This place is a real find!. It's authentic atmosphere coupled with the most amazing food make it one of the best little restaurants we've been to. The owner and staff are the friendliest and most helpful and the prices are great too!. Just give it a try. 10/10

Went for an afternoon lunch and got told the chef wasn’t there yet and running late, there was no atmosphere there and no one was in the restaurant. Our food dishes came out at separate times. It was an over all weird experience and probably wouldn’t go back. The food was okay but nothing amazing.

On holiday in area & had read reviews that said restaurant was good . Food was ok..starters delicious , but I wouldn't have said my food was a "stir fry" ...big chunks of chicken ...not what I usually get in a Thai restaurant, plus microwaved Rice . Not much ambience, definitely more pub vibe than restaurant...plus we were the only diners. One big minus point ...tried to charge us for a dish we hadn't ordered ...not sure whether genuine mistake or trying it on 😞

Lovely meal. We had the sharing platter - tempura prawns were divine! Friendly and attentive staff. The restaurant was clean and tidy. We went on a Friday night and it wasn’t too busy.

the owner and staff are very nice people the beer is clean and refreshing plus the food is out of this world! a little hidden gem I will deffinately be returning.

We've just had our first takeaway from the Jockey. The staff were friendly, took care to make sure they'd got the order correct on the phone and the food was excellent. Fresh tasty and very well prepared. We will be back.

Went in alone on a Sunday night. Food was delicious and great value. I had the salt & pepper squid and then the duck curry. Portions were really good. The duck curry had a good kick to it and the flavours were great the sweetness of the fruit (lychee, pineapple, grape) was excellently balanced with heat from the nutty curry. Service was really good. Attentive but gave enough space. Just a shame it was empty.

This small restaurant is in a quiet part of town and so has a very friendly and relaxing atmosphere. Both the staff and customers are very nice. We enjoyed some authentic Thai food prepared by the new chefs who have many years of experience working in Thailand and the UK. We had a selection of rice and fish dishes that were served with care. The price was very reasonable too. I am looking forward to going back already.

Friendly little pub, with a well stocked bar. Plenty of space to sit down inside and out, with there recently spruced up beer garden ready for the summer There's more than meets the eye to this pub, as they are also a Thai restaurant with traditional food that would make a perfect dinner out, or if you want something on the lighter side a sharing platter to give you a little taste of everything Staff are friendly and make you feel welcome in the space, I would whole heartedly reccomned stopping in and I know I'll be going back.

This place is a little gem - food was delicious you can tell ingredient’s used were fresh. The owners are lovely and accommodating as well - will for sure come again.

I would give the food ten stars if I could!! so fresh, the flavours are amazing, everything is cooked from scratch and there is a wonderful range of dishes from the traditional to the rarely heard of, with plenty of vegetarian and vegan options too. The kimchi fried rice was a revelation :) Please go - you won't regret it!

Fantastic Thai food - so tasty and fresh and very reasonably priced. The owner Kung is so friendly and attentive (as are the rest of her staff). The pub is also very warm and cosy. I can’t recommend this place highly enough - you just have to visit!

I went to the Jockey on the day that Sala Thai Kitchen opened. I had the Masuman Curry which was delicious. I've been back again with friends. We all chose different options from the very varied menu. Some vegetarian and other fish and meat dishes. All were very freshly cooked and delicious. Very friendly atmosphere and welcoming staff. I will definitiely be going again.

We had an awesome lunch with the family. The food was awesome, very fresh and flavoursome. The service was great and nothing was too much trouble. Would recommend. They do chicken nuggets and chips for kids who are less adventurous.

Hosting was really lovely, really nice food, and very nice environment, good for larger parties, and it’s clean and tidy. Value is very good too.

Attended a friend's birthday and we ordered the roast duck with spicy fried rice, spicy fried rice with prawns 😋. I must say, this is the best Thai food I've had and would definitely pin this pub as my to go for organizing any group meals in the future. Great customer service and environment 👍. 10/10.

Came across this gem whilst on a weekend away from London. We were recommended by locals as we were looking for a pub with a dart board. It turned out to be best evening, with the most delicious, fresh, authentic Thai food cooked with love from wonderful family. They had a full bar and a great set up which means you could spend all evening there. Will definitely be returning just to go back to this place. Would highly recommend!

We went for dinner on a Sunday. There was no one else there, but the Barman was friendly and welcoming. For the 3 of us, we ordered; vegetable spring rolls, chips and corn cakes for starters. Unfortunately they did not have the corn cakes, so they suggested vegetable tempura (which was not on the menu). All of the starters were good. For the mains we ordered a green curry with vegetables and tofu accompanied by jasmine rice. This was very tasty and reasonably chilly. They also had a good selection of Thai Beers.

A disappointing return for us. We placed an order for takeaway and most of the items we wanted to order weren't available. There was no tofu available so I ordered a vegetable red curry. We also ordered a green chicken curry and egg fried rice. The chefs made the green curry vegetarian and red curry with chicken. The egg fried rice is not anything like what we have had before at other Thai restaurants...it was simply rice and egg. There were no peas, etc. It was bland. We were really pleased this place had reopened but sad that their menu is very limited now, and the food not up to standard. We hope it is simply initial opening issues rather than how the place runs.

Only been open for 3 days under current owners. The Barman was polite and friendly. We were the only people there I think and was very very quiet. The Barman brought out the non-english speaking chef to explain what it was we wanted to order. A few errors on the order (ordered Squid, got Tofu, didn't have whole fish even though they thought they had it, so had Duck instead). All that being said, food they had was hot and tasty and would certainly try it out again if in the area.

We heard a rumour that The Jockey was going to stop serving food and so had to make sure to try it before it did. Thankfully the rumour was unfounded and The Jockey will continue service for the forseeable future. As a family-run business, you can tell the meticulous care and attention applied to each dish. We had duck spring rolls, salt and pepper squid, deep fried seabass with chillies, and stir fry duck with cashew nuts, and we enjoyed every morsel. Everything was freshly prepared, the ingredients were high quality, and the environment was very pleasant. It is no wonder each table was occupied. Our favourite was the salt and pepper squid - you should definitely try it - and we will be coming back again.

Great place if you want authentic Thai food and has the added benefit of being a pub (Heineken always nice and cold). I more or less grab a couple beers and order a take out, which is ready by the time I finish. Come to realise they have a good online ordering platform. Will be giving that ago soon. The owners are super friendly and know their customers. Since I have recently moved here from London it’s now become my local.

We had are first takeaway on Saturday and my god was it good!!! The food was really good much better then our usual Chinese! We ordered it on line and they delivered at the time we asked for by a lovely young lady! and we will be ordering and again this weekend! Please dont take any notice of the the one star review left on there web site! It was a mistake by my wife which she can’t change! She didn’t mean to do that she would have give the full 5

Lovely new owners, sat and watched the rugby and plenty of nice beers on tap, maybe an A-frame outside the door to show when open as I have tried a few times and the door was locked
