceptionally good sound system. The team running the bar were really helpful and allowed me to sample several of their own brewed beers which were outstanding before making my selection and at very competative prices . This bar is definitely worth finding , beautiful, relaxed, great selection of beers including The Keller Taprooms own brew. Highly recommended

Loved the look and feel of the Keller, we had a great time. Can’t say enough good things about it - staff were brilliant and there was a good selection of drink options. Would highly recommend the schnapps! Definitely worth a visit.

I loved the decor and vibe of the bar. I also liked being able to look at/purchase a plant! Service was good. We found that asking was easier to navigate than the online menu which was a little glitchy and didn’t have all stock on it. It was a little cold inside, assuming the door is kept open for ventilation. Venue felt clean and freshly decorated. Reasonably priced for city centre.

The coffee is lovely but the wait was too long. Lots of staff but they just plodded along unaware of the queue. The toasted sandwich was very bland and certainly not worth the wait.

We had our wedding day at beauvale priory and I can honestly say it was our best day ever. The attention to detail and staff were second to none. We had lasagne and salad and pizza for our meal and freshly made on site. In the evening we had chip cobs and freshly homemade artisan doughnuts everything made by Cameron on site. Thanks Tony for wearing your kilt, thanks Ann for telling me to slow down and take every minute in, thanks Lauren and Troy for all your advice when we made the booking and changing a few things last minute. Highly recommended ❤️ thank you so much and we wish we could do it all again x
