The owner of this restaurant verbally abused an 88 year old woman because she paid for her food but dared to say the peas were cold. This woman is my nan and he told her to shut up before she got a chance to even talk whilst telling her she’s barred for not liking the food. I reiterate she is 88, frail and overall she was scared of this man. This woman never complains and still happily paid for her meal. Never asked for her money back once. I find this absolutely appalling that this man would shout and intimidate a group of elderly women on their own, seems like some kind of sick power trip. Clearly should not be arround people especially vulnerable ones. My nan would eat her monthly with her friends, this often being her only social interaction with her friends and has never complained once, he has petrified her.

Came for a carvary dinner. Very good. Staff helpful. No carpark but there is a 2hr free carpark behind.

We both had a special board meal today bacon&liver mash&3Veg Delicious 😋🤤hot and a good portions, good value for money, staff very friendly and polite will definitely be coming again

Not been to this pub for over 40 years. I knew it as a teenager when it was the Gorsey Brigg. Inside is completely different now. The food was very good, staff friendly and polite. Recommended.

Fantastic pub with a great atmosphere, and the best landlords (Ashley and Karl). Always looked after (including kids), great food and drink (reasonably priced). The quiz nights are a must on Tuesdays and Wednesdays 👌

Very freindly staff, was quiet at the time of visit. Have been many times previously and the service was excellent as always. Slightly disappointed as the meat was a little over cooked on rhis occasion, but the chips etc. were delicious as always.

Very much a local pub, the food is decent and service depends on how busy it is. The roof is leaking over the bar and had been for weeks. Occasionally will drip in your pint. That aside, it's a nice friendly, local pub.

The food here is very good value,and very good food , plenty of it and very tasty. The question always after having a meal is , will I come back? Yes is the answer without doubt.and just to add a bit of dessert to my comments, yes they were good as well . The only drawer back is the off street parking only two hours before you must pay or get a letter in the post. BUT THESE TYPES OF PARKING PLACES MUST BE A PET PEVE FOR EVERYONE. JUST TRY DROPPING SOMEONE OFF AT AN AIRPORT!!!! The JOLLY FARMER is well worth a visit. Well done

Real authentic English pub with good atmosphere, the staff is polite and attentive. If you want to spend a nice evening and experience the pub vibe, don't hesitate, it worth visiting it.

Dropped in on a Saturday 6pmish quite busy with regulars, could not fault service, food & atmosphere, although not a vast choice the beers on offer were ok and food was hot and plentiful we will try it on a regular basis.

Comfortable suburban pub which met all my Monday lunchtime needs. Admittedly, they comprised 'being open' and serving a nice pint of cask at the difficult hour of first thing in the drinking week. Clearly pulled through and spot on pint of Stancill. Not everywhere gets these things right at the same time. Interested to see gamma ray on draft rather than neck oil. Adventurous! On a good pub bus route

Went there for a Sunday lunch and thoroughly enjoyed it, I didn't go traditional but chose the Mexican option, The service was excellent and the food piping hot, Staff were polite and attentive. Would definitely go again.

Rather disappointing. Having read positive reviews about this place, we called to reserve a table. Gentleman on phone sounded rather suprised that I had telephoned and asked to book a table, he was quite rude

Good to see the jolly farmer finally getting some craft beer in. Still a long way to go compared to other local pubs but it's a step in the right direction.

Meal with 2 young grandchildren. Good kids menu and we were seated in a semi private booth. Kids loved it want to go again. Good choice of food and table service was efficient.

Lovely pub, great outdoor seating area and the Covid restrictions are being adhered to stringently... very safe for any of you worriers out there.....

Funeral reception. No staff. Covid rules kept changing when trying to get served. Tried to question reasoning but told to get out. Been going for 20yrs plus. That's me done. Bring back Ash.

If I could give no stars I would! AVOID this pub by all costs absolutely disgusting customer service to a disabled man who needed the toilet! Discrimination against invisible disabilities. All my partner needed to do was go to the toilet because he has ruptured disks and can not hold it, this being said my partner did not want to go in the street in public like most men would in this situation. But the staff who work at this pub refused a member of the public (a disabled member of the public at that) to use a public toilet. I doubt a pregnant woman would have been turned away so there is no excuse for this vile and embarrassing ordeal my partner just had to go through!
