Perfect full English - came here after staying at Newcombes and attending a wedding at The White Hart. We were very warmly greeted as soon as we arrived and offered tea/coffee, fab service, delicious breakfast and a good price 👍🏻

I booked to come for breakfast with a friend this week after hearing someone talk about it in a local pub. On arrival you drive into a business park and part of you feels like your in the wrong place but tucked to the side as you enter is a little Kabin, as the saying goes, 'never judge a book by its cover'. This breakfast is by far, the best Full English i've ever eaten, i know that sounds dramatic and your thinking 'ever eaten' well honestly, it is. There are multiple options on the menu including a vegetarian. I ummed and arrd as they all sounded so good and eventually went for the Full English which comes with a tea or coffee and orange juice, the perfect amount of hot and cold liquid to start you off. Then the breakfast, Bacon, sausage, beans, tomato, mushrooms, egg, black pudding and a choice of either hash browns or even bubble and squeak! Well the breakfast came, not only did it look amazing and taste amazing but one of my biggest loves about this breakfast was how clean it was, honestly there was none of that grease slipping around the plate, or that floppy anemic colored bacon covered in fat that some places serve, it was none of that, it was clean, fresh, home cooked and you could see the care and dedication the chef had put it to cooking and preparing it. Then on the side you get the option of either white or brown toast, so brown was my option and now..... i wouldn't class my self as a bread snob, but everyone knows the difference between a proper fresh loaf of bread or a cheap bottom of the shelf loaf of bread, well this was proper, seedy, lovely fresh bread with a nice crusty edge, you know the ones i mean. Oh also, I dont like black pudding all that much so asked to have this left off and instead was offered the chance to have both hash browns and bubble and squeak, now ive only ever had bubble and squeak and Christmas but after having it for breakfast, this chef has brought a whole new understanding to bubble and squeak for me, amazing! The venue itself is a cute little cabin with windows overlooking the front so there is lots of natural light inside, nice tables and chairs with place mats on each table, napkins and proper cutlery. Finally the chef and waiting staff are so friendly, you can see the chef in the kitchen as you arrive which i really like and its honestly like going to a friends house for dinner where as soon as walk in the door you feel welcome and right at home.

The Kabin is a great unassuming venue that serves top food in a fun and homely environment. Good for breakfasts and lunch time meals. Great prices as well.

Don’t judge a book by its cover! Tucked away in the corner of a business yard, this is a real gem. My fishing partner Rob and I first visited in February, as somewhere to grab a bite to eat after an early start. It has now become part of the enjoyment of our regular trips to the Carp Fishery up the road. Everything we’ve tried has been simply superb! Not haute cuisine but that’s not what we want. Great quality food brilliantly cooked and with service to match. You will not be disappointed...

Popped round with the kids for a late breakfast over half-term, following a recommendation by a friend. Great food, chef was welcoming and friendly, and the place was spotless. Not your standard greasy spoon: worth a visit. I can see it becoming a bit of a regular haunt (particularly once the kids are back at school!).

A little treasure, tucked away on the edge of the village. We had a fantastic breakfast at a reasonable price and found the service to be extremely good too.

Nick served us a great bap!! Chelsea cooked, and both served us with smiles and courtesy, despite being on the verge of closing. Would definitely stop here for pleasant service and good tasting breakfast!! Thank you 😊

Unfortunately this is the only fish and chip shop that delivers in Halstead. Just had cod and chips delivered, came fairly quickly but the food was rubbish. £4.50 for soggy onion rings, the chips were pale and not cooked properly and the cod, well, the cod was in a soggy batter, the batter was all flat and not crispy like it had been put into oil that’s not hot enough, and the fish had a bit of a funny taste, especially the ends of it. Next time I’ll go and collect form one of the other chippys in town. I cannot recommend this place and certainly will not order from here again.

Ordered chips found a hair in my food, let alone chips were hard and half frozen, normally have a good experience. Also ordered food before and asked to be left on the doorstep didn’t do that banged louder than they usually do!
